New Start: Part 2

That evening Anna was having dinner with her parents while waiting for Kristoff to pick her up for their date. They were doubling with Olaf and Molly. It would be the first time they would be out with them and they were going bowling. Olaf wasn't really that great at it, but he was interesting to watch. The problem was he would physically drop more pin than the actual ball he was using.

Tonight was going to be guys against girls. Anna just hoped that Molly was a fair player. Anna just sat at the dinner table hoping it would be over soon. Her parents pretty much never talked, not to her anyway and when they did say something it was about something not important, like the weather or how gas prices were too high. It just made Anna want to roll her eyes and scream.

"Did you take the trash out?" my mother turned to my father and asked.

"I will tonight," he said not even looking at her and instead concentrated on his food.

"Did you pay the paper boy this week?" she asked, and she took a huge gulp of water.

"We're on auto pay," he said and Anna felt like screaming.

"Would you two stop?" Anna finally said ready to snap.

"What's the matter, dear?" her mother asked in a nauseatingly pleasant voice and then spooned herself some mashed potatoes. "Are you and Kristoff having problems?"

"No, Mom," I said and then heard a car horn sound from outside the house. Thank goodness it was Kristoff. "I have to go."

"Be home by eleven," her father said and that more than anything made her groan. It's not that she minded having a curfew, but it seemed like her parents weren't really her parents. It's like they disappeared the same time as Elsa did.

Anna just wanted it all the stop, but it didn't look like that was going to happen anytime soon. She grabbed her purse and walked out the door. Seeing Kristoff instantly put a smile on her face.

She practically ran to the car and saw the front passenger's side was already opened. She hopped into car and sat down.

"Hey, beautiful," Kristoff said. Even seeing her in casual wear sent his heart a flutter. She gave him a forced smile not wanting him to know something was bothering her. "Something wrong?"

"Not now," she said as she reached over and turned up the radio. She sat back and tried to enjoy the music, but her enjoyment was interrupted by giggling in the back seat. She looked back and saw Olaf and Molly being insatiably cute.

She smiled happy that Olaf had found someone special like she did. At that moment, she forgot all about the situation with her parents and concentrated on having a good time.
