After partying there for a day, they return back to their ship, The Master of the fleet goes them as Ronan looked to him with curiosity as he feels he have something to say of importance

"Lord Commander our Chief Astropath have receive a message" Said Their Master of the Fleet as he have gone back earlier to oversee their fortress and the fleet along with the Shipmaster

"What message brother?" Said Ronan

:Its a message from Terra itself, more spefically from Trajann Valoris current Captain-General of the Adeptus Custodes, the message says you are been summon to Terra"

There was a silent for that a message from the Captain-General is far bigger deal than the mortals who calls themselves High Lords of Terra

Sword of Ultramar

A Gloriana Class battleship 2nd in the Ultramarine's fleet, and Ronan's flagship since he become a Chapter Master during the Great Crusade and since then his base of operation during the Great Scouring few months at most before he was gifted the Star fort Will of Ultramar

This is 16 KM long ship and have scored many victories during the Great Crusade to Great Scouring and thousands of enemy ships of Xenos and Traitors have been destroyed

(I know this is Ark Mechanicus but they have an official model in Battlefleet Gothic)

This ship is known to at least capable of carrying 2 Strike Cruisers under it as heavy escorts even then this ship is heavily armed and armored as well as advance ship

When not going on full force or perhaps diversion Ronan would use this ship and would mostly lend it to his Master of the Fleet or the 1st Captain in the Chapter before he reorganize the Chapter

Ronan was a bit worried, since anything a Custodes especially their Captain-General can mean their doom if he is not careful enough of what he would say, he can fight anyone even against inquisitor if he have to, but a Custodes is entirely different matter. he have spar with some of them before and have won some of them but mostly defeat when fighting against more skilled ones, hell he even spar against Valdor and given some advice from the Chief Custodes and left hand of the Emperor, it is an honor indeed for someone like Valdor to even spar with him and given some pointers and a little bit of training

He is with his 2nd Company  Master with half his marines with them 500 as well as a 100 of his Invicrus Guards led by Commander John

For the past 5 years, their able to gather 4,000 children during their crusade along with the planets under them with all from civilize categories from feral to civilize worlds even Forge World which is a good way to possibly recruit a Tech-Marine as they needed them, luckily one of their civilize worlds under them have a high amount of psykers which can help to increase the number of their psykers which is too bad for them they'll have even harder selection due to the nature of their power

Due to their vast reserves of Gene-seed that it was suppose to send back to their Legion only to be sent here in the future which they can create in the thousands, even then the Chief Apotheracy Markus overseeing their purity as well as to make sure that it's numbers are increase more, and Markus made sure that there is always a gene-seed that they can put it on clones to harvest more

Last year with all the Gene-line of Guilliman offer their Gene-seed and sending a number of their battle-brothers for the new Chapters, with it being 500 or more Chapters create at least 25 new such chapters along with already chosen planets as Chapter Masters and Representatives coordinate such a task which are mostly near to the Realm of ultramar as well as near enough for their brother Chapters can reinforce should be attack, after all they needed to be united as sons of Guilliman with Calgar as the supreme commander of all Chapters of Guilliman's Gene-line and like the Dark Angels they make sure no one would know such coordination and already put in place similar to Last wall protocol

They will plan for the next foundation  when Gene-seeds are ready as well recruits that they would contribute it doesn't need how many only how many they can spare along with wargear and more dealings with Mechanicus and internal Space marines manofactorum that which different Tech-marine chapters have too cooperate to each other when another founding would be activated

Ronan seating on his throne with a sight "Do you think the custodes doubted us brother?" Said Nath

"Hopefully not, their words are law even more so than the inquisition, especially this is the Captain-General that have summon us and we know we can't ignore such orders" Said Ronan as he stood as they are about to exit from the warp,  their chief Navigator have too come with them which hopefully would have to make contract with their house once more here in Terra as they are one of the finest Navigator houses able to steer the ship from the Warp safely despite being no longer from the Ultramarine legion they may still gather some of their best members as part of their fleet and like the Space Wolves they'll offer a number of their brothers as their protectors and commander of their military that which not only they may got Navigators but also possible trade with them to increase their economy and have happy people

"There is also a possiibility they may know of our little Empire building" Said Ronan

"Not that i would be surprise if they know" Said Nath with a shrugged "You already made plans right if things did not get on our way?"

