Lot Forest.

The maknae's were nervous.

They'd spent the entire day discussing asking permission from their hyungs if the three of them could go on a camping trip together for a few days. They put together an entire PowerPoint presentation about how they can be trusted to go alone just incase they needed to defend themselves if told no.

At dinner that night, the three of them kept anxiously looking at eachother wondering who would actually ask.

"Alright," Hobi grabbed their attention, "You three have been acting suspicious all day." Hobi narrowed his eyes as he looked between the three youngest, "What did you break this time?"

Jimin chuckled, "No, no. It's not that. It's just that....Taehyung has a question!" Jimin moved the attention to his best friend. Taehyung took a deep breath.

"Well? Out with it," Yoongi said as he sipped his drink.

"Hyungs....so..me and Jimin and Jungkookie..we had an idea," Taehyung started. Namjoon sat up in his chair, "This should be good," he chuckled.

"We would like to go camping." Taehyung said it quickly so he could just get it out there. He didn't know why he felt so nervous asking. It's not like his hyungs were scary or anything.

"Where, and when?" Jin asked.

"There's campsites in Lot Forest we were looking at, and I don't know, maybe this weekend?" Taehyung said.

"I think I'm busy this weekend," Hobi said.

Jungkook straightened up, "Actually, hyungs, were going to ask if just the three of us could go alone. Me, Jimin hyung, and Taehyungie."

Their hyungs went silent for a moment unsure of how to answer. Finally, Hobi spoke up. "I don't know about all that. Lot Forest is far away, and no offense to any of you, but you three aren't exactly the most responsible. Especially when together."

"Hear us out, hyung!" Taehyung pulled out his phone and started presenting the slideshow the three had made. Yoongi couldn't stop laughing at the fact the three had actually taken the time to make one. They let the three make their little presentation. They talked about how they'd be responsible, how they'll bring all the necessary equipment, how they'll take care of eachother, etc.

Once they were done with their little presentation, they stared at their hyungs with puppy dog eyes.

"Fine," Jin said. The three youngest cheered and hugged eachother. Hobi continued to express his worries but Jin said the least they can do as hyungs is let them attempt to be independent for once.

"So, Lot Forest, huh?" Yoongi said. He sat there smiling silently to himself.

"What? Why are you smiling?" Jungkook asked.

"Oh no reason," Yoongi chuckled. Jungkook grabbed his arm and pleaded, "What is it hyung?!"

"It's just that, you know that place is super haunted right? People who camp there say they get injuries, hear screaming at night, their stuff goes missing."

Hobi's eyes went wide, "That's it, they can't go."

The three youngest looked at Yoongi nervously. "You're just messing with us," Jimin stated. Yoongi shrugged, "Just something I heard. I'm sure it's nothing," Yoongi smiled to himself again. He'd heard the place was haunted, he didn't actually believe in any of that, but still thought it'd be hilarious to freak his maknae's out for the hell of it.

"I'm sure it'll be fine," Namjoon said.

Jimin turned to Hobi, "If you don't want us to go camping at Lot Forest, the next best place I can think of is your moms house."

All of the members burst into laughter as Hobi got up and ran at Jimin to smack him. Jimin ran away giggling with Hobi chasing after him. "Brat! You brat! Aish!"

Taehyung turned to Jin, "So in all seriousness, we can go?"Jin nodded. Taehyung and Jungkook jumped to their feet and hugged their oldest hyung while thanking him.

The weekend of camping came around and the older members helped the three pack up. Hobi had bought extra supplies they might need, like food, blankets, and a first aid kit. Everyone hugged eachother and Yoongi reminded them to turn their locations on in their phones just to be safe.

Jimin offered to drive there, it was about 2 hours away in the mountains. They stopped to grab lunch at a burger place and enjoyed the car ride. It was supposed to be beautiful weather all weekend so they were excited. They played some road trip games and sang with eachother in the car. To get to their camping location they had to drive up some dirt roads in the mountains, and when they got there the view was gorgeous.

