Dawn's POV

: Slayer can I ask you something"

Slayer: sure, what's up"

: do you like me?"

Slayer kissed me. I kissed him back.

Slayer: does that answer your question?"

: yes"

Slayer sat next to me and gently wrapped his arm around me. I laid my head on his shoulder. 2 months later we were back home. I heard that my sister Amelia is hanging around her friends more. I was planning on getting a job. School's out for repairs. I don't have to make up work for my missing days. Shad is coming back in 3 weeks. I am looking for a job. I saw one that I meant like.

" Needing help in a cafe, will serve people food and drinks and wear a maids outfit for their shift. Will pay 15,00 per hour, xxxxxxxxx"

I went to the cafe. Wow, this place is huge. I walked in and saw a lot of people.

One of the workers: hello there how may I help you?"

: I was wondering if I talk to the owner"

The worker led me to the office. I knocked on the door and heard a voice say come in. I walked into the office and saw a lot of maid dresses.

The owner: how may I help you?"

: I wanted to ask if I can have a job here"

The owner: I'm going to ask you a few questions"

: ok"

The owner: how old are you?* 17* do you have powers * yes the light of the phoenix* do you have any background in jail* no ma'am*"

She pointed at a light blue maid dress. I walked over to it and went to the changing room. Wow, this fits the necklace was messing with my sun necklace. I took the necklace off and smiled. I walked out and looked at the owner.

The owner: wow daring you look amazing* she saw the necklace in my hand* did it not fit?"

: no, it did I wanted to wear my sun necklace if that's okay with you"

The owner: it's okay with me, here is your work schedule if there are any problems, let me know"

I folded my schedule and went to the main area. 5 hours later I walked into my house and poured a glass of water. It's only 11 am. I laid down on the couch and looked at my schedule. I work in two days. I started coughing. I looked at the water and saw pink dust. What the?! I grabbed my phone and called Karma

Karma: hey Dawn* karma........* Dawn... hang on I'm on my way"

Everything went black

Karma's POV

I ran over to Dawn's house and went inside. Dawn was laying on the floor. I ran over to her and checked her pulse. She was alive. I looked at the glass of water near her. Pink dust... knock out dust. I gently picked Dawn up and went to my place. Slayer just pulled in. Slayer got up and looked at me.

Slayer: Karma what happened?!"

: Envy"

Slayer: get her inside, I will go to Carter"

I took Dawn inside and over to the couch. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a glass and poured some milk in it. Slayer came back with Carter. Carter ran over to Dawn. I was really worried about Dawn. Slayer walked over to the minibar and placed his head on the minibar. 10 minutes later Carter walked over to us.

Slayer: how is she?"

Carter: she will be okay, Karma you are lucky she called you, that dust could have poisoned her"

: I'm glad she is okay"

Slayer: me too"

The next day Dawn's POV

I woke up and saw Slayer's room. I heard voices downstairs. Slayer, Karma and my father, I sat down on the edge of the bed.

My father: So you're saying, my own daughter, is being targeted?! By who?!"

Karma: Envy, we already told the headmaster and the police about her. I don't think It will be a good idea for Dawn to stay at the house alone. Me and Slayer have thought of allowing Dawn to stay here and pay some of the rent. Shad is not coming back for a whole year. * I started to cry* we are going to need someone to help pay rent and get food with us"

My father: I don't know, you would have to ask Dawn"

I ran downstairs and looked at them.

: I want to stay"

They looked at me. Slayer walked over to me and hugged me. I cried in his chest, Slayer gently rubbed my back.

My father: sweetie.."

: I want to stay here with Slayer and karma"

Slayer's POV

I looked at Ace who was thinking. I keep Dawn close to me.

Ace: Dawn can we talk?"

Dawn: sir dad"

They went outside and started talking, the talking stopped. Dawn walked into the house and gently kissed me on the cheek. She went over to Karma and hugged him. Ace walked over to me.

Ace: Slayer, my daughter is staying you and Karma but I will making a daily call to check in on her, she is going be packing her bags tonight"

: I promise sir, she will be safe here"

Ace: good"

Dawn went to her house.

Dawn's POV

I texted my sister letting her know I moved into Slayer's house. I was packing my stuff. I opened my closet and grabbed my work dress.

I placed the dress in black uniform bag. The shoes were already in my suitcase. I grabbed a few other pairs of clothes and placed them in an air lock bag. Wow, I have a lot of clothes. I placed the bags on the floor. 40 minutes later I had one suitcase filled with clothes and shoes, the uniform bag and my phone all ready to go. I heard a knock on my old bedroom door. I opened it and saw Slayer standing there.

: hey Slayer"

Slayer: Hey Dawn, do you need any help with carrying your things?"

