Update & Apology

Hello dear readers and/or Ifrits. It's been a while ... far too long in fact and I'm here to explain why.

Back in early February I caught a rather nasty dose of the flu. Now, the flu is bad enough for most people, but when you suffer from fibromyalgia and M.E. like I do, it's an absolute nightmare! It took weeks to shake off the bug, but the after effects are taking much longer to get over - in particular the fatigue and fibrofog.

Don't know what that is? Let me enlighten you: fibrofog is one of many things that fibromyalgia sufferers battle with. Descriptions include 'my brain feels like it's wrapped in cotton wool', 'I feel like I have part-time altzheimers' and 'I feel like I've had a full frontal lobotomy'! You know that feeling when you wake up after a really poor night's sleep? When your brain doesn't want to acknowledge the world and you feel like your body's battery is running on low? Multiply that by anything from 100 to 10,000 and you have the varying degrees of fibrofog.

Welcome to my world!

As you can imagine, one of the first things to be affected is the imagination and creative side of the brain - well it is with me. I have struggled to read and keep up with the books that I am following, let alone create my own. On top of that, my laptop seems to be suffering from old age and a dose of fibrofog of it's own. It's taken nearly a week to get this update to work!!

Do not despair though dear reader! I can at last see the twinkly light at the end of the long, dark tunnel. Little connections are sparking within my brain as my creativity seems to be trying to wake up from its coma. I also have a new laptop on order as I think my poor old, purple HP deserves its retirement.

So, hopefully I will be able to resume 'The Lost Treasure' in the near future. I need to re-read all my previous chapters and study my book of notes so that I can get myself back into the swing of it all. A huge THANK YOU to all of you who have sent messages wanting to know when the story will be updated and and even bigger SORRY for keeping you all dangling in the dark (so to speak). Your support for my story has helped in my determination to get past this latest relapse.

Keep your fingers crossed and lookout for update notifications as soon as I can catch up with myself. I've missed you guys.

Right, well it's Wednesday so I have a date with Mr Rikkard Ambrose and the fabulously feisty Lillian Linton. All hail Rob Thier for his weekly dose of fabulous!

Take care Ifrits!
