Past

I still remember what happened that day....after my confession to the Agarwal family....Adveet's phone started ringing....he picked up seeing Shan's name on screen of his phone.

Shan informed us about Adu's suicide attempt. We rushed to the hospital she was admitted to.

After reaching there....we noticed her two friends are sitting on the waiting area crying their eyes out.

I approached them to ask about Adu....but after noticing me.....they glared at me like they are ready to cut me into pieces.

So I decided to wait.....just like me....the Agarwal family too had no courage to ask anything to them.

After almost 30 mins or more....a nurse approached us...."Excuse me! Who is from Miss Aditiya's family here?"

We all came forward... before we could say anything....Shan interrupted us saying...."I am her friend... please tell us what happen?"

"Well doctors are calling for the guardian of patient and may any person who will take the responsibility..." the nurse replied.

Shan nodded "I will go sister.... I don't know about them..." he pointed towards us.

The nurse looked towards us for an answer. My dad spoke..."Nurse,....this gentleman, my son Vivian, me and Mr. Laksh who is father of the patient will go...."

The nurse nodded and took is to Doctor's cabin....we entered to see a doctor in his late 30's sitting on a chair.... reading some file.

"May we come in?" I asked for permission....the doctor's eyes widened at the recognition...
"Sir....come come....are you Miss Aditiya's family? I didn't know or else...." Me and my dad just rolled our eyes. What's with the people getting nervous after hearing our names?"

The doctor literally stood up from his place...my dad showed his palm to keep him in place.

The doctor informed us....Adu tried to commit suicide with knife so he had to call police.... police will be coming soon here.

...but the next information almost made my heart stopped...."The baby.... I mean your baby Mr. Vivian....it may not survive."

I choked on my breath....my baby...our baby...."No....no....no no noooooo! Save my baby and wife both you bastard or get ready to beg in the streets..." The doctor lost colour of his face....he knew Vivian Arora never gives empty threats....my dad dragged me out of the cabin and assured me everything will be okay.

After 2 hours.... doctors were able stable my Adu's condition....my baby was okay too.

I entered into her cabin alone....only to see several wires attached to her fragile body....

My heart broke seeing her this condition...but I can't even blame her.... I can't....it's all because of me.

I will heal her. I sat beside her in a stool and kissed her forehead.... she stirred from her sleeping state...she opened her beautiful eyes....her eyes started roaming here and there....then they fell on me....her eyes widened...."Vi...vi..vi...a...a..an....?" she mumbled....while I didn't said anything.

Her eyes felt hollow....which expressed how she regret coming back to consciousness.

I know her healing speed may decrease if I stay in front of her eyes. So I just left from the room.

I was sitting on the couch of special VIP waiting room along with my father. Suddenly doctors and nurses rushed to us.

"What's happened...Dr. Mehta?" Mr. Laksh asked sternly....the doctor was shivering due to fear but still decided to open his mouth...."Sir, actually....Mrs. Agarwal is not there anymore in her cabin. The CCTV footage shows...she was kidnapped by a person who entered into her cabin wearing the uniform of nurse. We already called police. That was enough for me to get into full rage...."If anything happened to my wife or kid...get ready to pay for it..." giving him warning... I quickly went outside only to see police were already there.

"Mr. Vivian Arora?" the police officer asked me.... I mean everyone knows me in this state so police are nothing new....

"Yes.... I am sure doctors already told you about my wife?" I asked and the officer nodded

They kept asking questions after questions about our doubts, about Adu's suicide....but Dad managed everything out...

I refused to go back home without my Adu and out unborn baby....but mom forced me to go back with her. I went back just to take a nap and again coming back.

In the evening, police found Aditiya's whereabouts....and Aditiya's parents got called at police station along with us. We were shown a pendant which obviously doesn't belongs to Adu as she doesn't wear any piece of jewelry but the pendant.

The police then showed us the picture found in it....a woman of late 20s holding a toddler....in the picture. I obviously didn't recognised the lady but after seeing the photo, the Agarwal couple freezed. Along with me, the officer too noticed...."Do you know her....Mr. and Mrs. Agarwal?" They both nodded....

We all waited for their answer....Mr. Agarwal was trying to open his mouth but something is stopping me but wiping the tears that Mr. Agarwal was shedding for her daughter...she answered...."Damini....she is Damini."

We all never heard about this damn name....who was she...we had no idea that time....

"She is one of the dark chapters of my life....that I never wanted to remember....but guess what may be she is back...back to take her revenge." Mr. Agarwal blurted out without hesitation.... before the officer could ask more question...his phone started ringing....

*Tring....Tring...Tring...Tring...*

He picked up the call...and his eyes widened....he replied something that sounds..."Yup...we are coming."

The officer turned towards us..."We found Mrs. Aditiya Arora....she is near the Shiv temple of the sriman bazaar..."