"Wow!" they all said in unison. They could see the horizon and the trees scattering the mountains. They were pretty high up. They immediately got to unpacking stuff out of the car. They had brought the tent that Yoongi had bought for the group. It could sleep 8 people, so it took all three of them to set it up. They struggled a bit with it when they couldn't get poles through certain loops to anchor the tent to the ground. Jimin lifted a pole and accidentally smacked Jungkook right in the eye with it.

"Ow!" Jungkook screamed as he bent down and clutched his face in his hands. Jimin immediately dropped down to the ground with him and hugged him. "I'm sorry! I am so sorry, Jungkook-ah! Are you okay?" Jimin started kissing Jungkook's face.

Thankfully Jungkook was able to blink the pain away. "Yeah, yeah fine."

"We're off to a great start," Taehyung said. He walked over to Jungkook and saw the little bruise that was now near his eye and he kissed it. "If Jiminie bothers you, you just tell your hyung and I will take care of him!" Taehyung looked at Jimin and the two laughed as Jimin rolled his eyes and smiled.

They finished setting up camp and relaxed. Jungkook called Jin to let him know they made it there safely and were all set up. Jin told them to have fun and remember to update them.

They spent some time exploring around the campsite and just hanging out. They were exhausted from the days set up so decided to call it a night not too long after it had gotten dark. Although the tent was big enough to sleep 8 people, the three of them found themselves curled up practically on top of eachother. They couldn't help but notice how it had gotten quite freezing out.

"I didn't know it was supposed to get this cold," Taehyung said as he was wrapped around Jungkook for warmth. Jimin was on the other side of Jungkook, also wrapped around the youngest for warmth.

"Me either," Jimin agreed, "Maybe the weather guy was wrong. Again."

The three laughed.

Thankfully despite the cold, they were able to get to sleep pretty quickly. Until ear piercing screams from deep in the woods woke them all up in a panic. They all shot up trying to catch their breath.

"What the hell is that?!" Jimin cried. They sat for a moment to listen and then heard it again. Jungkook dove for the tent door and started to unzip it, "That sounds like a kid screaming!" Taehyung grabbed his shirt and pulled him backwards, "Are you crazy?! You can't go out there! It's pitch black out and we don't know what that is!"

"Hyung! Someone needs help!" Jungkook said as he tried making his way back out. He was a brave soul and was always willing to help someone if they needed it.

This time Jimin grabbed him and pulled him backwards, "That's not a kid, it's a damn animal! You are not going out there!"

"But hyung we have to check!"

Taehyung and Jimin both grabbed Jungkook and pinned him to the ground so he couldn't escape. "You can't check when it's an animal that will probably kill you! An animal that sounds like that?! That will probably kill you!" Jimin said frantically. He needed Jungkook to understand that he couldn't leave. "Just stay inside the tent, maknae!"

"Fine!" Jungkook cried. They huddled together as they continued to hear the screaming. Taehyung started crying because he got scared that some murderous animal really was out there, so Jimin pulled him into a tight hug. Jimin realized that technically he was the hyung on this trip so he had to be protective and take charge.

"Are we even safe in here?" Jungkook asked with worry.

"Safer than out there," Jimin replied. They desperately wished for the screaming to stop and finally it did. They relaxed a little bit and Taehyung finally stopped crying. Jungkook turned and wiped his hyungs tears from his cheeks, "Hey, it's okay Taehyungie. We wouldn't let anything hurt you."

Jimin smiled, he was so grateful to have Jungkook in his life because Jungkook was a hell of a lot braver than him.

They fell back asleep and were hesitant to step out of the tent the next morning. They listened from inside to make sure no animals were around and when the coast seemed clear they stepped out and looked around confused.

"Is it just me, or does something seem off?" Jungkook asked.

