so
So, I don't say thank you all that much.
Instead, I just kinda give the person a nod amd kinda smile.
I'm too used to people understanding that last weekend after this one girl complimented me and I looked back at her and did my thing, she was like "You could have said thank you."
We weren't even supposed to be talking at the time either.
But I was also like "why?" because she complimented me saying that I looked pretty, but I disagreed, mostly because I can't stand my hair being down and I was forced to wear it down.
I mean, I of course still say thank you sometimes, but just not the majority of times.
It's very similar to how in the majority of scenarios, instead of saying "you're welcome" or "no problem" I'm like "Mhm"
I think part of the reason I do this is because the traditional ways feel a bit ingenuine to myself. I don't really know how to describe it any better, but I remember specifically zoning in on you're welcome feeling wrong in the past.
I'm an extremely quiet person and find a lot of people and just social interaction with people I don't know well intimidating, so these ways almost get me out of doing anymore interacting.
Idk tho