: yes please"

Slayer walked over to me and kissed me. I kissed him back. The next day I was reading a book when my phone went off. It was my sister Amelia. She was telling me that she is going on a trip with her friends to Spain. I sent her a thumbs up and went back to reading. My phone started to ring. I saw it was my boss's number. I answered it

: hello Miss Rain* hello Dawn I'm sorry to call you on your day off * no it's okay* I need you to come in* sure, I will be there in a little bit"

I hung up and changed into my uniform. 2 hours later I was taking orders from a table when Slayer and Karma walked in. crap! I went over to the cook window. The cook is named John.

: I need one banana muffins and one wild berry shake please John"

John: coming right up Dawn"

I saw Jenna walk over to the table where Slayer and Karma are at.

John: here are the muffins and shake"

I placed them on my tray and smiled at John. I went to the table. I placed the shake down and then the muffins.

: this there anything else I can get you?"

The lady: can I get a strawberry shake please"

: coming right up"

Jenna walked over to me,

Jenna: I need you to take my last table my hours are up"

: s...sure*I went to the window* John I need a strawberry shake please"

John: coming right up"

I walked over to Slayer and Karma

: Welcome to Cherry Cafe, I will be your maid today"

Slayer: Dawn?"

: hi Slay"

Karma: since when are you a maid?"

: I started working here not long ago. What can I get you two today"

4 hours later I was closing up the cafe when John walked over to me.

John: hey Dawn"

: hey John"

John: do you want to go see a movie this weekend?"

: sure, what time?"

John: around 6?"

: sure"

I went home and laid on the couch. I felt a rag touch my face

Karma: hard day at work?"

: yes, Karma can I ask you something?"

Karma: sure"

: what do you do when you get asked somewhere and you have a bad feeling about it?"

Karma; I wouldn't go, why?"

: I got asked to go to the movies this weekend with a co-worker name John"

Karma: the cook?!"

: yep"

Slayer's POV

I heard Karma and Dawn talking.

Karma: I don't trust him"

Dawn: I don't either, you see there is a guy I like but I don't know if he likes me back or not"

Karma: have you and the guy talked?"

Dawn: yes, we kissed twice"

Karma: you must really like this guy"

Dawn: I do, he saved my life twice on vacation.."

Karma: wow, he must really likes you"

Dawn: you think so?"

I pulled out my phone and called Dawn's phone. She answered it.

: hey* h-hi* I wanted to see if you wanted to go to the movies this weekend?* .... s-sure* cool, I will pick you up around 5?* awesome* Is there any place you want me to meet you?* Do you know where the Cherry Cafe is?* yes* let's meet there, if that's okay with you* sure"

I hung up and went to Karma and Dawn.

Karma: Slayer, no offense but you scare me when you smile"

: none taken, I just talked to my crush, we are meeting up this weekend and going to the movies"

Dawn: wow, me too"

: what time?"

Dawn: 5"

The weekend Dawn's POV

Arno was helping me. It's 3 pm. I'm super nervous. My date or hang out is in two hours

 wow, my makeup is awesome.

: thank you so much, Arno, for helping me"

Arno smiled and gently hugged me. I hugged her back. 5 pm I was waiting for my crush. I was also trying to hide from John. a red and black car pulled up and Slayer was sitting in the driver seat.

Slayer: what are you doing here?"

: waiting for my crush, you?"

Slayer: same"

: mind if I get in?"

Slayer: nope"

I got in his car.

: did you get a new car?"

Slayer: kinda, my car kinda got wrecked when we were in Florida and it took them this long to fix it and change the color of it"

: I like it"

Slayer: thanks, so this crush of yours. What does he like?"

: I don't know... all I do know is that he cares about me, we kissed twice. He saved my life twice"

Slayer: that's funny, I saved my crush twice and kissed her. I found out she a maid"

What that means, I looked at Slayer and blushed, this whole time my crush has been my best friend. Slayer looked at me and smiled. His phone went off. Slayer answered it. He sounded so happy. He hung up and closed his eyes. What is he doing? He placed his head on the back of his seat

Slayer: this whole time I was hanging out with my crush and to find out that she likes me back* I was about to say something when someone scared Slayer and me* no way!* he got out of the car and hugged the person* Neko how have you been?"

Neko: besides kicking evil's butts, good. You?"

Slayer: besides learning that my best friend is a maid and my crush.... Good, oh Dawn this is Neko. Neko my crush/friend Dawn"

: h-hi"

Neko: hey"(-Pumpkeeno-)

I looked in the mirror and saw John holding a gun. He shot the gun. All of a sudden the glass in the back window formed a shield and stopped the bullet from hurting me. Slayer used his dragon rushed and attack John. everything became blurry. I blacked out.

Neko's POV

I looked in the car and saw Dawn had fainted. I put the glass back in the window. Slayer ran over to me. He checked Dawn's plush. His face looked worried.
