Five

The Leader watched the group's confused faces as they began to ask constant questions. He waited until they silenced for his response to take a long sip from his glass, with a smile.

"You all are even more entertaining in person," he commented ignoring all questions asked. He stood up off the wall and moved to sit in a chair by the fire- which most definitely wasn't there a moment before. The Leader sat in the chair staring at the fire as he drank, "Watching you all in the time loops was very entertaining. My creatures will be most disappointed they weren't able to eat you though, I haven't fed them in a while. Huh, I should probably get someone to do that."

"Can you just tell us what exactly is going on?" Elias asked him.

The Leader turned toward him a sparkle in his eyes to match the smile on his face, "Do you want to know how I got this job? And of course I'd love to know what you all think about the test I put you through. I'd like feedback for future reference."

"Or you could tell us how we can live again?" Cameron suggested.

"And how to get out of here?" Micheala put in.

The Leader frowned slightly, "But where is the joy of jumping straight into business? Humor me and make small talk for a bit. I don't usually speak with anyone outside of my idiotic Guides. They don't have personalities, but I had to cut those out of their system because it made them too impulsive and untrustworthy... Hmm, I also still need to fix the fact they get tired. They still function like humans even though they never lived. I need them to be something closer to a robot, but not cause I don't want to do all that programming, also I doubt mortal souls will react well to a robot. I need something in between a robot and a human. That will be my model 10. My masterpiece. Then I can decommission the rest and feed them to the Jaintyin... those are my creatures that tried to eat you. They are a very effective security measure. They are truly one of my most interesting creations, but they are dumber than my model 4s and the 4s were designed to be dumb so they could only handle the chores. They- " He stopped short suddenly and gave them a look. "Sorry, what were we talking about?"

The group locked around at one another, getting any information out of this man was going to be a frustrating process.
