(HAHA IT'S FINALLY BACK,, TAKE THAT WRITERS BLOCK!!!!1! Some fun things are gonna be happening in the next few chapters too >:])
=Nathan's POV=
Moose and I walked together in silence, which was an uncommon thing for both of us. The feeling in the air was heavy. I could tell we were thinking similar things, how Sabre could be in grave danger after just disappearing like that.
"Do you think he was kidnapped?" Moose asked quietly, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked to him. "Duh, there's no way he'd just run off without warning, right? ..But then again, this is Sabre we're talking about, so scratch that." I replied.
"Come on, man, that just raises more questions!" Moose complained. I huffed, looking down at the forest floor as he continued. "Like, why would he run off? Why wouldn't he tell anyone? Sabre only disappears on his own if something's seriously wrong!"
"Exactly why I think he was kidnapped." I then replied, looking back over to Moose. He glanced at me, then forward again. "This may sound kinda messed up, but I kinda hope you're right. Sabre getting kidnapped is better than him disappearing on his own, and that's saying something." He muttered. I nodded in agreement.
We continued in silence for a few more minutes, making our way through the forest as it turned from dark oak to birch. I glanced upwards, the warm sun filtering through the leaves and causing an almost ethereal glow to the biome. I hopped over a fallen log, little mushrooms growing out of the dead bark.
Moose followed after, however tripped over the log as the sound of lightning went off in the distance. I helped him up, the both of us looking in the direction the noise came from. We glanced at each other, then ran.
"This could be Sabre, dude! Let's go!" Moose shouted as we made our way around the tall trees. "Or it could be something worse, but I'm willing to take a chance with this!" I replied. The two of us soon came to a clearing, where the one and only Sabre was standing, holding the hand of a smaller entity dressed in black.
"Sabre!!" Moose shouted, smiling. He ran towards the two happily, the entity hiding behind Sabre as our friend waved to greet us. "Guys!" He called, "Guess who just made a new friend out of what could've been an enemy!"
I paced over, smiling. "Alright, you can introduce us, but first.." I grabbed his shoulders, "WHERE WERE YOU!? You had the rest of us worried sick! My GOSH, Sabre!"
Sabre let out a nervous laugh, shrinking under my glare as the entity hid behind him. "It's complicated, uh- first, let go of me, and then we can sit down and explain?" He tried. I let him go and sat, Moose sitting next to me, Sabre across from me as his new friend hid behind him.
"So, how long was I gone for you guys?" He asked.
"About an hour? We've been travelling for maybe fifteen or twenty minutes now." Moose answered.
"Ah, so not too bad.. For me it's only been ten minutes."
"WHAT!?"
Sabre laughed at our reaction, waving us off. "It's no big deal, really. Let me introduce my friend, okay?" He moved to the side, waving the entity into the group. They seemed hesitant, but with a reassuring smile from Sabre, they inched forward into the group circle.
The entity wore a clean black suit, a white dress shirt and red tie accommodating the look. Grey gloves covered their hands, and they wore a black and white peppermint-like mask over their face. Their hair was dark grey and wavy, stopping just above their shoulders.
"This is my new friend, Memory Steve. He's kinda antisocial, and a little nervous, so please respect his boundaries, such as not being loud and eccentric, Moose." Sabre explained. Moose let out an offended gasp, his hand going over his heart.
"Me-? What about Nathan? He's loud and eh-- what's the word?"
"Eccentric."
"Gesundheit. Now what was the word?"
"Whatever, just- Be calm around him, okay?" Sabre said, exasperated. Moose and I nodded in agreement. "So moving on, Memory has this boss, right? The boss had Memory- who has powers centered around memories, if you couldn't figure that out already, -erase the memories of our past lives. I disappeared because he took me to his dimension, the Memory Dimension, and it's only been a short time for me cause he kept erasing my recent memories. Luckily, though, I was able to convince him onto our side and befriend him, and he took me back here!"
"Ohhhhhh.." Moose and I nodded in understanding. I smiled at Memory, stretching my hand out to him. "Nice to meet you, Memory. I'm Nathan, and this is Moose." I introduced. Memory hesitated, but then shook my hand. "It's nice to meet you too.." He said quietly.
Sabre then stood, putting his hand on a hip. "We should head back to the others, yeah? I'm sure they miss me." He joked. The rest of us stood. "Moose and I can lead the way. Come on!" I turned in the direction we came from, gesturing for the others to follow.
=Sabre's POV=
As Nathan led the group back to the others, I began to lag behind a bit. I was a bit worried for Memory, honestly. I remembered him worrying about how his boss, his father, could find out about him working for us and do something horrible to him. I placed by hand on my elbow nub, rubbing it nervously.
I looked up, snapping out of my thoughts, when I nearly tripped over a tree root. I looked around, not seeing the group anymore. "..Guys!? Guys, where are you!?" I called. No response. "GUYSSS!! IT'S SABRE!!!" Still nothing. I began to get even more worried.
I'm lost again.