Ronan nod "Yes, the standard procedures of every fleet based and crusading chapter" Said Ronan they already follow the black templar example of recruitment as well as their old ways even civilize world is also one of their recruiting grounds

The ship a little as they exit from the warp and there for the past 10,000 years, Ronan once again arrive in Terra birthplace of humanity

"Terra Birthplace of humanity" Said Ronan as he stood from his throne looking at the Throneworld with a frown "Last time we are here, only the aftermath of the siege" still remembering the corpses of both mortal and marines when they finally arrive at Terra, many of them have wept at such the condition of the Throneworld seeing that they have failed their duty, even though they have manage to have the blood angels to went through to Terra before the two Legions of the Ultmarines and Dark Angels begun to decimate the traitor forces that which would have prevent them having reinforcements and materials that they needed for the sieges

They're they witness the Emperor seating on the Golden Throne for the 1st time in Ronan's life upon seeing the mortally wounded Emperor finally knows fear... a fear for the future of humanity without the Emperor's guidance even though he hated him due to him forcing them to destroy monarchia as well as other peaceful xenos or humans and then it all change into vengeful rage when the Great Scouring was finally commence and with it tens of thousands of traitors Asterdes suffer under Ronan's relentless pursuit against them

Imperial Palace

After arriving to the nearest star port for the Palace, there the Custodes have waited for them and would personally escorted them to the Captain-General

While looking outside of the palace Ronan frown as well as his brothers, the Throne World maybe rebuild but it doesn't feel the glory after it's first completion he saw many statues of heroes of different era and names of those who can be remembered from the highest ranking General to the lowest civilians who have contributed the defense of humanity

One thing he have notice while being escorted the sheer monuments and cathedrals dedicated  to the Worship of the god-Emperor and even the Primarchs that which Sanguinious being the most beloved and he have seen the glass painting of his father holding the Codex as he raise it on his left hand while his right hand wielding his power sword in his feet are demons slain 

He may have adopted the worship of the Emperor in order to gain some alliance but still he doesn't like it and at the same time approve of it's effectiveness against the forces of chaos, since he have fought alongside with the Living Saints and truthfully for him for all intents and purpose the Emperor may have accepted his godhood after hearing tales of the Saints of how they gain such power despite not being a psyker

As they go inside, he stare at the endless amount of ships going in and leave in Terra that which makes it even more grim as it appears that Terra could no longer sustain itself other than outside help "if only they can move out the populace and colonize to other newly discovered planets, it would lessen the burden of feeding this people" though of Ronan, no doubt he already feel that there would be several food riots in the planet and could not help but feel worried since last time he check there is literally a quadrillion people living in this planet alone and he wish it to be reduce

Many of the serfs, nobles and military along with few inquisition as well as several Imperial fist space marine are also there watching in confusion, intrigue, interest and curious as they saw this space marines being escorted by the Custodians despite being Ronan tower them all

he gives a Salute to the Imperial Fist while maintaining his movement, the Imperial Fist salute him in return with a nod of his head as a good luck

They are near to the Chief Custodes office outside of it there's a pair of custodes guarding the golden door along with sentry guns manned by the servitors

"Only your commander should go alone" Said the Custodian warden with their castellan axes blocking their way

Ronan nod to his brothers, before as well surrendering his weapons to his brothers before the Wardens let him pass as they open the door for him as he entered leaving him alone with the Chief Custodes

There he saw the Chief Custodes looking at the window overseeing the Palace, he is large even by Custodes standard of 11 ft tall likely added with his magnificent auromite power armor though Valdor is taller up to 12 ft tall and even Ronan was intimidated at Valdor's mere presence alone as Valdor is Duty incarnate

"Lord Commander Ronan Belleza i presumed?" Said the Chief Custodes Trajann Valoris

Ronan bow to him in respect to his position and seniority "Yes my lord, is there a reason why i was summoned here by the Captain-General of the custodes?" Said Ronan

Trajan Valoris turn to him, he has none of the arrogance that Ronan encountered during the Crusade Era, well not all of them but still there is some Custodes he wanted to punch because of their arrogant prick not to dissimilar with the Eldar arrogance

"No" Said Trajann

Ronan's eyes blinked at that looking at the Chief Custodes was joking last time he check there's none of the Custodes that knows how to joke they're blunt as shit to the point some of them can compete with Dorn's bluntness

"Pardon?" Said Ronan

"it is not i who summon you here... but the Emperor himself" Said Trajann

Ronan looked at that in surprise "The Emperor?" Said Ronan

"Yes... my brothers told me everything i needed to know, you don't even need for confirmation" Said Trajann as he stood before his desk looking at Ronan as he looked Ronan directly in the eyes

