7.

The small cave fell loudly, and I slightly grimaced, stretching my joints. Miss Kalinka and my siblings rushed to me, hugging me tight. I crouched at their height returning the embrace with a smile.

"Thank you for helping my poppa!" Miss Kalinka exclaimed

I ran my hand through her hair then stood up straight as authorities guided my friends to a tent to care for them. I walked over with the three children, soon seeing them run to their respective parents. Thomas looked up at me as I scanned them for any injuries.

"If you believe to be in good hands, then I would like to return to my function."

He smiled and nodded.

"Go ahead, Dragon woman."

I bowed my head and teleported to the entrance of my cave. I walked in and saw the fallen wall I had used as a way to drive Wood man away. A small pang of guilt played in the pit of my nonexistent stomach, but I pushed it away.

"He attacked me, they attacked my friends. Why would I feel guilty for this?"

I crawled through the already made hole and started to dig all while sending vibrations to try and find crystals of sorts. I suddenly felt a naturally empty pocket in front of me. The walls were coated with crystals, that I could tell. I carefully dug closer, soon seeing a few blueish crystals.

"Interesting. It seems...that I have just found a sapphire based formation of crystals."

I worked on keeping pieces as big as possible as I dug to slowly get to the pocket. A beautiful mirroring cave revealed itself to me, my lights bouncing off the walls of the small room. I snapped a picture with the help of my eyes, then started grabbing the precious resource. Once my backpack was full I teleported to the institute I collaborated with. I walked in, greeting back whichever human would acknowledge my presence, and headed for the professor's office. I knocked on the wooden door and waited to be called in. As her voice called my name, I heard it from rather far, and lifted an eyebrow. I entered the room to see professor Rouge balancing at the top of a ladder while looking through her large bookshelf. She grinned at me and her foot slipped. I rushed to her and caught her in time. She laughed.

"Hello again, Dragon woman! I'm glad to see you!"

I gently let her down.

"Professor, do be careful. I will not always be able to save you from your fall." I lightly scolded

This was an usual occurence. Professor Rouge, in her energetic research on precious metals and stones, got herself hurt an awful lot. So I was assigned to help her, as a terrain searcher, and as an assistant in her laboratory.

"Heh! It wouldn't be a first!" She laughed, scratching the back of her head

I shook my head at her and slightly smiled before walking to a table and emptying my backpack. She marveled at my findings, bouncing on the ball of her feet. She hugged me tight before starting to analyze the specimen. After a while, her eyes widened, her smile gone for a few seconds.

"Star! It's unknown minerals!" She exclaimed

My head snapped to her faster than it sould, and I almost ran to her. Her computer showed an unknown composition close to sapphires. I looked at the components, a headache forming the more I did. I felt like I should know those, yet I did not.

"It seems those components might originate from space. They seem to jog my memory ever so slightly."

She looked up at me from her seat.

"Do you think...they might have a link to your home...?"

Yes, Professor Rouge is aware of my extraterrestrial origin. I only nodded. She looked at the chunks.

"Then keep them. If anyone's able to study them, it's you."

I nodded as a thank, and packed them in my backpack.

"Is there anything you would need help with?" I asked

She shook her head, grinning.

"It's getting late, I was thinking about going home anyways. I'd rather not spend another night here."

I smiled and hugged her before teleporting back to Light laboratory. I landed in front of the door. I went in, catching Thomas' attention as I did.

"Ah Star, how was the rest of your day?"

"Interesting, I might have found something linked to my home planet." I answered

His eyes grew wide and a bright smile stretched his features.

"What great news! Hopefully you'll be able to figure out something new!"

I smiled and sat beside him.

"Professor Rouge gave me the night off, I figured I'd stay around for a while."

He smiled and nodded.

I spent my night observing and analyzing in a loop the piece of crystal I held in my possession. I couldn't figure out or remember what it was. In my frustration, I must have made more noise than I wanted, as Rush sauntered up to me. He sat by my side and whined. I sighed and scratched his head.

"I'm sorry, Rush, I did not mean to wake you up. I'm just...having a bit of trouble with this specific piece" I apologized

He seemed sad and smelled the crystal for a few seconds. Then he started softly nudging at my communicator.

"Do you suggest I contact one of the masters, to change my thoughts?"

He licked my cheek as an answer, making me giggle.

"Connection to first master online..."

"Hey Star! What's up?"

"Hello, Fire man. I need to distract myself, something has been frustrating me for quite a while."

"Ya wanna come and hang for a while?" He asked

"If you do not mind of course."

"All good! I don't mind at all."

"Very well. I will be right there."

As assured, in the next minute, I was by his side as he burned things. I explained to him what happened to frustrate me and he assured that I would figure it out one day, just not in a near future. I hoped he would be right.
