LAKETOWN: AFTER THE DRAGON IS KILLED

You had just made it to shore, and you were cold, wet, hungry, and terrified.

"Ma? Da?" You croaked as your petite figure moved through the crowd, your heart rising with every minute with fear as you continued to see unfamiliar faces. What if the dragon burned them? What if they drowned? You were only eleven, but you were clever, smart, and had fast instincts.

It felt like years as you searched for your parents, and every minute that passed gave you a sense of dread.

Suddenly you felt your body being pushed to the side by no other Alfred.

"Watch where your going!" He spoke angrily. As you stood up getting soaked once again.

"Am adult pushing down a child, how very mature." You spoke sarcastically. "I suppose you'll be going after the children's food, and the masters gold instead of helping. "
Alfred's fist began to shake as you continued on, very fed up with the man's ways. Your posture straightened as you stood strong against the coward. "Your a coward Alfred and you should-"

Alfred raised his hand ready to swipe your cheek when a strong arm grabbed his causing Alfred's eyes to widen in shock.

"You dare to hit a child?!" He spoke with anger. "A child who is defenseless?"

"She was insulting me and I decided to teach her a lesson."

"He was the one that shoved me into the water!" You protested. "I was merely looking for my parents. "

Legolas's eyes glared at Alfred who had a light color to his cheeks.

"Turn out your pockets." He spoke as he pointed his sword. Alfred stood still as Legolas sighed. "Very well then." Legolas's sword cut through and plenty of food spilled out.

"I suggest you leave, and don't ever think about touching a woman or a child ever again. " Legolas growls.

Alfred sulked and stomped away as you stared at Legolas in amazement.

"That.... was AWESOME!" You cheered as Legolas grinned, but his grin did not stay for long.

"Where are your parents?"

Your eyes watered and you found yourself looking away. "I've been searching for them, but I can't find them.... I fear for the worst."

Legolas's eyes filled with sorrow and pity as he wrapped an around you, pulling you in for a tight embrace.

"Rest assured we will find your family. What's your name?"

"______" you responded. "Thank you Legolas."

You began your search once more, and you also brought the food for the survivors. Your heart continued to sink until you thought you saw a familiar face.

"Ma?" You whispered.

And it indeed was your mother. Without second thought you took off running with Legolas following behind you.

"MA!" You yelled as you jumped into her arms.

"Oh _______ I was so worried! How did you find me?"

"This man named Legolas found me." You spoke proudly as your mothers face broke out in shock.

"Annalise?" Legolas asked quietly.

"Legolas?" She asked while standing up.

"You two know eachother??" You asked in disbelief.

"We were friends growing up. How is your husband?" Legolas smiled.

"Yeah where's Da?"

Your mother gave a painful smile as she knelt down to your level.

"Da......didn't make it....He is in a much better place now... in Heaven."

Tears rolled down both of your cheeks as you embraced your mother. Legolas stood with a pained look before he finally spoke

"You May come live with us if you would like.... I know my father would be delighted to see you again."

You perked up at the thought of going to a palace. "Can we? Ma?"

Your mother agreed after Legolas insisted.  Several months later, your mother came in with her beautiful gown trailing behind her with a large grin as she watched you play with the butterflies.

"_____" she called. "I wish to ask you something."

"Yes Ma?" You inquired as you watched your mother who was beaming. "How would you feel.... if Legolas was your Father?"

You grinned wildly happy "REALLY???"

She laughed "Yes we plan to get married next month."

You couldn't help it, you screamed  with joy as you hugged your mother

"I'm going to have a father again!"

And they all lived happily ever after
