(Story part)

"How do I look?" Lili asked before turning around and facing the mirror.

"You look stunning!" Vili replied, clapping her hands with glee. Lili was wearing her simple brown leather clothes but Vili had done her hair for the special occasion.

Her date with Sam.

"I'm going to trust you on this. Though I'm pretty sure that I shouldn't." Lili said, looking skeptical. She wasn't always sure when to trust her playful sister.

"Just look." Vili groaned. Lili turned around slowly and examined her hair. Instead of being in a French braid down the back like it usually was, it was done up in a fancy braided style that wrapped around her head.

"Wow," She breathed, "Thank you, Vili!" She gave her sister a hug and then decided it was time to hurry on to meet Sam.

"Goodbye! Have fun!" Vili called as her sister disappeared on Quinn (her horse).

"Mister Frodo!" Sam called out, looking for his friend.

"Hello Sam! What's the matter?" Merry replied walking up the path to him.

"I can't find Frodo and I was hoping he'd give me some ideas for my date with Lili tonight." Sam said, nervously adjusting his waistcoat. Merry chuckled.

"Sam! It's not that hard. Just talk and have fun!"

"It's easy for you since you are naturally fun. And a trouble maker."

"Make some trouble then!"

"I don't like breaking rules."

"You're impossible, Sam." Merry leaned against a fence post and bit into his Apple.

"You need to help me." Sam said.

"With what? It's not my date. I'm not coming to chaperone." Merry said, rolling his eyes.

"Watch from a distance?" Sam asked, quietly, "You can help me if I slip up."

"Sheesh. Fine." Merry finally agreed.

"Sam!" Lili shouted with glee as she spotted him sitting on the fence. She got down off her horse and turned to see Merry crouching behind a bush. She furrowed her brow in confusion, but shrugged it off. As long as Vili isn't here to ruin anything. She thought.

"Lili! It's good to see you!" Sam called, walking to her for a hug, "So what do you want to do today?"

"I don't mind. It's a beautiful day, we could go for a walk through the Shire?" Lili admiring the bright land where her boyfriend lived.

"Sure! Let's go!" Sam said. He hooked his arm through hers in an awkward fashion and they both started laughing.

"Maybe we should just hold hands." Lili said, intertwining her fingers through his. Sam slightly blushed and glanced backwards at Merry. Merry rolled his eyes at their cute mishap and continued to follow them.

"Look at that pretty flower!" Lili squealed with delight, pointing at a blood red flower.

"I don't know what kind of flower that is." Sam said, with a confused look.

"I do. It's a seregon. Vili's middle name is Seregon, that's how I know what it is." Lili replied.

"Seregon is her middle name?!" A voice came from behind.

"Merry! Stop following us!" Lili shouted.

"Sam told me to follow you!" Merry said, defending himself.

"Why?" Lili asked.

"I thought I might need some help on our date today." San replied.

Lili rolled her eyes, "You don't need any help."

"Guys, don't kiss in front of me." Merry said, shielding his eyes.

"Too late." Lili whispered before Sam leaned in.

"Gah! No!" Merry shouted before running away.

"Well, that got rid of him." Sam laughed.

"By the way, Sam, I had a great time walking with you today." Lili said.

"I had a great time with you too."
