New Year's Eve

Hoseok, Yoongi, Namjoon, and even Lisa had been busy looking for where Jungkook was, been since Christmas, and he never showed up, even though his phone wasn't active, Jin had just finished dialysis when Hoseok called him. He was with Taehyung at the hospital.

"Hello?" Jin said.

"Jin, am I bothering you?" Hoseok said and Jin looked at Taehyung.

"No, what's wrong?" Jin said.

"Do you know where Jungkook is? I'm sure you were the last time to saw him, all his work fell apart because he couldn't be contacted," Hoseok said.

"What? Does that mean he didn't come back to his house?" Jin said.

"No, Lisa just came back yesterday and she didn't see Jungkook there, even today he hasn't come home, Jin I know this is very troublesome, but can you help me?" Hoseok said.

"Yes, I will help you," Jin said.

"Thanks, Jin, call me if you know anything about him," Hoseok said.

"Okay." Jin hung up the phone and Taehyung raised his eyebrows.

"Who contacted you?" Taehyung said.

"That's Hoseok, he asked me to look for Jungkook," Jin said.

"No you just did dialysis you should rest let's go home" Taehyung grabbed Jin's hand but he pulled it away.

"I can't, I'm fine, you can go home first and--"

"No! I said no! That's enough Jin, you saw for yourself what he did to you and what do you call love? If he loved you he wouldn't forget you like this," Taehyung said.

"I don't even know what love means Tae, if this isn't love as it should be then I will still do it, I don't care how love he interprets, but this is proof of the love I feel for him, if he stops choosing me, I will never stop choosing him," Jin said.

"Why? Could you just once see me here!" Taehyung said.

"You'll be disappointed if you wait for me, that's why I asked you to find someone else, who will never make you wait," Jin said and he just walked away, he ran with tears on his cheeks, found a taxi and went to a place that was just the two of them who knows.

Arriving at the apartment, Jin didn't know if Jungkook was there or not, but that was the only place in his head when Hoseok said he wasn't coming back to his house. He opened his apartment door and saw no one.

"Jungkook, are you here?" Jin said but he heard no answer from anyone. Slowly he walked and opened his bedroom door, he saw the balcony door was open, and sure enough, Jungkook was there.

"Jungkook.." Jin said and Jungkook immediately looked at him, his eyes were very puffy, and he was very pale.

"What are you doing there? It's so cold outside" Jin said, he approached Jungkook slowly.

"How come you never told me?" Jungkook said and tears rolled down his cheeks again.

"What do you mean?" Jin said.

"Why didn't you ever tell me that I caused the accident? I destroyed you! Why?" Jungkook screamed hysterically, making Jin flinch and shed tears.

"Why did you ask the others to keep this a secret from me? Why didn't you make me remember everything about you? Why did you do this to me? Why did you bring Lisa to me and just walk away? Why!" he said.

"And this, why did you give it to me? This is a present for you! To hell with this necklace!" Jungkook threw it on the floor in front of Jin. Jin's steps stopped as his eyes were still on Jungkook.

"Why Jin? ANSWER ME!" Jin flinched at his scream again.

"I'm...I'm sorry," Jin said and Jungkook immediately came over to him, he hugged Jin and cried in his arms.

"I remember everything, I remember what we've been through so far, I remember about you, about us," Jungkook said and Jin was silent, he wanted to hug Jungkook but he remembered what Jungkook's mother said.

"I can't do this," Jin pushed Jungkook's body away from him.

"What? why are you pushing me?" he said.

"We can never go back to how we used to be, everything has changed even if you remember it, just when you decided to forget your past, I also decided to let you go," Jin said.

"Is it because of my mother?" he said.

"Yeah, but she's always right, if you're with me, you'll only get in trouble Jungkook, and I don't want that to happen to you again," Jin said.

"Then why are you here? Who would've told you if I didn't come back to my house? You still care about me and you say such bullshit!" he said.

"You will never know what it's like to be me," Jin said.

"So you just gave up like that?" he said.

"I'm not giving up Jungkook," Jin said.

"Bullshit!" he said.

"Your mother died because of me! because she wants me to pay for everything I've done to you! She made me live with guilt! and it's not bullshit!" Jin said and Jungkook just kept quiet, he looked Jin in the eye at that time.

"She made me like this, and she was right, as long as you are with me you always have bad luck, your father died, many of your projects failed, your mother abandoned you, and this accident is one of those bad luck, when you wake up from a coma, and you don't recognize me I think that maybe fate, the answer to all my confusion. Forgetting me is much easier than remembering, right? That's what you told me," Jin said.

"That's why you never made me remember you? That's why you brought Lisa to me so I could completely forget you?" Jungkook said and Jin just nodded.

"I don't ask anything more from you, all my prayers to god have been granted, you remember everything, and you are happy," Jin said.

"You coward Jin," Jungkook said.

"Yeah, I know, that's why I went and hid because, despite the pain I feel, my stupidity will still choose you," Jin said.

"Come back to your house, Lisa is waiting for you and Hoseok says your work is messy because you disappeared, we start life anew today, maybe it's time for me to accept someone who's been waiting for me," Jin said and he turned to leave but Jungkook hugged him from behind, burying his face in Jin's neck.

"What are you doing? let me go!" Jin said.

"No, I will never let you go, not a second time," Jungkook whispered, he turned Jin's body and looked at him.

"We can't do this, you're normal, there's still a chance to change everything," Jin said and Jungkook wiped Jin's tears off his cheeks.

"Didn't you say I'm the only man you fell in love with?" Jungkook said and brought his face closer to Jin's, touching Jin's plump lips, and kissing him warmly.
