(This chapter is just for characters to get to know each other and interact, no major plot will occur)

It was the start of September.
The first day of Hogwarts.
Children rushed to school, either by brooms or by portkey.
Some were excited, how can you not be? It was their time to learn magic and learn how to be the best wizard/witch they could be.
Others.., not so much, this was either a dangerous or weird experience for them, be it tension from the previous war or their parentage.
But the Headmistress had reassured the kids and their parents that this year will be safe and very eventful.
Well at least she got one of those right.

After the sorting and the feast, the kids where shown to their common rooms by their prefects , they were given their house robes and shown around their area. Some kids decided to mingle with their housemates, others snuck out to explore the castle, others met up their friends out in the halls.
