this is actually more about me but whatever, still includes my dad.

A few minutes ago my Dad wanted me to drive him to Menard's. I kinda complained about it and my Dad said I didn't have to. Cool. Then he kept bugging me about it and eventually said that my mom said I have to (I don't thonk she did, her office is right next to my room.) and then after I still didn't get up he said "I don't have all day." I said "Cool." because I noticed it as a stalling opportunity (like I wasn't already stalling-) so then he was like "Okay, let's go." and walked away. During that, I had been playing Pokemon Y on my 3DS. Figuring he might snatch my phone when he came back, I hid it real quick. When he came back, he told me to talk to my mom and she was like "It's good practice." well guess what, "I don't care." My dad eventually asked me if I'd rather just drive with my mom, something I agreed to. So now I wasn't driving them. Then, he said to go get my Nintendo Switch because "I was grounded". Like my man, that wasn't even what I was playing on. And even if I were, I'd just go play on my 3DS. Anyways, what I did was was walk back to my room, say bye, and shut the door. He of course immediately dropped it because in every time he's "grounded me" he's never once legitimately grounded me.

why did i just completely weasel myself out of that situation? and why do i weasel myself out of situations all the fucking time?