"I...it does...but I don't know why," Taehyung replied. None of them could pinpoint why the campsite felt off, it just did. The scenery looked different, like they had changed locations. Or maybe the tent had spun while sleeping? But that didn't make sense. Maybe the car had moved? That didn't make sense to them either. Things weren't where they remembered placing them.

"Aish, we were tired yesterday maybe we were just a bit out of it," Jimin mentioned. That was the only solution he could come up with. He pulled his phone out to call Namjoon to give a small update but his phone didn't have service. When they checked, none of their phones did .

"Well what the hell, we had service yesterday!" Taehyung frowned. They all sighed in frustration at their phones not working.

"Let's just try to enjoy our time here, okay? It's not like it's a long trip, we leave tomorrow," Jungkook said.

"I just don't want hyungs to get mad if we don't check in. We told them we could be responsible and part of the agreement was we had to check in," Jimin frowned. He didn't want to disappoint his hyungs. He really wanted to show them how he could be a really good and responsible hyung too.

"I'm sure they'll understand when we get home and tell them our phones weren't working," Jungkook said. He patted Jimin on the back reassuringly. Jimin sighed, "I guess." Jimin glimpsed the little bruise under Jungkook's eye. Aish, real responsible of you, Jimin.

While starting to make breakfast, they realized they were missing a ton of food.

"Did we really forget to pack everything?" Jimin asked confused, "I could have sworn there was way more than this. No way we ate it all already?"

Taehyung scowled at the almost empty trunk. "All of the stuff Jin packed to eat is missing. I bet it was a person screaming last night, and they stole half our stuff! That asshole!" They both turned to Jungkook who was staring off in the distance into the woods with a look of worry. He was anxiously fidgeting with his shirt sleeves.

"What is it, Kook?" Taehyung asked.

The youngest bit his bottom lip, "If it was a person and they're thieves, maybe we should go home?" Jungkook's anxiety had really picked up since that screaming last night. He felt on edge, like he was constantly being watched and someone was messing with them. "I'm getting kind of scared," he admitted.

Taehyung and Jimin admitted that what happened last night had scared them as well. "But it's alright. I mean if it was thieves, they're gone now. They would have taken everything they wanted," Jimin said as he made his way to his maknae and rubbed his back.

They all decided to stick it out for their last day. Jimin offered to go gather some firewood for their fire, but he dropped the entire bundle from his hands when he thought he saw a person standing behind a tree. "Hello?" he yelled out. He started backing away back towards the campsite, still staring. A figure moved from behind the tree to behind another.

"Ah! Taehyungie! Jungkookie!" Jimin screamed as he ran back towards the campsite. He was crying tears of panic because he couldn't make sense of what he saw. It was shaped like a person but at the same time he knew it wasn't a person. He tried to catch his breath as he ran but couldn't. "Tae! Kook!" he screamed through tears. He dared to look behind him again but before he turned his head all the way he tripped over a branch and went flying to the ground, scraping up his arm and his ribs. "Ow!" he screamed. "Ahh! Help!" Jimin cried in a panic as he curled up and clutched his ribs and arm. They were both bleeding.

"Jimin-ah!?" Taehyung screamed and came running for his best friend. Jungkook was right behind him. "Jimin-ah are you okay?! What happened?!" Taehyung asked with panic. Jimin frantically reached for him and stood back up and told them they had to run. Taehyung and Jungkook held onto him as they ran back to the campsite and Jimin immdeiately dove inside he tent. Taehyung grabbed the first aid kit and imemdiately started tending to Jimins wounds.

Jimin was laying there hyperventilating and crying. Jungkook put his hand to Jimin's chest, "Hey, hyungie breathe. Breathe. What happened? How'd you get hurt? You're okay. Take deep breaths, hyungie." Jungkook had tears welling up in his own eyes. He hated seeing his hyung hurt.

"There...there..was.." Jimin still couldn't catch his breath, "A person...or..no..not a person..something! Something was in the woods!" Jimin screamed and threw his head back in pain when Taehyung was wiping his cuts with alcohol wipes. He quickly bandaged him up. He was incredibly grateful for Hobi packing the first aid kit.

