Chapter 20: The Golden Warrior Is...

REN'S P.O.V

"Spit it or else!" Videl stands in front of my locker waiting for a answer.

"The Golden Warrior was always in the same classroom as us. The person you're looking for... is Gohan." I speak the truth.

"WHAT?!" Videl slams her hand against a locker, "Stop lying to me!"

"I'm telling the truth."

"But... Gohan can't even fight and his hair isn't blonde and his eyes aren't even blue."

"You would be surprised about what him and Tania have been hiding from you. In fact, you would be VERY surprised." I smile.

Videl cracked her knuckles, "How about you begin telling me all that you know!"

"I'll tell you a few things but not everything..."

GOHAN'S P.O.V

About a couple hours passed since Tania got angry with me and left. I'm currently searching for her but must rely on my eyes to do the job for me since the girl lowered her ki low enough for me to not sense her too well. Dad is also helping but so far, we aren't having any luck.

"Gohan!" Piccolo's voice suddenly speaks with me telepathically.

"Is that you, Piccolo?"

"Yeah, it's me." He confirms, "Listen up! I ran into Tania in a remote area. From the talk we just had, she's very troubled."

"About what?" I ask.

"Why don't you just search for my ki and bring yourself here. Tania has a few words to say to you."

"Um, all right. I'll be right there." I place my fingers on my forehead and search for Piccolo's ki.

I find the signature and zap myself to it. The place I appeared had already approached nighttime and the area felt cold and lonely. Tania was on top of a boulder looking away from me. I smile upon seeing that she was all right.

"Tania..." I break the silence, "I'm glad to see that you're okay."

"Mhm." She mumbles.

I scratch my head, "Hey um, I'm sorry for-"

"Don't apologize." Piccolo cuts me off, "She already knows that what she saw was nothing more than a dream."

"What? A dream? What do you mean?"

"The enemy put her in a trap. He somehow got her to dream about a few of her subconscious fears. When you got her to wake out of it, she was still traumatized by it."

So if she was yelling about me for thinking that I have feelings for Videl, does that mean she dreamed about us two being together?

"Um, Piccolo. Not that I don't want you around or anything but can you give Tania and I a moment to ourselves please for right now?" I ask.

"Sure." Piccolo flies off some other direction.

After he left, Tania didn't look at me. I sighed and opened my mouth to say something.

"Sorry... Gohan." She speaks before I do.

I blink a few times before realizing she apologized unexpectedly.

"In that weird reality... I was back in my world and-"

"You're world?! But how?"

"That Mamoru guy did something to me after Wisheater brought me over to him." Tania continued, "I couldn't counter what he did and somehow ended in my world, Gohan."

"About Wisheater... Is it alright?"

"Mamoru has my sword... I couldn't get Wisheater back."

"I see..." I respond, "But hey, there's always still the chance that Wisheater will return whether we bring it back or not."

Tania drifted her eyes to the ground, "I think we'll reunite with Wisheater too but I don't think the road will be easy."

"Yeah..."

The area grew quiet again.

"When I yelled at you back there... I did it because of that dream thing." Tania talks, closing the silence.

I listened attentively to the next few words she said.

"I was dreaming about my world. You were in it and I had saw you pretty much greeting someone and thought you were speaking and approaching me. But... you went running through me and ran up to Videl who was behind me then I saw you hug and kiss her right after."

"Are you serious, Tania?" I get surprised, "I did that?!"

Tania nodded, "You did... and right in front of me too. I had a front row seat to be honest..."

I clench my fist.

Mamoru... That jerk. Messing with my girlfriend's emotions like that...! He'll get what's coming to him.

"I'm sorry... for what happened." I apologize, "But what happened was nothing but a dream. You know I wouldn't hurt you like that, Tania."

The girl looked up and smiled a small smile, "Thanks, Gohan. I know what you're saying is true. It's just... what I dreamt back there, I can't help but wonder if we'll last long as a couple."

"Of course we will!" I reassure her, "I don't see anything or anyone tearing us apart!"

"..."

Grabbing Tania by the hand, I pull her up and wrap my arms around her body.

"Nothing ever happened between Videl and I. Nothing ever will." I say.

