You bolted up and you were gasping for air. Your head smashed into an angry looking robot.

"DARLING! YOU'RE AWAKE! MY NAME IS METTATON, Y/N RIGHT? WELCOME BEAUTIES TO THE SHOW! TODAY WE ARE DOING A COOKING SHOW. HERE LET ME HELP YOU UP." Mettaton held his hand out for you. You took his hand and he pulled you up.

~Time Skip~

You were left panting as Mettaton left you saying that the show was on commercial break. You chuckle at yourself and shook your head. You started to run again. 'At least now I can breathe when I run.' You thought. You ran to an elevator and went to the next floor, you rushed through the puzzles and made it to an open room with random objects scattered around the room. A dog, a video game, a basketball, a bottle of water, a movie script, and a present. Music from a BreakingNews TV show started playing, you look around to see Mettaton in a suit.

"GOOD EVENING BEAUTIES AND GENTLEBEAUTIES! THIS IS METTATON, REPORTING LIVE FROM MTT NEWS! AN INTERESTING..." Mettaton's voice faded off as you went over to pet the dog.

"ATTENTION, VIEWERS! OUR CORRESPONDENT HAS FOUND... A DOG! LOOK AT ITS LITTLE EARS, TINY PAWS, FLUFFY TAIL... ... WAIT A SECOND. THAT'S NOT A TAIL! THAT'S... A FUSE!!! THAT'S RIGHT... THAT DOG... IS A BOMB! IN FACT ALL THE ITEMS IN THIS ROOM IS A BOMB!" Mettaton yelled. Your eyes widened and you started to run out of the room. You ran all the way to the elevator and went to the next floor. You looked off the edge of the third floor and watched the bombs below you explode into confetti. You also watched Mettaton push a large circular bomb into the lava. As if Mettaton knew you were watching him he spun around and did a dramatic pose. You noticed there was a large switch on his back. 'The switch!' You thought, you started daydreaming about what the switch does. You giggled and spun around.

You quickly ran off and tried to leave as fast at possible. You took this time to finally look at your surroundings, everything was covered in ash you couldn't see anything but ash. You look disappointed at the fact that that was all this place had for decorations. You continued past the spider lady selling pastries and stuff. The spider lady seemed to be glaring at you. You bought a donut and left. Quickly.

You quickly solved the puzzles that were there and continued through the door. You had to walk through the Spider lady's webbs, which were very sticky. You dragged yourself quickly through to webbs, ignoring whatever the spider lady was saying. You quickly left the room and tried run, but you were to tired so you jogged instead. You jogged past a lion and into a room with gray stone cover with a small amount of ash. You stopped in the room and tried to catch your breath, and you saw Mettaton walking out in a slightly ash covered blues princess gown. Mettaton was singing and twirling in the dress. You start laughing at Mettaton, suddenly a trap door swings open underneath you and you fall. You see tiles that weren't light up. Mettaton tries to activate the tiles, but they didn't work.

"OH WELL." Mettaton said as he engaged in battle with you. You fled the battle and ran as Mettaton chased you. You soon entered a hotel and ran through, immediately Mettaton was swarmed with fans asking for an autograph. While he was distracted, you ran through a door that said Core and you continued through dodging all the piles of dust you came across. You ran until you finally found a door that seemed like an exit. You rushed through the door and saw Mettaton waiting there for you.

"How do you do that?" You eagerly asked him.

"DO WHAT DARLING?" Mettaton asked mischievously. You sigh and shook your head, disappointment showed on your face.

"Never mind." You said sadly.

"SORRY FOLKS! THE OLD PROGRAM'S BEEN CANCELED! BUT WE'VE GOT A FINALE THAT WILL DRIVE YOU WILD! REAL DRAMA, ACTION, AND BLOODSHED!! ON OUR NEW SHOW... 'A TRUE STORY; A HUMAN'S TERRIBLE MURDER!!'" Mettaton said with jazz hands.

"LISTEN, DARLING. I'VE SEEN YOU FIGHT. YOU'RE WEAK. IF YOU CONTINUE, YOU WOULD SURELY DIE. IF I GET YOUR SOUL, I'LL CROSS THROUGH THE BARRIER... AND BECOME THE STAR I'VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF BEING! HUNDREDS, THOUSANDS... NO! MILLIONS OF HUMANS WILL WATCH ME! GLITZ! GLAMOUR! I'LL FINALLY HAVE IT ALL! SO WHAT IF A FEW PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE? THAT'S SHOW BUSINESS, BABY!" Mettaton screamed. You ran behind him and flipped his switch.

"DID YOU JUST FLIP... MY SWITCH?" Mettaton asked. And your battle began as Mettaton turned to Mettaton Ex. Mettaton Ex was covered in ash, and had some rust, and he was very tall. He had some hair covering his right eye, light seemed to seep through the hair, and he had some smexy boots. He was completely black, due to the ash that covered all of Hotland, you noticed that the eye you could see was drooping out of it's socket, creepy. A glitchy bar popped the the right above Mettaton Ex. The box was labeled Rates. Mettaton made a disco ball pop out of the cieling and started fired off a blue and orange lasers. You dodged a blue one, but the laser managed to graze your leg.

