"it is strange that we spend most of our time working a lot of true crime cases and yet with you by my side, even the darkest ones feel a little brighter..."

MARJORIE WATSON never thought she would be standing in front of the Behavioral Analysis Unit in Quantico. Hell, she never even thought she would reach the age of twenty-five. But here she was.

Growing up in Washington Heights, her life wasn't easy. At the mere age of two, Marjorie was left on the doorstep of Sixth Street Orphanage with no birth certificate or information about who she was. Not wanting her to stay nameless, the orphanage's director, a kind woman called Ms. Watson, named her Marjorie, drawing inspiration from Marge Sherwood in The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Numerous families showed interest in adopting her over the years, but Marjorie's hopes of finding a permanent home were repeatedly dashed by bureaucratic obstacles and unforeseen circumstances. This relentless cycle left her with no option but to remain in the orphanage, moving from one temporary placement to another within the foster system, each transition leaving her more emotionally scarred than the last.

Surrounded by danger and grief as she experienced the harsh realities of the system first hand, Marjorie made a promise to herself to make a difference. She started her journey at community college with a focus on criminal justice, and the tragic loss of her best friend two years later only fueled her determination. However, she could no longer stay in New York, and wanting to forget all of her regrets, she moved to Florida. There, she dedicated herself to her education, earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and psychology, as well as a master's degree in behavioral sciences, all while successfully completing the demanding training at the police academy.

Now, a new chapter of her life is about to start, one she is both excited and scared for. Because, truth be told, all Marjorie has ever wanted is to leave her past behind, but that will prove rather difficult when it comes back to haunt her...
