"Ugh I can't breathe in this thing." 

I was currently in my room getting dressed for the ball. Let's just say I'm not enjoying it! 

"Stop whining it isn't that bad." Libby said from behind me zipping my dress shut. I haven't seen her yet because when she came in my room I was too busy trying to get this dress on. 

It was a dark red one. That's all I have seen because I hadn't looked in the mirror yet. 

"Okay done." 

I let out a deep breath before turning around to face Libby. My mouth widen when I saw her. She looked absolutely beautiful. 

"What? Is something wrong?" 

I shook my head. 

"No nothing's wrong. You just look really beautiful." 

She look down at her light long pink dress. It was absolutely beautiful. You could see her perfect body in it and when she moved the long dress moved with her making her look like a princess. 

"If you think I'm beautiful you should look at yourself." 

I turn around and gasp when I saw myself or I think it was me. I didn't look myself with this dress on. The dark red fabric, draped along my skin, only to see someone standing there in a celestial like dress coming out of a fantasy. 

The soft fabric graced my feminine body and the black lacing at top sat across my chest. I felt like a princess in this gown, for the first time ever I felt like a princess. 

Libby cam standing next to me grabbing my hand. 

"I think you will survive this night." 

I le tout a chuckle looking at her. 

"I will because of you and Connor." 

She smile before walking away. 

"There's something missing with that dress." 

I watch her in the mirror while she walked to my bed were a box was standing. I haven't seen it before. 

"You're grandmother gave it to me when I was walking to your room. She said that it would fit the dress really well." 

She took the object out, but I couldn't see what it was. She walk back to me with a small smile before taking the object to my head.

A small crown was place on my head finishing my whole look. 

"There now you look like a real princess." 

I turn to Libby pulling her in a hug. 

"Thank you." 

I feel her hugging me tighter. 

"You're welcome." 

I smile pulling away when there was a knock on my door. 

"Come in!" 

The door open and Connor came in. He was too busy fixing his tie that he didn't even look at us. 

"Can one of you help me with this. I can't seem to-" He stopped with talking when he finally looked up. 

"Wow." He breath out. 

Libby looked at me with a smirk. 

"Told you." 

I rolled my eyes at her shaking my head. 

"You two look..... just wow." 

I chuckle at his reaction. 

Libby walked to her older brother fixing his tie. 

"There all done." 

He thanked her before turning towards me again. "Have you already seen how much people there are?" 

I shook my head no letting out a sigh. "No and I really don't want to find out. I will get nervous and stuff." 

It's true. I don't want to go out there. I don't want them to look at me and stare. I will freak out. 

"I think it's time to go downstairs." Libby said making my stomach turn. 

"Do I have to go?" 

Connor chuckle while Libby grabbed my wrist dragging me to the door. 

"You'll be fine." 

I shook my head making Connor Laugh. 

"I don't see why you're scared Hazel." 

We exited my room and began to walk to the stairs. 

"Because it's scary." 

He shook his head still laugh a little. "You have fought monsters and two of the most evilest nimfen alive and you're scared of a party?" 

I bite my lip nodding my head. "I can fight, but I can't go and act all princess like in front of people. I will do something stupid like trip and fall." 

We walk down the stairs and I could already hear the music. 

Ugh I hate this. 

"You'll be fine again we will stay by your side the whole night if we have to." Libby said finally letting go of my wrist. 

I relax a little know that they wouldn't leave me. 

"Hazel?" 

I turn around and to my surprise saw Lina. 

She was wearing a dark green dress that was very beautiful on her. 

It was stretched so tight across her chest that you could see every ripple, every crease in the dark green dress. 

As she walked towards me the different layers fluttered slightly, smoothing out her flawless body. 

"Lina? What are you doing here?" 

"I was invited by your grandmother, just like Alaric and Logan." 

I stop breathing when I heard Logan's name. 

He's here? 

God no. 

I thought this night wouldn't get worse. 

"Are you okay? You look like you're going to faint." 

Oh I'm going to faint. 

I clear my throat nodding my head. 

"Yeah I'm fine. I'm just a little nervous about this thing." 

She laugh a little shaking her head. 

"You're going to be fine Hazel. You have survive a lot of things, so this will be easy." 

Why is everybody keep saying that?! 

Yes I have survive those things, but still. I can't believe Logan's here. My grandmother knew what happen between us and still she invited him. I guess it's normal that Alaric came. He's like the head of Meadow I guess. 

I have never seen someone else as the head or nobody told me about it. 

But why Lina and Logan? I really need to talk to my grandmother about this, but I guess that isn't an option because she's already at the party. 

Great so now I have to be worry about not embarrassing myself and I have to avoid Logan. This night can't get any more worse. 

"Yeah well a ball is something completely different." 

I mean every head of the lands will be here, including important people of every land. I have to be worry about other people wanting to take the throne if I don't act right. I don't want to disappoint any one. 

"There's more to the story. What's wrong Hazel?" 

Lina looked at me not taking her eyes off of me. 

I close my eyes letting out a sigh. 

"My grandma told me that people want to take the throne. They don't know that I can't be the next queen, so now I have to show myself here and let them know I'm okay. If they find out I can't become queen they will take over the throne and I have no idea what will happen if they do." 

The three of them were silent for a little. 

"So yes I'm very nervous, because I can fail at this." I spoke up after a while of them not saying anything. 

Libby cleared her throat before saying something. "Don't worry Hazel we will make sure that everything will be okay." 

I gave her a small smile thanking her. 

"Beside you're sweet, caring and a hero. Who wouldn't like you?" Connor added. 

I can name five people who don't like me and who wants me dead. 

"Come on. You won't make a good impression if you will be late on your own ball." Lina said. 

I let out a sigh before making my way to the two big doors. Behind it I could hear the music and people talking. 

"Can I still run away?" 

I whisper to Connor making sure that Libby and Lina wouldn't hear me in front of us. 

He chuckle shaking his head. 

"I'm sorry princess, but you need to go." I slap his shoulder glaring at him. 

"Don't call me that." 

He laugh patting my back lightly. 

"You'll be fine Hazel." 

The two doors in front of us open and I took one last deep breath before walking inside.  

Authors note: I normally update this book only on fridays, but because of the new image thing on wattpad I need you guys help. So this chapter is sort of a test. Do you guys like the more gifs chapter like this one or my normally chapters, where I would put one gif above and that's it? I don't know if I like the new thing and if I'm gonna keep using or if I'm gonna stick with just one gif at the top of the chapter. For now I think I'm gonna stick with the one at the top, but there is a chance that I'm gonna use the new thing. Leave a comment behind what you guys think, because I have no clue.
