Chapter 25: Ohh Prince Edward..
Chapter 25: Ohh Prince Edward..
It's been a few days since we found out about Ren's true character. Of course, he hasn't been at school as of late. The teachers always asked about his whereabouts but no one knew where the kid was.
"Well, since I'm done taking attendance, how about we resume reading from our play script?" Mr. Crayer takes out his script, "Now—Gohan, Videl, and Tania, will you all come down to the front of the class please?"
"Yes sir..." We all reply at the same time.
Once we all got to the front, we began to read off from where we left off last time.
Gohan had to go first.
He coughed before reading: "Thou art the truest beauty to thy; Thou shalt come to thy arms."
His character was saying that to Videl's character—Princess Umeyo. I can't lie, I was a little jealous—but only a little.
"Sweet Edward! Why must thou side with her?!" I read with a ridiculous amount of enthusiasm.
Mr. Crayer looked at me with a stern expression. That face was scary...
"Err..." I lose my spot, "Where-"
"Why shalt thee JUST be quiet!" Videl interrupted with an even more ridiculous amount of enthusiasm, "Prince Edward loves me and thus shalt do as thout should."
I had to read her line over again to make sure this girl wasn't talking to me like that in her tone of voice. To my great "delight", Videl was actually skipping over one of my lines.
I decided to ignore this action and listened as Gohan read over his parts. After him, Videl spoke again until finally my line was next.
"Doth thee not knowest thy true... err..." I pause and just thought of the most random thing, "Mr. Crayer, I'm sorry, but why do we have to read a script that's in the Shakespearean language? I don't even know what these characters are saying. I mean, what the heck does thee, thy, doth, and all those other weird words supposed to mean?"
"Tania...!" Gohan gave me a "Just don't question this" kind-of-look.
I guess I should've just stayed quiet also because Mr. Crayer had the most irritated look on his face. This dude did not stop glaring at me like I had just murdered his mother. Some of the students snickered as this incredibly intense moment brushed by.
"Tania—you have two choices: either stop complaining and read your part or give someone else your part and fail the class."
"I shalt just read, sir!" I spoke in the Shakespearean language in hopes of not losing my part in the play.
It seemed to work as Crayer smiled with satisfaction.
I groaned and tried to find my line.
"Err... Princess Umeyo... though thou doth steal Prince Edward from thee, thy shalt not win..." My voice sounded dry and not as enthusiastic as when I first started reading my lines. I then yawn.
Mr. Crayer seemed annoyed by my behavior but as the hour went on, he grew rather tolerant of it. Finally, the bell had rung and it was time for the teachers to switch classrooms. I head straight over to Gohan.
"That... was exhausting." I say.
The teen only smiled, "Yeah, but that was pretty cool."
"Eh?" I sweatdrop, "What was so cool about this play?"
"Well—"
"All right children, take your seats!" Our history teacher demands as soon as she walked in.
We do as she says and go to our seats.

It was now after school—Gohan, Videl, and I all headed to Mount Paozu to go help Videl how to fly. Ugh...
Gohan had all the time in the world to try and get that girl to bring out her energy. Meanwhile, I noticed Goten sneaking around and watching the two intently. I fly over to him and poke his shoulder. He screamed and looked back.
"Oh! I didn't know it was you, Tania!" He laughed awkwardly as he rubbed the back of his head.
"What're you doing over here, Goten?" I squat down, "Don't you know Gohan's busy?"
"He's always busy..." The boy whines.
I sigh and ruffle the kid's hair, "Hey, maybe I can play with you until Gohan's free."
"What? Really? You will, Tania?!"
"Yeah," I nod, "Why not?"
Goten grabs my hand and drags me over to a certain area, "I saw a whole bunch of bugs over here! Let's go socialize with them!"
I sweatdrop.
Socialize? That's a pretty big word for Goten...

It had to have been sundown when Gohan came flying over to Goten and I. He quickly separated the two of us and told me that he had succeeded in teaching Videl to learn how to control energy and to float. I congratulated him but realized that he had been alone with the girl for hours.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
I shake my head and smile, "Oh nothing."
Gohan suddenly leans closer and looks into my eyes. I completely go red in the face as he does so.
"Hmm," He cups his chin.
My eyes grow wider.
"You seemed bothered." He told me.
I step a few feet back and say nothing. Gohan wore his blue gi with a red sash tied around his waist. Whenever he wore this outfit, I'd get weak in the knees. He was just so handsome and muscular in it.
"Tania..."
"It's nothing, Gohan!" I blurt, "Where's Videl? Isn't she supposed to be with you?"
"Oh Videl? She went home a while ago."
"Really? Then what was you doing since then?"
Gohan scratched his cheek, "I was actually thinking about if Dad and everyone else got any leads on Wisheater."
"That's right!" I grow out of my shyness and run pass Gohan, "I gotta ask Goku about that!"
"Tania wait! Lemme grab Goten and we'll get going!" Gohan yells.
"No I can't wait that long! Goten is hard to bring home once he's playing with bugs! I'll just go on ahead!" I yell back.
I then lift my feet off the ground and head towards the house. When I got there, I open the door and scan the kitchen for Goku.
ChiChi was just finishing up making dinner and was setting the plates and silverware down on the table. Immediately, my stomach growled and I took a seat at my spot. A few moments later, Gohan and Goten joined and took their seats. Gohan sat next to me as usual and asked where his father was.
"Your father went off with Piccolo to who knows where but promised to be back for dinner." ChiChi answers.
Gohan and I sigh but grabbed our chopsticks, thanked ChiChi for the meal, and began eating. It was maybe ten minutes later when Goku showed up. He brought Piccolo along with him inside.
"Goku!" I set my chopsticks down and stand up with my hands on the table, "Did you get any leads on my sword?!"
Goku scratched the back of his head, "Sorry but we didn't get anything yet."
"Actually, I don't know why we haven't thought of this before, but there is a way of finding that Ren guy." Piccolo spoke.
"There is?!" I gasp, "How?"
Piccolo had his arms crossed and closed his eyes, "Dende has the ability to see everyone on this planet. However, you two never told us exactly what the boy looked like."
I fell over.
"That's all we had to do to get a location on that guy?" Gohan joins in the conversation.
Piccolo nods.
I scramble back onto my feet, "We could've BEEN found the guy!"
"Find who?" Goten asks as he finished chewing on his rice.
Oh Goten...
"Err, don't worry about it, Squirt," Gohan tells him, "Just finish up eating, okay?"
Goten obediently does as he's told and surprisingly doesn't speak another word.
The rest of us continue to talk until finally Goku transported the four of us to the lookout. We meet up with Dende and tell him our plan. I then describe Ren as best as I could remember.
Dende then walked to the edge of the palace and squeezed his eyes shut. His antennas pointed in numerous spots.
"Blonde hair, green eyes, short hair..." He says to himself, "Wears the minorikai on his wrist."
"Also, he has scars on his fingers!" I add in another detail.
It took a few minutes until Dende finally pinpointed someone.
"GOT HIM!" He announced.
Piccolo, Goku, Gohan, and I all look at the guardian of earth with wide eyes.
"Give us the location and Goku will transport us there!" I tell Dende.
The guy nodded and we all rest our hands on Goku as he placed his fingers on his forehead.
"The location is..."