Before you had time to react to the first laser another blue laser shot at you. You didn't have time to move, so you braced yourself for the laser, but nothing happened you opened your eyes to see a orange laser and you quickly tried to dodge it. The laser still grazed you, but again nothing happened. The disco ball went back into the cieling. You tried to catch you breath as Mettaton waited impatiently for you to attack. When it was clear you weren't going to do anything, Mettaton made tiny, glitchy, ash covered Mettatons with an umbrella attack you with kisses. You slowly dodged the kisses. Your movement slowed down immensely. You were running out of energy.

"Shit!" You said loudly. Mettaton glared at you, you covered your mouth. You were filled with... Dread.

"Oh my! This a family friendly TV show. Now stand still while I murder you!" Mettaton said angrily. You tried to apologize, but Mettaton wouldn't listen to you. You dodged his attacks, but because of how slow you were you were hit several times. 'If Mettaton wants me to play his game then I have to. Man do I feel stupid. I shouln't have said anything in the first place.' You thought as you dodged Mettaton's finale part of his attack. You sighed and did a heel turn. You heard applause, you looked for the monsters, but there weren't any except Mettaton. You put your foot down and smiled at yourself for landing the turn. Mettaton looked at you with a bit of joy, but then he remembered you swearing and his joy quickly disappeared and he was glaring at you.

Mettaton attacked you again and you got some minor burns. You did a dramatic pose and fell to the ground because you leaned back to far. Mettaton attacked you again and he managed to give you a bad burn.

You did several more poses and even challenged Mettaton saying he wouldn't be able to hit you, you challenged him twice. He hit you the first time and on the second time he missed you. Mettaton 'opened his heart' to you and his arms fell off. You stared at the arms and laughed a bit when Mettaton tried to distract you from them. Soon Mettaton's legs fell off. Mettaton looked up at the Ratings box and smiled widely.

"OOOHH! LOOK AT THESE RATINGS! THIS IS THE MOST VIEWER I'VE EVER HAD! NOW WE WILL BE TAKING CALLS! SO ONE OF YOU LUCKY MONSTERS WILL BE ABLE TO CALL ME!" Mettaton said happily, he seemed to forget you were there. Mettaton started ringing and he answered.

"... oh... hi... mettaton... I really liked watching your show... my life is pretty boring, but... seeing you on the screen... brought excitement to my life... vicariously I can't tell, but... I guess this is the last episode...? I'll miss you... mettaton... oh... I didn't mean to talk so long... oh..." Napstablook's voice sounded, but he hung up before Mettaton could say anything. Other callers came in and Mettaton answered desperately. While Mettaton was distracted with the calls you tried to sneak away, but Mettaton fired a bright laser at you.

"DARLING YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER NOT TO LEAVE WHEN YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF A BATTLE!" Mettaton said not looking at you and he quickly answered the next call.

"There is a Mettaton hole in my Mettaton shaped heart." The last caller said.

"EVERYONE... THANK YOU SO MUCH. ... DARLING. PERHAPS... IT MIGHT BE BETTER IF I STAY HERE A WHILE. HUMANS ALREADY HAVE STARS AND IDOLS, BUT MONSTERS... THEY ONLY HAVE ME. IF I LEFT... THE UNDERGROUND WOULD LOSE ITS SPARK. I'D LEAVE AN ACHING VOID THAT COULD NEVER BE FILLED. SO... I THINK I'LL HAVE TO DELAY MY BIG DEBUT. BESIDES. YOU'VE PROVEN TO BE VERY STRONG. I'M SURE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO PROTECT HUMANITY. HA, HA... IT'S ALL FOR THE BEST, ANYWAY. THE TRUTH IS, THIS FORM CONSUMES SO MUCH ENERGY. IN A FEW MOMENTS, I'LL RUN OUT OF BATTERY POWER, AND... WELL. I'LL BE ALRIGHT. KNOCK 'EM DEAD, DARLING. AND EVERYONE... THANK YOU. YOU'VE BEEN A GREAT AUDIENCE!" Mettaton screamed out with a wide smile. You rushed over to Mettaton whispered something in his ear. Mettaton's eyes widened with surprise and smiled gently at you. He nodded.

"THANK YOU, DARLING." Mettaton said as he powered down. You ran off out of the room as the headpiece cleaned the core. You walked down the hall and saw something sparkly. You jogged over to it. It was a monster SOUL shaped hair clip. You picked it up with a smile.

You jogged to the elevator. Before you could touch the button you felt your arm fall asleep. You tried to move it, but it refused. You tried your other arm, but it didn't work either. You felt your legs give out and your face landed on the elevator's wall. Your body fell to the ground and you were left in a very uncomfortable position.

When you were finally able to move, you quickly picked yourself up and thanked the elevator that nobody used the elevator. You quickly pushed the elevator's button and rushed out. You walked out of the elevator and noticed that everything was gray and covered with dust. You continued and saw several buildings. The view was amazing other than the fact that most of the buildings were crumbling. You sat down and dangled your legs off the edge of the hallway... or was it a bridge? You didn't know nor did you care, so you just enjoyed the view in front of you. You heard someone dragging themselves. You turned your head to see what it was.