"But-"

"Nothing." I hold on Tania tighter.

I could feel a small nod against my chest. This let me know that Tania had believed the words I spoked.

VIDEL'S P.O.V

This couldn't be true... No way!

I flop onto my bed and clenched my pillow.

No way Gohan could possibly be the Golden-Haired Warrior guy who protected me so much in the past few months now. There's just no way!

My grasped tightened and all logic seemed to just jump out a window.

Gohan isn't someone who looks strong. He's wimpy and maybe even Sharpner could wipe the floor with him. Besides, even Tania said that he just likes to keep his nose in the books. Could that have been a lie though? Would Tania really lie to me like that to my face.

"Videl, Sweetheart!" I hear Dad knocking outside my door, "It's time we head off somewhere, don't you think? Being inside all day is boring! We need to show our faces to the camera."

"Maybe later." I reply.

"What? Are you sure?"

"Yes, Dad!"

"Well tell me when you're ready to go and we'll bust out of here like the superstars we are! Maybe wear a few gold and fancy suits..." Dad says as his footsteps grew faint.

I smile a little.

Oh Dad...

I sit myself up and stretch. Nothing has really been going good since the beginning of the school year. Ever since that dumb SaiyaSquad geeks popped out of nowhere, the cops been calling me in less and less with each and every day. Now it's gotten to that point where I have to practically have to run into a random crime myself and fight.

*ring ring*

My phone was vibrating on my bed. On the screen, the caller was shown to be Erasa. I pick up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Videl, you need to get over by the part two blocks away from my house quick!" The blonde speaks really fast.

"Why there?" I ask.

"Just get over here quick or else you'll miss it!"

I sigh, "All right, I'll meet you there shortly,"

"Great! See you then."

Erasa hangs up and I get myself out of bed.

What is so urgent that she needs me to be over by her place if there's no crime?

"Cool! You made it just in time, Videl." Erasa and I meet up at the park.

"Yeah." I reply, "Why did you want me to be here anyway? Did something happen?"

"Of course! Something big!"

"Hm?"

"Just follow me!" The blonde grabs my wrist and leads me to a certain area behind thick bushes.

We duck and Erasa peaks out a bit then stops and turns to me.

"What's going o-"

Immediately, Erasa holds her hand over my mouth then hushes me.

"Be very quiet." She tells me, "Just peak out from this bush and you'll see why I brought you here."

I nod and she moves her hand away. I move a few twigs and see what's in front of me.

"Huh? Is that- No way! What's Tania and Gohan doing at a park?" My eyes widen.

Erasa giggles. "Isn't it obvious? They're having a picnic."

I rub my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing things. The two was dressed casually but seemed as though they were having a deep conversation. However, I couldn't quite make out what they were saying.

"Videl..." My friend speaks with a quiet tone, "Remember how Sharpner kept telling us that he thinks that something fishy is going on between Gohan and Tania?"

"Yeah... What's your point?"

"Well... What if... They're on a date right now?"

I look down.

On a date?

"Come on, Sharpner is probably making things up." I tell the blue-eyed girl.

"I'm starting to think that he's telling the truth, Videl."

"Why do you think that?

"Because... Remember that day when Sharpner and Tania told everyone that they were dating? Do you remember how Gohan responded to that?"

I think back. The scenario replayed fresh in my mind. The words Gohan spoke and of course, his actions.

"He told everyone in class that he was Tania's actual boyfriend."

Erasa snapped her fingers, "Exactly."

I look closely at the suppose cousins interacting with one another. Tania was talking and Gohan was listening. Reading Tania's body movements, it seemed as though she was worrying about something. Gohan appeared the same way also.

Just what are they talking about?

Suddenly, the two scoot closer to one another. Erasa got very focused and even took a camera out.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"I gotta take a picture if something suspicious is going on with them."

"Do whatever you want then." I reply.

Frankly, I didn't want to stop Erasa from doing what she was about to. I wanted to know the truth behind Gohan and Tania as much as she did.

Are those two really hiding something? Could Sharpner have been telling the truth about seeing them being romantic? Could Ren be right about Gohan being the new hero in town?