"You are quite lucky for that one, his orders you will keep your little Empire even without crusading which you can replinsh your numbers when the time comes that you receive such heavy loses" Said Trajann having some of his brothers of the eyes of the Emperor bring back a word to him about their activities that which he won't find anything treason, from what he knows from his ancient brothers now in Dreadnaughts and records Ronan is one of the best Space marine commanders to live and one of the best fighters capable of defeating sigismund in single combat in his prime and have high score of traitor deaths that which a reason why he is so feared

"I..." Ronan could not form a word that even Emperor have granted him such freedom that none of the other chapter have

Ronan looked shock at that "My lord isn't that too much?" Said Ronan a bit of worried due to this kind of gifts that he granted as well as how it would affect to other space marines not to mention there might be a catch, and he knows the Aqullion is quite even more durable than their most durable Terminator armor and have none of it's drawbacks being faster and stronger, hell he already have solorite gountlet that which are also of Custodes origin gifted to him by the Emperor

"And adding with Adratic weapon and Lastrum Storm Bolter" of course he won't gonna him the master crafted ones that are only for the most elite custodes, then again even their most basic wargear are some of the best in the imperium yet still basic in their eyes as they have better weapons and armor reserves to the best amongs their numbers

Ronan blinked again at that, witnessing this devastating weapons first hand and heared stories that entire nations fought for that and was destroyed by the Emperor during the Unification wars as well as the Lastrom Storm Bolter he have seen them in battle heavily armored xenos was rip to pieces even without using it's intended ammo and he have little doubt it as effective against space marine power armor and terminator armor

"Can't say i can refuse can i?" Said Ronan not wanting to really get into their debt even if it's a badge of office

"No" Said Trajann "It will be deliver back to your ship along with your new armor"

"Is there more my Lord?" Said Ronan

"There is, full Shield company of 120 of my brothers as your bodyguards along with the Lucifer Blacks" Said Trajann without missing a bit,,,, and that 120 it din't include the commander and specialist custodes like their own Apothocary, Praetors and Tech-Custodes and Dreadnoughts

Ronan was  taken aback even more so to hear that "MY LORD THAT IS EVEN WORSE THAN THE GIFTS!" Ronan yelled as he have sweating bullets

"They're not likely even trusted me! what kind of a sick joke is this? i though they're not allowed to go outside of Terra!" Though of Ronan as he having sweating bullets

"Emperor's orders and believe i too have such reaction they're your both as bodyguards and executioner in case you turn traitor" Said Trajan "and your Elite reserve force if they of course obey you, you can only request them when you are not in the battlefield"

"I though you and your Brothers aren't allowed to go out? it was sign by Guilliman, Dorn and Valdor" Said Ronan

Trajan gives him a small grin that went shivers to Ronan's spine "Do you really think we would stand idle by and let outside force to threaten terra?" Said Trajann

Ronan gives him a deadpanned look "Tell that that Jorge Vandire and his age of apostosy" though of Ronan giving effort to have the Chief Custodes to know his thoughs

"I can have a request my lord... i want to also start to request children in this world" Said Ronan

"Granted" Said Trajann  "The Imperial fist won't find problem for that, there's vast abundance of worthy recruit you won't have hard to find, their parents would no doubt would gladly send their child to be part of such warriors"

Ronan nod  at that as he salute before he begun to leave

"i'll have the shield captain to meet with you at the star port, you'll meet him there" Said Trajann as the door close

Trajan then looked back at the outside the reason why it was a shield company he sent, it would have faster results of ending the entire chapter along with a possibility of zero deaths to his brothers

Then another reason is, they have exceed of 10,000 and they keep their real numbers a secret and he and he alone knew about their true number and like his predecessor before him and they are doing secret operation behind the imperium's back

Sending the Lucifer Blacks would add operation success and he have overseen their drill affter drill of how to defend the palace even the Imperial Fist does participate sometimes whenever they are in large number in terra, due to vast population in Terra he can have many of it's people to be conscripted and children of not of noble birth or decedent of can be enforce to join the Lucifer Blacks to produce some of the most powerful Imperial Guard Regiments and even there is still some several regiments of Imperial Guards in Terra that is both highly trained and equip except that only the Lucifer Blacks being the most powerful and trusted to defend the Imperial Palace and it would be enough to destroy any rebellion inside terra

Then again there still more civilians which sometimes he have to ordered to have them shipped off to newly discovered planets regardless of their fate, he have already have to deal with idiotic High Lords with only exception few who have brains to prove of their position for the past few thousand years since he become the Captain-General of the Custodes

