Imagine Elrond wanting you as more than assistant in rivendell this is a bit sad and emotional so I hope it's what you want

Everybody knew that Elrond was head over heels for you. You on the other hand refused to believe it. You had come from a bad past, unwanted unloved. Etc. you were lucky to be in this position where you had a place to stay and food to eat.

"Lindir what do you suppose I' do?" Elrond rubbed his face

"Tell her how you feel. Give her chocolate!" He spoke as he laughed

"Why is she so cautious? So afraid?" He asked Lindir

"She's had a bad past and doesn't trust people easily."

"But-but- I love her!" Elrond said exasperated

"So go tell her!" Lindir spoke the answer as Elrond went to find his beloved , you.

"Y/n!" He called as you turned nervously.

He panted as he handed you a flower. "For you."

You were shocked, no one had been so kind in years.

"T-thank you. "You stuttered.

"So....I was wondering if you wanted to I'm court me?"

"O-oh I dunno. I-I "

Elrond grabbed your hands "what are you afraid of?" You looked down tears brimming.

"Well um... It's just I don't have the greatest times with men.."

"Y/N... I couldn't hurt you... Your smart talented beautiful. And your worth more than all of mithril combined. I'm so in love with you it's crazy. Please. Give me a chance to show you that the world isn't as cruel as you think."

Tears streamed down your face as you kissed him passionately. You'd never felt so much love and knew Elrond was the one.

8 months later

Elrond and you had grown closer every day and were unseperable. Finally he was ready to pop the question.

"Y/N will you marry me?"
