(Quick AN: This is the second to last chapter for this month. After I publish Part 2, Chapter 16, I'll be taking a month's hiatus from posting so I can work on the chapters in Part 3. Hope you guys understand!! Some interesting things will be happening in Part 3 :])

=Sabre's POV=

I landed on the ground, collapsing in the cold snow around me. I shivered as snowflakes fell and landed on my clothes and hands. Where was I? I glanced around, looking for my friends. Nobody.

I looked around, trying to figure out my surroundings. I was in an ice spikes biome, the tall pillars of frozen water towering over me. I stood. There was a thin cloud cover, which was causing the snowfall.

I walked a bit, bewildered and confused. Where did my friends go? Where was I? I stumbled, barely catching myself from tumbling off a cliff. I fell on my butt.

"..." I picked myself up, looking back over the edge. There was another ledge, the cliffside facing me. Built into that cliffside was a huge balcony of packed ice. Glowing shards of ice floated above the cliff, ice spikes looming over the balcony itself.

When I squinted, I saw a relatively blue figure on the balcony. They were staring.. at me...

I jolted awake, gasping for air. "R-Rainb-" I was cut off with a hug. Rainbow held me tightly, mostly hugging my head, which I was fine with. Just as long as we were together.

Rainbow pulled away from the hug and slapped me. "Ow-!" "DON'T YOU DARE EVER DO THAT TO ME AGAIN, YOU BIG DUMB CHICKEN!!" He cried out. I whined and rubbed my cheek. "Do what..?" I mumbled.

Rainbow huffed. "You just followed that idiot Galaxy though a portal, didn't even bother to stop him, nearly get caught by the enemy twice, and then when you finally show up an hour after the others, you pass out for an entire day!!"

I swung my legs over the side of the bed. "Sorry.." I mumbled. I was out for an entire day? That's odd, I just saw the ice spikes.. maybe it was a dream. It felt like one of my dreams.

I got up and stretched. "I'ma change, alright?" I told Rainbow. He nodded and left the room for my privacy. I changed into a grey hoodie, black pants, and brown boots. I left the room and saw Rainbow standing in the hallway, facing away from me.

I approached silently, then grabbed him around his waist. "Rawr!!" I yelled jokingly. He shrieked and flailed around, so I put him down and he punched me in the gut.

I fell down in pain. "Oof-" Rainbow was strong, despite being so tiny.

Hmph.

"Don't do that!! Unless I want you to-" Rainbow said. "Yeah-" I replied. He helped me up. "You're probably hungry. Let's go get some food!" He said. I was dragged to the kitchen, where Galaxy was making a sandwich. He smiled. "Hi Sabre!!"

"Hey, Galaxy." I replied. He handed me the sandwich. "Want it? It's peanut butter and jelly." He offered. I smiled and took it. "Thanks, Gal." I replied. Rainbow huffed. "You already have a nickname for him!?" He pouted.

"Oh please, I have plenty of nicknames for you!" I defended. "Rain, Rainy, Raindrop, midget-" "Are you kidding me!? I'm not that short!!" He interrupted. I laughed as he used his fist to bonk me on the head. Galaxy laughed as well, only for Rainbow to grab a baguette from the bread basket and hit him with that too.

=Elemental Steve's POV=

I watched over the house the humans had built from the In-between. Nightmare had disappeared. Rainbow had told me, after Sabre, Galaxy, and Shark saved me, that Nightmare had escaped the testing facility.

I huffed as I waited for Nightmare to at least come in sight of the house. I couldn't sense him, so he must have been masking his presence from me. I must have really messed up with his crown. I felt a tear slip from my eye.

Why..?

I wasn't that horrible to him, was I..?

I left the portal room, heading to my laboratory. I couldn't wait to get rid of my brother. And I think.. I believe I have a way.
