Apparently the "word" railroaded, meaning to be stopped by a train, is just a made up thing by the town I live in.

I learned this from my current issues teacher who told us about him telling his friend's friends from Seattle that he got railroaded and they were all very confused. When he told them what he meant, they we're all just like "why didn't you just say you got stopped by a train?"

It's because in this town we get stopped by trains so often that it deserves its own word.