This moment right now was going to be the answer to at least Sharpner's suspicions. This moment would tell us once and for all if Gohan and Tania are actually not cousins and that they are in fact, dating as boyfriend and girlfriend.

They are right next to each other; smiling and locking eyes. Tania brushes away a few strands of hair out her face.

Gohan stares at her lips and moves his lips down towards her own. I bite my lip and felt queasy.

Is Gohan really taken?

"AHHH!" A scream makes me jump.

Erasa was swatting at a honeybee that had flew around her. The look of terror on her face made me glad I wasn't in her shoes.

"GO AWAY!" She screams louder, "GET AWAY FROM ME!"

Finally, the girl's leg gets caught in the bushes. She falls backwards and was now in plain sight. I watch as Tania and Gohan gasp upon seeing one of their classmates sabotaging their moment.

"Erasa!" Gohan calls and comes to her aid.

He was able to swat the bee away and helped the blonde to her feet.

"What happened?" The young man asks.

While he was distracted, I attempt to crawl away but bumped into Tania.

She gave me a questionable expression.

"So, what are you guys doing here?" She asks with a raised eyebrow.

I stand up and tighten my gloves.

"How about you guys tell me what's really going on between-"

"Tania." Gohan calls while Erasa walked behind him.

"Hm?"

A napkin was on his hand. He used it to wipe something off the corner of Tania's lips.

"There, I got it." Gohan finishes, "I was trying to wipe that off before but Erasa just fell near that bush suddenly."

Tania appeared embarrassed but thanked Gohan anyways for his assistance.

I placed my hand on my face; I felt like an idiot.

That's why he was so close to her... He was trying to get some sauce off her lips with a napkin... How did I not notice the napkin in his hand the entire time?

"Erasa, you alright?" I go over to my friend.

She nods, "Yeah but I'm all dirty!"

I giggle then lean to her ear and whisper, "Nothing happened with those two. I think they just wanted to eat right after sch-"

I quickly remember that Tania and Gohan weren't actually in school today then turn around immediately.

"Wait a minute, why weren't you guys at school today?!"

"Oh!" Gohan begins to rub the back of his head, "Uh..."

"I'm waiting!" I cross my arms.

Gohan looks to Tania but she seemed just as hesitant to answer my question.

"Move it, Brats! Get out the way!"

We all turn. A truck with two passengers was speeding our way quickly. Gohan grabs me while Tania gets Erasa and hops out of the way.

The vehicle swerved and was now heading towards a tree. I realize that it was too late to save the men as they were only a few feet away from it while I was a yard away.

I close my eyes and wait for the sound of an explosion. When it didn't come, I open my eyes to see that the truck had stopped moving and was practically an inch from the tree.

However, Tania and Gohan were nowhere to be found. I look all around but they weren't anywhere.

"Erasa! Did you see where Gohan and Tania went?"

The girl shook her head, "No."

The two passengers ran out their vehicles. I tell them to stop and they turn around to see me.

"Videl Satan!" They cried.

Both came over and shook my hand.

"It's an honor to meet the champion's daughter." They both say.

"It's nice that you two are okay but how did your truck stop from almost hitting that huge tree?" I ask.

"That Golden-Haired Warrior guy showed up!"

My eyes widen, "What! He did?!"

They nod their head.

"He stopped the vehicle by placing his foot on the front of it. The truck stopped immediately! It was a miracle."

"And just what was this Golden Warrior wearing?"

"He was wearing casual clothing. You know like a dark green T-shirt and black sweats with tennis shoes." One man says, "His hair was blonde and spiky."

When they said that, I was confident about what I was assuming.

Gohan was just wearing the EXACT same clothing. I can't describe how he was able to get his hair looking blonde but in my gut I just know he IS... The Golden-Haired Warrior!

A/N- Looks like Gohan is busted! Videl is very sure of herself. A immediate crisis had Gohan forced to save a life in front of the champ's daughter. What will happen next?

P.S - I wanted to try using that multi-animation that wattpad added. I think it looks super cool so I'll be using that a lot probably. It reminds me of what I could use when Quizilla was still a website and I put pictures on the chapters that Posted! Anyway please share your thoughts and vote! Thanks for reading :)
