(Another story part)

Livia stretched and sat up in her soft bed. She brushed out her long dirty blonde hair and she slowly made her way downstairs for some breakfast. As she was walking she noticed the calendar on the wall. Today was her date with Kili! She instantly got more of a skip in her step and finished her breakfast quickly so she could go riding out to meet Kili.

"Vili, stop it!" Kili shouted trying to get his younger sister to stop bothering him and let him sleep.

"But Kili! You have your date with Livia today and you already slept through breakfast!" Vili said, still shaking his shoulder.

"My date with Livia is today?!" Kili said bolting upright in bed.

"You forgot?! What's wrong with you?!" Vili shouted.

"Get out of my room!" Kili exclaimed, pushing her towards the door.

"Ugh! Fine. I'm going to have my picnic with Merry! Since I remembered my date unlike SOME PEOPLE!" Vili said as Kili slammed the door in her face.

Kili quickly changed clothes and rushed out the door to get his pony. Oh man I hope I'm not too late! He thought before losing himself in riding.

Where is he? Livia thought as she waited at their meeting spot. She sat down on the grass with Angel (her horse) tied to a tree and she waited. A few minutes later Kili came bursting through the trees on his pony, both of them breathing hard and sweaty.

"Kili, you're a little late." Livia teased, standing up to give him a hug.

"Sorry, I woke up late and um Vili was distracting me and stuff." Kili said, jumping off his pony and giving his love a hug.

"Can we go now?" Livia asked, gesturing to their path to Rivendell, where they would have their picnic.

"Certainly!" Kili said, mountain his pony again.

They rode slowly and made small talk before entering beautiful Rivendell.

"Let's sit over here in the shade." Livia suggested, leaving her horse in the stables and taking her bag over to a shaded area by the river. Kili did the same and joined her.

The breeze was very soft and cool and they were both calmed by the trickling of the water. Suddenly the tricking is replaced with a horrid scream.

"What was that?" Livia asked, showing fear in her eyes.

"Orcs!" Kili shouted, grabbing his bow and loosing an arrow. Livia reached for her sword. The screeches were getting louder and Livia and Kili knew they had to kill this rogue band of orcs before they entered Rivendell. They ran out to the border of Rivendell and peered out through the bushes at the ant sized orcs in the distance that were growing by the second.

"Come on!" Livia said, starting to run.

"No!" Kili said, grabbing her arm, "You need to go back and get some of the other elf soldiers."

"But I can fight!" Livia argued, "watch!" She jumped from the bushes and ran at the orcs full speed and proved a good warrior. She fought off the orcs better than most and Kili didn't stop her once she started. In a few minutes all the orcs were dead and lay at their feet.

"You are a good fighter!" Kili said, breathless from the battle.

"Thank you! You're not so bad yourself." Livia teased.

They walked back to Rivendell and finished their picnic.

"I should probably be getting back home." Livia sighed.

"Before you go, I have something for you." Kili said.

"What?"

Kili didn't answer. Instead he placed a gentle kiss on Livia's lips. Livia blushed and smiled.

"I love you, Kili."

"I love you too, Livia."
