Chapter Thirty: Escaping Space

"Ah!" the three villains cried.

The shards glistened. They had sharp ends that could cut through anything.

Even soft - or wooden - flesh.

"Calm down," Ameo told them. He was the only one who remained calm. "Need I remind you that I am skillful. I can dodge the shards with no problem." He started up his scooter. "All I ask is that you lean close to me and the scooter. That way, you can be sure that you will not be scratched by the glass."

"What about you and your scooter?" Kai reminded him. "You are as big as Bill, and your scooter is exposed. Plus, you never told us that you are skillful."

He chuckled. "I do not like to boast."

In an instant, the scooter flew off. There was a narrow way between the shards of glass, so Ameo went that way. Slappy gripped the basket. Bill grasped Ameo's arm. Kai held onto the end of the scooter. Bill's eye widen, and Slappy and Kai gritted their teeth. None of them wanted to be cut.

"It is okay," Ameo reassured them. "Just do what I said and stay close."

I bet you readers that the threesome did not listen and got cut anyway.

'Cause they did.

"Ow!" Bill yelled.

"It hurts!" Kai informed.

"So much pain!" Slappy shouted.

Ameo rolled his eyes. He figured that they would not listen to a word that he said. They were filled with so much worry.

Though, who could blame them?

As soon as they got into the ship, the shards disappeared into space, and the wind kicked up.

"Hurry up!" Margie called. She ran out of the room.

"We are coming!" Ameo proclaimed. He shifted the scooter, and the scooter turned, exiting out of the throne room before the wind could carry them back to the vastness of space.

The group flew past the double doors, and Margie closed the doors behind them and followed.

"Can we stop now? We are already in the ship!" Slappy complained. "I want to get out of this basket!"

"In just a few seconds," Ameo explained. "We are almost there."

"To where?"

Ameo forced the scooter to stop. He turned to a room that was to the right. The door was opened...

...and people were inside.

Two girls stepped out of the room. But they were not our girls that we have come to know and love.

Ameo smiled and waved. "Hi, Amber! Hi, Alari!"
