The fellowship had just arrived in Lorien and you begin to feel more at home. You had visited before once or twice, perhaps it was the thought of being with people of your own kind.

"Welcome to Lorien." A smooth voice spoke as you turned to face your host, and in the process  your breath hitching in your throat at the sight of the blonde elf.

Haldir POV

I had locked eyes with Y/N in the company. She was beautiful. Absolutely stunning since the last time I saw her. We had been friends, and she had visited here a couple times, and I went to her realm several times.

Legolas cleared his throat awkwardly as I snapped out of my gaze.

"Yes well Lady Galadriel wishes to see you all." I spoke quickly as I turned and led the way into our kingdom.

After everyone had eaten and washed up, I went looking for Y/N when someone touched my shoulder.

"Looking for my sister?" Legolas grinned. As I tried to look away. "When are you going to ask her to be your consort? You know I approve."

"I'm.... just..... what do-"

"Oh look! There she is right now!" Legolas spoke loudly as he shoved me towards her and running away like a child.

I stumbled forward as I heard her gasp and tried to not land so hard on her.

"Apologizes my lady." I breathed awkwardly as I helped her up as best I could without blushing.

"Haldir, you don't have to call me that." She giggled "Was there something you wanted?"

"Actually yes." I spoke. It's all or nothing. "I..... I was wondering if...."

"If?" She asked

"If you will be my consort?" I said barely above a whisper.

I felt arms wrap around me tightly as I hugged her closely and sighing with relief.

"Of course! I'd been hoping you'd ask." She breathed.

The next few days were pure bliss for both of them. Finally it was time for the fellowship to carry on.

"Please don't go." I spoke quietly as tears welled in her eyes.

"I have to, I gave my word. If there is some good in this world that I can fight for, I have to try. "

"But you could die-"

She put a hand to my cheek. "Lady Galadriel has told me we shall see each other again, very soon."

I hugged her tightly as she wiped her tears before leaving.

Battle of Helms Deep.

Y/N POV

your heart rejoices when you saw Haldir, but didn't come close, knowing you would be forced to stay inside. You grabbed your weapons and the battle begun. Soon it was the end of the battle and you had turned into your wolf form.

"HALDIR!" Aragorn screamed as you turned and pounced on the enemy before the sword inches from him could hurt him. Haldir blacked out as Legolas carries him to the infirmary.

A few hours later

Haldir POV

I woke up to see Y/N sleeping in a chair while holding my hand. I quietly sat up, and woke her up in the process.

"How are you feeling?"

"Fine. You wouldn't believe how lucky I was able to survive last night. "

You smirked "what happened?"

"There was this huge wolf! And it saved my life! " I went on, clearly surprised.

She laughed as I looked at her in confusion.

"What's so funny?"

"Your welcome." She smiled as my jaw dropped.

"That was you?"

"Yup." She spoke while leaving the room."

"Hey! I'm not done yet!"
