In you went into the gloom, further and further til you got lost. Inwardly, you cursed as you tried to retrace your steps, until you heard muffling noises.

"Legolas?"  You spoke "is that you?"

The muffling happened again as you went forward into the spiders trap. There Legolas hung upside down as the spiders slowly came down. Quickly, you cut him free and began to fight back to Back until there was one spider remaining.

The spider lifted its leg and swiped at Legolas causing you to jump and kill the spider where it was inches away from devouring the prince.

"Thank you. Captain." He responds "I appreciate it."

"Are you hurt, injured? Bitten?-"

"I'm fine Y/N." He grinned "and please call me Legolas."

You nodded as you mounted a horse that was by the stream "shall we get going my lord- legolas?"

"Let's."

Thranduil sighed with relief as you walked in with the prince with not a scratch on his head.

"I knew you wouldn't fail me." He spoke with pride "well done, your king is pleased."

And from that, a beautiful relationship developed from that encounter.
