Chapter 2 Warning
(I am still hesitant about the title, if you have any suggestions on a different one, or if you prefer this title, leave your opinions and advice down in the comments below. Thanks in advance!)
John turned to Katie in desperation, though did his best to keep his cool just for her. Before he dared speaking any sort of soothing lullaby, his chest was gliding itself in an inward and outward motion that was more noticeable than it usually would be. Every part of his living being wanted to do the opposite of what he was about to do at this second, though he rejected the prideful side with haste, "Just stay calm, and look at me, Katie. You'll going to be alright, I promise you."
You are just saying that to make me "feel better." You don't really care. Why would any of you care? Besides, promises can only go so far. This was something she wished to voice out loud, but for some reason, she held her tongue. It's probably for the best anyway. Katie didn't reply to his "reassuring comment". She did her best to relax, and not focus on the strange and sudden pain that rested in her stomach.
John sighed as he helped her up, whether she didn't want it or not. He already knew that she didn't trust him. Though that didn't stop him from trying to help her without having her freak out on him, and possibly passing out in the process. He held her back and her arm to help balance so she didn't fall over again. He focused his full attention on her, "Just stay with me, Katie. Don't pass out or anything. The thing I've learned most about you is that you don't enjoy touch from a human, and I don't want to cross your boundaries."
Katie didn't reply still, allowing her stubbornness to give her the courage to fight back and get away from the school as quick as she could. She didn't care if this John would be willing to support her in her current situation. She barely even knew the guy, and she as heck didn't trust him. She glared back at Collin, planning her dramatic escape.

Collin could only stare down his old foe. A foe that went way back with him since forever ago. He honestly didn't remember when they actually met, but he didn't care. He had Katie where he wanted her. That's all that mattered at this moment. He won, and he felt successful, more than he ever had in years. An evil grin started spreading across his face as he inched closer to his victim. He knew what would happen next, and didn't need to try.
He eyed Katie, like a predator eyeing their prey, ready to pounce and corner their prey so they were cut off from any sort of escape for them. His gaze never wavered, and that sly grin grew as he neared her. He could smell her fear from a mile away. He couldn't wait for the best part; tasting the negative emotions that were hypnotizing him, allowing him to crave for more.

John glanced to see Collin's soft nudges of his feet scraping the tiled floor. His mouth reached for Katie's ear. He didn't want to make it obvious, so he acted as if he was a spy, communicating with his partner in crime, "Katie..." he warned in his calling. "Run."
Katie didn't have to be asked twice, sprinting towards the closest exit to her car. She felt as if she had been drinking more than one cup of coffee, or even about two or three liters of soda. She grinned, using this new found confidence to her advantage. The feeling of flight allowed her to feel something totally different, at least what she felt previously. She felt... free? She couldn't describe this feeling, and it frightened her, yet excited her to be able to reach new limits.
Time sped like a rocket blasting into space. Everything felt so fast to a point that she couldn't remember what was going on, but that didn't matter to her. The exit was near, and all she knew now that she was so close to her destination; to her freedom that she finally would receive for a little while. I'm so close! Come on legs! You can do it!
All she remembered next was the blinding light of the sun, and everything blurred after that.

John and Collin stared down each other for what felt like hours. Nothing really had been done, and John noticed that Collin didn't see anything "wrong" with the picture now. His sly grin formed across his features as his thoughts blasted his brain, as if everyone in the school could hear. He has no idea that she had left. He's so clueless, and blind apparently. At least she's safe. I don't even want to know what he would do to her. All I know is that he definitely isn't the type that respects women.
He focused his attention back at Collin, "You really are sick, you know that? I don't know what the heck you were wanting to do with Katie, but I don't want to find out. All I need to know is that you need to stop with whatever you're doing to make her afraid of you. I don't even care what kind of past you two have had together. No one deserves to be treated as if they are nothing. Everyone deserves some sort of respect for who they are."
Collin nodded, grinning wider than John could ever comprehend could happen, "I agree with you totally; John, is it? Respect is what many of us human mortals want in our lives; to be respected "for who we are." Though I believe that some require more respect than others; especially if they're higher up than we are."
John already knew where this was going, "You're talking about yourself, aren't you?"
He chuckled, "Clever man. There seems to be a larger brain in that head than I had previously suspected. Good job. You've impressed me," he then continued his speech. "Anyway, as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted..." he seemed to be in deep thought, either pretending or thinking sincerely. "Ah, yes. I was saying how some of us need more respect more than others. Do you want to know why that is?"
"No, but I doubt you would listen to my answer anyway."
"Because superiority is the best quality of what this world needs. It's necessary for the world to prosper in its intelligence, so we can rebuild a much greater and powerful world."
"How are you going to manage making a "perfect world" as you have been telling me. How will you convince a whole world of being superior, and have them go against each other at the same time? You do realize that this will cause utter chaos for the world instead of peace. Do you really want that?"
Collin laughed hysterically, "You're trying to make it sound terrible. That's cute. Not really. It's actually really pathetic. This isn't as terrible as you claim for it to be, John. Besies, we need a few sacrifices to be able to create something better. That's just how life works. I would assume you would know that by now, or are you too innocent to understand that?"
John wasn't impressed, "That doesn't make it any better than you think you're making it sound. You are forcing everyone to become what you want them to be. That's not what life should and need to be. If it was, no one wouldn't do what they do today. They wouldn't rebel, they wouldn't act differently than anybody else. We would all be the same. In my opinion, that would be boring. If you want everyone to be the same, there's basically no point of living at that point."
Collin folded his arms, "Exactly. Why live a world where you can't choose from when you could just sweep your existence out of this world. Why do you think this is a great plan? You still have a choice; a choice where no one will have to deal with people like you again. Doesn't that sound great? There will be peace at last. For those of you who do not leave, you will end up getting the treatment you deserve. You'll be squished under our boot in no time."
John tilted his head slightly, "Man, you really thought this out through, didn't you? Well thought out, dude," he clapped as if Collin was a star of the show, but only put in half to little to know effort of what he was doing. There was zero effort in his facial expressions, and he yelled it out loud and clear for Collin to see. I just hope I'm giving enough time for Katie to escape.

Katie had finally reached her car that was parked in the farthest parking lot spot that was part of the school. "Why did I ever decide to park this far away? Oh wait," she laughed insanely to herself, "because some idiots wouldn't let me park closer, and by the time I got them off my tail, majority of the closer parking lots were full, and I was almost late for my first class of the day today because of them. This school is stupid. Everyone here is stupid. They only care about themselves."
She rambled on about her life, and how much she was hating everything right now. She felt like she was creating a tantrum for herself, but this one could not be solved unless she did something about it. She knew that. "I'm betting that what needs to change in this cruel world is me, and only me. It sounds selfish, I know, but I'm the biggest problem. I've only managed to let people down. Why am I even alive? Do I even matter at this point? Is it selfish for wanting someone to care for you for once?" her head slowly lowered to stare at the ground. She believed then that she knew the final answer to the problem that repeated itself in an infinite cycle, "If they want me gone, I'll give them their request willingly."