"Something in the woods?" Jungkook tilted his head curiously. Jimin couldn't answer again because he couldn't stop crying, he was terrified. He covered his eyes with his hands, "I want to go home. Please. Can we just go home please?"

Taehyung and Jungkook saw how upset Jimin was and agreed that they could leave early. Taehyung ran his hand through Jimin's hair, "Okay. I don't mind. If that's what you want."

The screaming started again.

"No, no no, it's coming! It's coming!" Jimin screamed and grabbed onto his two brothers. They all huddled together in a panic.

"In the middle of the day?!" Jungkook screamed. Suddenly an instant thunderstorm started. There was no time to even think before torrential downpours came and it was continuously thundering and lightning out. It had gotten so windy that the top of the tent kept caving in.

"What do we do now?!" Jungkook also started crying when he realized he also greatly wanted to go home too. It'd only been a day and this entire trip so far was nothing but stressful and scary. He wanted to go be cuddled up with his hyungs on the couch or in their bed instead. He also already really missed the others.

Jimin didn't answer him because he was curled up in a ball crying. Suddenly Taehyung dropped into a ball on the ground clutching his stomach and screaming.

"What's wrong?!" Jungkook cried. Jimin turned to him to make sure he was okay, even through his own suffering. Jungkook pried Taehyung's hand away from his stomach and his stomach was bleeding. There were, what looked like claw marks, dug into Taehyung's skin and they were bruised and bleeding.

"Ah! Ow! Ow!" Taehyung screamed.

"Taehyung-ah!? Did you fall?! How did that happen?!" Jimin screamed.

"I-I don't know. It just happened! Ahh! Ow!" Taehyung cried and clutched his stomach again. Jungkook grabbed the first aid kit and now was helping Taehyung's stomach stop bleeding.

Taehyung didn't understand. He was just fine and then suddenly he felt a burning sensation on his stomach that hurt so bad he couldn't help but cry. He didn't know how he got bruised and bleeding gashes. He hadn't fallen, he hadn't been attacked by anything.

"It hurts, it hurts," Taehyung whimpered as Jungkook tried to bandage him up. Jungkook couldn't control his tears. Now both his hyungs were hurt and nothing was making sense. He lay down between his two hyungs and they cuddled up together trying to ignore the terrible storm.

"The car...we need to get to the car.." Jimin said.

"But you're both too hurt, the weather is bad and the car is too far for you to walk," Jungkook frowned. He knew they'd be a lot safer in the car but he felt like it would really put his hyungs at risk if they tried to get to it right now. "Let's wait for the rain to die down a bit, okay?" He turned and kissed Jimin's forehead, and then Taehyungs.

"I miss hyungs," Taehyung pouted. He could not wait to go home. He didn't care to go camping ever again after this. At least not without everyone. Jimin was lost in thought as he tried to make sense of what he saw in the woods. He sat up.

"What if Yoongi hyung was right. This place is haunted," Jimin said. The others didn't disagree with him and that made their fear a lot worse. They much rather deal with an animal or living person than something that was already dead.

"Can we please not talk about that?" Jungkook whined. "Let's just...rest and wait for the rain to stop and then head home."

The rain wasn't stopping and they were getting impatient. It was getting dark out now and they were at this point mentally just ready to run to the car. So they did.

"Hold hands," Jungkook insisted, "Don't bother bringing anything. Let's just get out of here and we can come back and grab everything when the weather lets up." His two hyungs nodded and they made a run for it. Jimin and Taehyung kept stumbling and falling into the mud because of their injuries and Jungkook would instantly grab them and hoist them to their feet. They made it to the car and Jungkook was the least injured so offered to drive.

Jungkook turned to his hyungs with tears streaming down his face. "The car won't start."

"Bullshit the car won't start ! Don't mess with us like that right now!" Taehyung screamed.