It was a goat man he had one large white horn and the horn was broken, he had blonde hair and a blonde beard, and his fur was white. He had golden shoulder pads, there was ripped purple fabric underneath the golden shoulder pads. He had broken golden armor and a broken crown. He was holding himself up with a red breaking trident. He was covered in knife wounds, cuts, and dust. When he saw you he was filled with anger and grief.

"Young one leave this place!!" The goat man said. The goat man raised his red trident and looked like he was going to stab you with it. You moved off the edge and tried to get away from him, but he just stabbed the trident into the ground making the ground crack. The trident started to break more. The goat man slipped down to the floor. You rush to him on instinct, but you hesitated when you touched his fur.

"Young one leave me. You must save yourself." The goat man said. You shook your head.

"No, I came here to HELP and that's what I plan to do, so As— I mean mr. goat man... Sir... I will HELP you." You said with a smile. The goat smiled, but had a look of confusion in his eyes. He looked down as he slumped to the floor. The clip on your head started to glow brightly and a white spirit of a monster glowed in front of you and the goat. The monster was glowing too bright for you to see what she looked like, but you know she had a snout. The goat looked at the child with grief and amazement. The child was too bright for you to look at for too long.

"We must hurry, Y/n we don't have much time! My name is Adilyne by the way make sure you remember it." A sweet voice came from the bright spirit.

"Adilyne?" Asgore asked out loud he seemed to recognize the spirit. The spirit turned to Asgore.

"Yes... Asgore..." The spirit kneeled down grabbed your hand and pet the top of Asgore's head. Asgore started to heal. Asgore reached up to touch the spirit and his hand went right through her. When he saw his hand go through her.

"Asgore we forgive you." Adilyne whispered, Asgore looked like he was about to cry.

"Thank you, Adilyne for forgiving me." Asgore said. You heard the monster smile and chuckle.

"Y/n we are in a huge rush so I suggest we get a move on." Adilyne said as she pet Asgore's nose. Adilyne started to disappear.

"Good bye Adilyne!" I waved her goodbye.

"Bye!!" Adilyne said as she disappeared. You looked at Asgore with confusion, what did he do? Tears pricked Asgore's eyes, but he quickly wiped them away and he stood up.

"Thank you young one, but like I said earlier. You must leave." Asgore said. You shook your head.

"And like I said earlier, I am not leaving. There is still some monsters to save and I can't leave them to die." You said. Asgore smiled at your bravery. Asgore pat you on the back.

"Then I shall wait for you here." Asgore said and walked to the wall, slumped down to the floor. You nodded your head. You turned around to leave when you saw your SOUL pop in front of you. Your SOUL was starting to crack. You felt the stabbing-like pain go through your chest, you felt your head start to explode with pain, your eyes started burning like they were on fire, and your body collapse. You fell to the floor, you heard Asgore called to you. But you put your hands out to catch yourself. You heard your elbows crack. You screamed at the pain and fell to the ground. You were screaming at yourself. Asgore picked you up and started healing you. You felt your hands go weak. Your ears started to ring loudly. You saw Asgore's panicked face, he was saying something. You shook your head and struggled out of Asgore's arms. You tried to tell Asgore you were fine, but you couldn't hear your words. Asgore looked at you with confused eyes, you didn't say the words you were trying to say. You pointed to the ground and Asgore put you on the ground. The moment your feet touched the floor the world started spinning. You put your hand out to touch the wall, but you realized there was no wall and you felt yourself start to fall. Asgore grabbed your arm and pulled you back.

You felt your eyes close. 'No don't fall asleep, not when you're so close!' You thought, suddenly everything stopped and your eyes shot open. You shot up and bashed your head into Asgore's snout.

"Sorry Asgore." You apologized as you grabbed your forehead.

"There is no need to apologize." Asgore said with a goofy smile.

"I... I... I have to go!" You said and you started to run to the exit, but Asgore grabbed your arm. You turned and looked at Asgore.

"I know I can't stop you, so hold out your hand." Asgore instructed. You did what he said and held your hand out to him. He dropped two keys into your hand.

"Stay strong, Y/n." Asgore said.

"How did you know my name?" You asked him.

"The other human child screamed it out when you disappeared. I didn't know anyone with that name so I just assumed that it was your name." Asgore said.

"Oh... Well, I'll stay strong." You said with determination laced in your voice. Asgore smiled and you quickly ran off. You turned the corner and saw a gray copy of Toriel's home back in the Ruins. You rushed down the stairs and down the hallway you fought Chara in. Your blood was still on the floor. You shuddered and ran through the hall and walked through the door. Sans was in the same spot where you left him. Hanging from the ceiling with vines. Sans looked at you with his death glare thinking you were Chara, but when he saw it was you a look of dread crossed his face.

"KID GET OUT OF HERE!" Sans yelled at you. You looked at him with confused eyes.

"What? I came back! What's wrong?" You asked. Sans stared at you with with dread still on his face.

"Sans?" You called his name, but he only stared at you.

"You have to leave now, Kid!" Sans said.
