Chapter Twenty-Four: Avenge
Bullheit ran down the hall. He breathed heavily, and his muscles ached. His eyelids grew heavy, and he was drenched in sweat. But he did not care. Not one bit. His mind was too focused. It was focused on something that was more important. Someone.
Ameo.
Memories came back to him. He cared for Ameo and loved him like a brother. From the moment that they met. To now.
The commander remembered it all.
When Shelly created Lord Zorac, she also created Bullheit and Senlie. She thought that it would be good for Zorac to have a brother. And Senlie could be the leader's friend. She thought that it would bring comfort to Zorac.
Unfortunately, she was wrong.
It was not enough for him. He even told Shelly that. He was beginning to hunger for power, so he asked her if she could make a crew that he could lead and a ship. The Lubriem only wanted him to be happy. So of course, she made a special ship.
The ship was large, both on the outside and the inside. It would be perfect for him and his crew.
Then, Shelly made a hundred people. They all looked like Bullheit, but she put in the time and effort for the characters.
Each crew member had his own name and personality. Some were good at designing. Others could solve complex situations.
And then, there was Ameo.
Think of Ameo as the rebellious quartz - or diamond. He was the last of the hundred members created. When he and the rest of the crew met Lord Zorac, Zorac told them that they were made for a reason. That reason was determined by Zorac himself. He said that whatever that he ordered them to do was their purpose in life. The members understood.
But Ameo could not.
The leader assigned him, along with other members, the task of finding planets. Zorac would then conquer or destroy the planets. Whatever he decided that would be best.
At first, Ameo did his duty. He searched for planets and informed the others.
That all came to a halt. A year later.
When Zorac turned against the Lubriem and decided to rule the earth.
Something changed about Ameo. He no longer finished what he started. He ignored his leader's orders. Heck, he even begged Zorac to spare the planet.
"Please. Let us not take this planet as our own," he begged. "There is so much life."
"My own," Zorac corrected. "And I do not care about the life on the earth. I will take it and not hear your dumb excuses." He motioned with a hand. "Go back to your station."
Ameo did not give up on protecting the planet. He organized petitions. He tried getting the whole crew involved. He did everything that he could as the person that Shelly made him to be. But his status meant nothing to Lord Zorac. Or even Senlie.
So he decided to make a stand.
As somebody that they could not ignore.
He was going to wipe off every "Non-Fiend" off the ship and planet.
But everything changed when he met Bullheit.
Bullheit remembered.
He was worried about Ameo and went searching for him. As he was, Ameo jumped out from behind a bush and pointed his space gun at him.
"Who goes there?" he demanded.
Bullheit's body was shaking. Ameo had scared him.
"I-I..." the commander stammered. He was afraid that his soon-to-be friend would kill him.
Ameo realized who it was and lowered his weapon. "Do not be frightened. I am happy to see you again."
Bullheit was surprised. "H-happy to see me?"
"I saw you. A "Non-Fiend." Defending the humans."
He rubbed the back of his neck. "Uh..."
A scream interrupted Bullheit's thinking. He snapped back to reality and hurried into a room.
There was his friend. His best friend. In a small spaceship.
"Ameo!" the commander called his name and hurried up to him. He tried opening the door of the spaceship.
"It is no use, my friend," Ameo said. "The guards locked the door before they left."
"Ugh!" He looked at his best friend. "I need to get you out!"
"You cannot. The guards are in the other room. Once they press the red button, the spaceship will take off."
Tears streamed down the commander's cheeks. "They cannot do this to you! They cannot!"
A voice came over the loudspeaker. "We will be launching in ten...nine..."
"Eep!" Bullheit pounded on the spaceship. "You cannot go! Not now!"
"...eight...seven...six..."
"My friend, could you do one thing for me?" Ameo said.
"...five...four..."
"What is it? Tell me!"
"...three...two..."
"...avenge me."
"...one. Blastoff!"
The spaceship took off, sending Ameo into space.
"Ameo!" Bullheit shouted at the top of his lungs. "No!" He raised a fist in the air. "I will avenge you!"
