Chapter 10

"Daddy!" A small voice wailed. "Where's M-Mummy?"

The bearded man tensed up, a depressing aurora floating around him. He turned his head to the little girl.

"Mummy....Mummy's in a better place...." A husky voice whispered, almost inaudible. "Don't worry....she's happy now..."

The little red haired girl stared at her dad for a moment, not fully understanding what he meant.

"Sh-She didn't come to my birthday Dad.... She never misses my birthday..."

"She's dead....isn't she Dad?"

Rami was squirming around, laughing hard as her sides were being mercilessly poked.

"G-Gold! St-Stop!" She managed to shout through her laughing.

"Why should I~?" Gold asked, stopping momentarily, his finger only just touching her stomach.

"B-Because! I was gonna let you in my fort!" She explained, trying to wiggle away. Lost Silver smirked and started poking her again.

"Not a good enough reason Rami!" He shouted, chuckling slightly.

"N-No!" She screamed in protest, laughing again.

She was almost at the point of tears as Lost Silver showed no signs of stopping. Her ribs were aching, she never laughed this hard in a long time. Not since she was 9.

"P-Please! I'll do anything! Just stop!" She tried begging, her stomach hurting in a good way"

Lost Silver stopped again, staring up at her.

"Anything~?" He asked, a new emotion flashing in his eyes. He smirked as Rami's cheeks were dusted with a faint pink, looking around the room as she was panting slightly.

"Y-Yeah...." She confirmed, finally looking up at Lost Silver.

"Well in that case..." He began, slowly moving his face to Rami's. Rami blushed harder, having an idea of what he was about to do.

By now their foreheads were touching, Lost Silver's surprisingly warm breath hitting Rami's face.

"How about we make this interesting~?"

Rami was staring into his void-like eyes.

"Wh-What do you mean?" She asked, her voice quiet.

"Let's play a game. If you win, you make me do what ever you want. If I win, I get to make you do what ever I want~" he explained, moving his face away from Rami's.

"Okay...." She said, a small smile forming on her face, "What game are we playing?"

"Just a quick game of hide and seek. If I find you within 10 minutes, I win. If I don't, you win"

"Sounds easy enough...Can I get up now?" She said as she tried pulling her arms back down to her sides, obviously failing.

"Oh! Sorry.." He responded, letting go of Rami's arms. He got up off of Rami and held out a hand to help pull her up. She accepted and was pulled up off of the bed.

"You have 30 seconds! Quick! Go hide!" He alerted, shoeing her away before starting the countdown.

Rami scurried off, finding somewhere to hide. She didn't want it to be obvious but at the same time not too hard. She was in the hallway, unaware of how much time she spent trying to find somewhere to hide.

"Ready or not! Here I come!" Lost Silver shouted.

Rami gasped and quickly opened the door beside her, entering it and closing the door behind her. The room was small, the size of a closet. She sighed quietly but soon held her breath as a pair of footsteps came running down the hallway.

"Rami~" Lost Silver cooed, stopping just in front of the closet. She already knew she was going to lose, so she let out the breath she was holding in as quietly as she could.

Lost Silver did something that she didn't expect. Walk away. Rami squealed in her head as she took back what she said about losing.

A few moments went by, to Rami feeling like hours. She slowly pushed the door open, peeking out. No one.

That's what she thought.

As soon as she walked out, the sound of foot steps came rushing down the hallway. Before Rami could react she was pinned to the wall.

"Found you Rami~"