With the Custodes by Ronan's side it would prove enough to deter some force not to mess with Ronan's authority if he is anything like his father then he may have able to prevent some bloodshed without the need to fire a weapon which he can respect that, from what he heard about Ronan as well he is also an idealistic marine to the point to even argued with the Emperor of all people about to spare the civilians and even some xenos.... not that he can't blame the man, better to spent the resources to the actual threat

"If the Lord Commander of the Imperium wasn't abolish i would have place him then without a 2nd though after said holder is dead" Though of Valoris

"We shall see how much you can make an impact in this era Lord Commander Belleza" Said Trajann as he return to his work

As Ronan exit his brothers looked at him with relief

"Is there some problem brother?" Said Nath

"A little bit" Said Ronan with irritation

"Can you elaborate?" said John

"Well we gonna have a bunch of golden banana boys to be my bodyguard" Said Ronan with a groan

Saying that and understanding of what he meant, they're eyes widen

"You mean a Custodes is going to accompany us and would be your bodyguard!" Said Nath

"Yes, and ordered by the Emperor himself, so even he was not to keen to send it to babysit me" Said Ronan with a sight

"We can't likely even refuse this can we?" Said John as Ronan shook his head "Well that's bad, a bodyguard and executioner what troublesome"

"Troublesome indeed" Said Ronan "And they would be augmented by Lucifer Blacks" he added

"At least it added some powerful force under us" Said Nath "How many Custodes to guard you?" he ask

"A full shield company of 120" Said Ronan

Both of his brothers whistle at that "Damn, that's bad and good" they said both in unision

"And also we've granted the rights to recruit here as well, he din't see the bad of it, we'll build recruiting base should some of our scout brothers should gone here as a permanent ways to find a recruit" Said Ronan, he'll assign scout sergeants to be the recruiter since Terra is far away from their home system  "We'll go to the star port to meet with this Shield Captain and we'll return tomorrow after we have finish our business here"

"Would the Imperial fist will they find a problem for this?" Said Nath

"There's a quadrillion people in Terra i doubt they would care" Said Ronan

When the Knights of Ultramar arrive at the Star port, there they would see an assembled Shield Company of the Custodes along with their servants and tech-priest and at least a few squad of the Lucifer Blacks likely they assembled elsewhere

The Led custodian with Custodian power armor with red Cape approach them, he looked at Ronan up and Down before nodding in approval "My Shield Captain Habrial i led this Shield Company" Said Habrial as he offer his hand to Ronan he accepted it and shake his hand "I've heard about you lord Commander, it's nice to see someone who have seen the glimpse of what humanity can be"

"Likewise Shield-captain Habrial" Said Ronan

Hanrial nod "As you know 120 along with us would be 7 dreadnaughts 2 Venerable comtemtor, 2 Galatus, 2 Achillies and 1 Talamon Dreadnaugh" Said Habrial

"That's a alot of firepower especially Telamon" Said Ronan looking at the knight size dreadnought that towers all the Dreadnoughts

"Yes, and that Talamon knows you" Said Habrial

"He do?" he ask in surprise

"Yes. brother!" he called his brother as the Talamon Dreadnaugh approach them

"Greetings Ronan, my voice may not have be recognizable but i'am a former Custodian name Arthur" Said the now introduce Arthor

"Arthur? you still lived?" Said Ronan in shock, he knows Arthur his a Aquillion Terminator and one of the few who have participate during Unification wars and have fought alongside with them during one of the Crusade's campaign he was at first some arrogant prick only to be humble when Ronan saved his life during Rangdan Xenocide and the two formed friendship to a brotherhood and since then they're quite close

"Yes, during the siege and still manage to fight until it's dead with this body" Said Arthur there is a grim tone he has as well anger of the failure "Make sure you'll have me only against worthy foes, especially traitors and my rage will quench"

Ronan nod 'I promise you that Brother Arthur" Said Ronan

"Beside me here is Blade Champion Richard, he will be your Champion now, he will be the closest to you making sure you are protected" Said Habrial as he gesture to his brother beside him

Ronan nod at that "I'll welcome you to my chapter Custodians, i hope i won't waste you" Said Ronan and hopefully they would be his elite reserve force when the balance was in enemies favor

"Is this everyone?" Said Ronan

"No, we have a 100 thousand of the Lucifer Blacks still boarding their transport, other than that we are ready" Said Habrial

Ronan nod "We'll leave tomorrow and Shield-Captain i would like you to play with me of simulation battle if you are interested" Said Ronan

"Of course Commander" Said Habrial with a grin on his face accepting the challenge

With it, they begun to board to their transport and in tomorrow they will leave with new recruits for the future marines