"You think I'm lying?! Then you drive it!" Jungkook screamed back.

"It really isn't starting?!" Jimin screamed. Jungkook kept trying, but got nothing. He punched the steering wheel and threw his arms up in frustration, "Work, damnit!"

"We're going to die here," Taehyung cried. Jimin turned to Taehyung, "No we aren't!" he yelled.

"What the hell do we do?!" Taehyung asked. A giant boom of thunder sent all three of them ducking in reflex. Jimin and Jungkook both crawled into the back seat with Taehyung. For now, none of them knew what to do and were too scared to think straight anyway. The best they had was to just make it through the night at this point. They huddled together crying about how they all wanted to go home. All three of them gave eachother reassuring forehead kisses that they'd make it out of this okay in the end.

When they heard the screaming starting again, they crawled into the trunk and covered themselves up with blankets to try and hide from whatever the hell was out there. They held eachother tightly and tried to take deep breaths to stay calm, although that was nearly impossible. They started telling eachother how much they all loved eachother if anything bad happened, and that made their anxiety even worse. They don't know how much time passed, but at some point they fell asleep because of their exhaustion. They were all startled awake by banging on the outside of the car. They huddled up under the blankets again.

"Guys?! Guys open the door!"

The three of them shot up from under the blankets. "Namjoonie!?" Jungkook screamed. They frantically opened the trunk and almost fell out. They started crying and hugging their hyungs.

"What the hell happened?" Jin asked as he took Jungkook's face in his hands and inspected the bruise on his eye. He realized Jimin and Taehyung also had injuries.

"Oh hyungie! We want to go home!" Jungkook cried to Jin without answering him.

"How did you all get hurt?" Hobi asked with worry. The three youngest went on and on about their terrible experience and about how there was something after them the whole time. Yoongi wondered if maybe the stuff he heard about the forest was something to believe in.

"How did you find us? I mean how did you get here?" Jimin asked as he had a death grip around Hobi.

"Nobody checked in this morning and we couldn't just sit with our anxiety, so we drove here," Yoongi informed them.

"Two hours just to check on us?" Taehyung asked.

"We'd cross the entire world just to check on you," Hobi told him as he pulled Taehyung into a hug too.

"Well no need to ever check on us again because I'm never doing anything without you guys , ever!" Jimin cried. Taehyung and Jungkook agreed. Yoongi checked over everyone's injuries and said at least they did a good job in tending to them. He felt bad that their trip sucked, but he was happy they were for the most part okay.

Jimin apologized for not checking in, he said their phones stopped working. And to add to it, he informed them that the car they took didn't work either. Jin hopped into the car to see for himself but to the maknae's shock, it worked perfectly fine.

"It didn't work last night! We tried everything!" Jungkook said in defense.

"Well it works now," Jin said. The three youngest said they weren't willing to drive it again so Jin offered to drive it home while Yoongi drove the other car. They helped gather everything back up into the car and the three youngest couldn't be more than happy to finally be able to relax and go home. Hobi said when they got home they'd have to wash their cuts and bruises again just to be safe. They thanked him over and over for the first aid kit.

After the two hour drive, they were finally home. The hyungs offered to unpack the car while the three youngest relaxed.

"So," Namjoon started, "I'm sure you're all looking forward to your next camping trip, yeah?" he chuckled. Jimin threw the couch pillow at him.

"I'm never doing anything without everyone ever again," Taehyung said.

"Me either," Jimin agreed.

"We were all alone without hyungies, and we hated it," Jungkook informed them. The older members smiled. It felt good to be needed by the youngest ones.

Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook curled up on the couch trying to make sense of their trip. They really didn't understand how so much could go wrong so quickly, but they agreed that they weren't going to feel adventurous like that again for quite some time. Jimin was still freaked out by whatever it was he saw in the woods but he was just glad to be home and far away.

The maknae's realized that when it really came down to it, they only ever really felt safe when it was the seven of them together. So they were better off just keeping it that way.

[The End]
