Part 2; Chapter 14 - The Time Dimension

=Galaxy Steve's POV=

Shark and Sabre ran over to me, tugging me to crouch as lightning sounded. "What's happening?" I whispered. Sabre glanced at me. "I think this is the Time Dimension, where Time Steve lives..." He replied softly.

I used my hands to pin my puffy hair back, peeking out of the hiding spot. There was a guy with a cool coat with a hood facing away from us. I turned to Sabre again. "He doesn't look like a 'Time Steve'..!" I whispered, only to get shushed by Sabre, who was also peeking out.

I looked back out again, watching as the guy turned around. ..He was a walking clock. That made sense.

I watched him walk over to the weird pillar thing, lightning summoning around him. Maybe he was using it to sense something? What if he was sensing us!? That's not good-

The clock man walked back out to the floor clock, grabbing the minute hand and pushing it counter clockwise. I thought it was supposed to go the other way? The portal wall clock's time reflected the floor clock's time, so that was cool.

He turned and walked though the portal once he put it on 3:00. Whether it was AM or PM, I didn't know. We came out from our hiding spot, going over to the floor clock.

"Hey, you think the time on the clock affects where we'll teleport?" I said. It made sense in my mind. "Actually, that's really smart!" Sabre praised. I felt so proud of myself! Sabre called me smart!

"Well, we don't wanna go where that Time guy went, right?" Shark said. Sabre and I nodded in agreement.

"Maybe we should push this back an hour." Sabre said, pushing on the minute hand. Shark and I joined him, making a whole circle around the floor clock.

We looked up to see the portal clock now said 2:00. I smiled. "Let's go!!" I giggled, jumping though the portal. I heard Sabre call my name before going though.

I fell flat on my face in front of... Quartz and bars? I looked up to see Elemental!! I got up. "Elemental!! I'm here to rescue you!" I proclaimed, starting to pull on the bars.

"Wait, Galaxy, no!!" He shouted. I stopped. "I'm glad you're here, but if you break this thing I'm very sure I'll drop right into that lava below me!" I looked down to see what he was talking about. He was suspended midair by nothing but some invisible force that was probably generated by this cage.

Sabre and Shark came in behind me. "Galaxy!" Sabre shouted, "Stop blindly jumping into porta- Elemental?" I looked back up at Elemental. "He's over lava! We can't break it or else he'll fall and he can't move!" I explained.

Sabre came over to look over the situation as Shark looked around the area. I noticed that this area was very similar to the previous, even having the same hiding spot.

I went over and ducked down. "Woop!" I said playfully. Suddenly, though, there was lightning, causing Sabre and Shark to quickly join me. I peeked out from behind the hiding spot like last time, seeing that Time guy again.

"You won't get away with this, Time Steve!" Elemental shouted. Time glanced up at Elemental for a moment, before turning back to his portal clock and adjusting it a bit. Elemental muttered some insults before Time whipped around, shaking with rage.

"What is wrong with you!? Can't we just get along for once!?" He scolded, shaking his fist. Elemental scoffed. "Oh please, like we would even have the same interests. Why don't you just destroy me already, huh?" He shot back. Time turned and went back through the portal as a response.

Sabre, Shark and I came out from behind the magma. "What was that all about?" Shark asked. "If he's such a bad guy, he would've destroyed you already, right?" Elemental sighed. "He wants to prolong my suffering. Being out of the In-Between for so long is quite tiring and painful, you know."

Come to think of it, Elemental did look really tired. "Galaxy, Shark, I need you two to each grab a hold of Elemental's hands. As soon as I break these bars, pull him forward, okay?" Sabre said. I grabbed Elemental's lava arm as Shark grabbed his watery one.

Sabre pulled out his pickaxe, taking a few swings at the bars. They broke quickly, Shark and I yanking Elemental forward. We helped him regain his balance as he stumbled over his feet. "Are you okay, Elemental?" Sabre asked, checking him for wounds.

"I'm okay, I'm okay.. I'm just sore." Elemental reassured. "Please, let's leave as quickly as possible. I must return to the In-Between."

Shark and I helped him though the portal, arriving back in the Overworld. "Do you need any help getting back to the In-Between?" Shark asked. Elemental shook his head. "I'll be fine on my own. Thank you, both of you, and Sab- where's Sabre?"

I looked around. "Sabre?" I called. No reply. Elemental groaned. "As much as I want to stay to wait, I must go. I could run out of energy and potentially create a mild devastation..." He mumbled. I had no idea what that meant, but I nodded anyways. "We'll wait for Sabre. Go get some sleep. And maybe a sandwich." I reassured him.

"Still don't know what a sandwich is, but thank you. I'll be off." He replied. He walked off, slumping a bit. Poor guy. I turned back to Shark. "Is Sabre back yet?" I asked. "Nope..."
