You and Legolas had always been the best friends,hopefully more. You were a high guard and he was a prince. You spent much time together and soon Legolas had fallen in love with you. You had too, you had hopefully been discreet about it. One day you saw Legolas packing and asked where he went.

"To destroy the ring of power." He spoke

"I'm coming." You spoke always wanting an adventure.

"No!" He said quickly grabbing your wrist and twirling to face him. "I don't want you to get hurt!"

"Danger is my middle name." You smirked

"Y/N... This is a dangerous quest, and I may not make it out alive."

"So why are you going?"

"I gave my word to help."

"Legolas..." Your voice cracked "please let me come with you!"

"No. Not an option." He stated firmly
