Hello, I'm back with this fanfiction. I'm sorry that this was on hold for a very long time but the reason for that is because I wanted to finish my other projects. Also, I was having trouble deciding on what the next bit should be but I've decided on this plot after reading some other betrayal fanfiction. Anyways, on with the story.

After the postponing of the tournament, Ash and Serena decided that they should help getting his memories restored. Andrew had been coming up with ways of restoring Ash's memories for the past week and so far, it's been doing pretty well. Having around 70 percent restored was very good and he was excited to remember everything again. Ash decided to go and have a short walk until he can spend some time with Serena. That is until something heavy hit him in the head and he was knocked out cold.

"So how are we going to deal with him?" A female voice asked.

"I've got the perfect plan" A male voice answered.

Later

Ash woke up feeling very light headed, as he opened his eyes, he noticed that there was blood all over his arm. Upon realising this, his head shot up to find a dead body in front of him with a knife lodged into his abdomen. Before he could take in all this information, Officer jenny ran in and put him under arrest. While taking him out, Ash saw Andrew, Serena and Pikachu all surprised to see him like this. Without any hesitation, he was thrown into the police car and was driven off to the detention centre.

"Ash murdering someone?" Serena questioned.

"And it so happens to be one of the tournament's representatives" Andrew exclaimed, "There's something fishy about this"

At the Detention Centre

"You guys believe me, right?" Ash asked.

"Of course we believe you" Dawn exclaimed, "You'd be the last person I know to commit murder"

"And what kind of reason would you want to murder one of the representatives?" Max questioned.

"Well, people might think he killed him in anger by not allowing him to use illegal items" Clemont hypothesised.

"You're not helping big brother" Bonnie screamed.

"Pika, pika pi" Pikachu said worryingly.

"Don't worry buddy, I'm sure Andrew can think of some help" Ash informed.

Just as he said that, Andrew came to the visiting section to tell everyone that he got help. As he said that, three people walked into the room. A man dressed in a blue suit and red tie with black spiky hair, a woman in a purple acolyte robe with long dark hair and a girl in a pink acolyte robe with an odd hairstyle. The man came to the desk and started speaking to Ash.

"Hello there, my name is Phoenix Wright and I'm here to defend you in court" Phoenix introduced, "This is Maya Fey and her younger cousin Pearl"

"So you'll prove that I'm innocent?" Ash asked.

"Of course, not only the fact that it's my job, but I truly believe that you weren't the one who committed the crime" Phoenix added.

"Thank you" Serena thanked shaking his hands since he was willing to defend Ash.

"Hey, get your hands off him, he's Mystic Maya's special someone" the girl cried, clearly showing that she's Pearl.

"Pearl, just because Nick touched a girl's hands doesn't mean he instantly likes them" Maya said stepping in.

"Also, Andrew said that my client is dating her and the fact that I'm way older than her also makes this awkward" Phoenix added.

"As long as you're faithful to Mystic Maya, I will be fine" Pearl said walking off.

"Is she always like this?" Serena asked.

"Yeah, she always wants to make sure Nick stays by my side and not run off with another woman as she said" Maya explained, "He wouldn't do that because we're already dating and there would be no reason for him to go to another girl"

"Can we please just go and investigate the crime scene?" Phoenix asked. With that, everyone else left the detention centre to investigate.

At the crime scene

The group then walked into the crime scene after consulting with the detective in charge. Phoenix stated that it would probably be a bit of trouble in finding who the real culprit of this murder was. That is, until Clemont's glasses shone revealing that he had an idea in mind.

"I have an invention for exactly this situation" Clemont exclaimed, "CLEMONTIC GEAR ON!!!"

"Oh boy" Bonnie sighed.

"Now I'm interested" Andrew said.

Clemont then went into his backpack and pulled out what appeared to be some kind of box that had a radar on top and a screen in the front.

"This is my new invention, I call it the murder clue finder 1000" Clemont said proudly.

"Again, the name isn't working" Bonnie exclaimed.

"I agree, I can come up with much better names than that" Andrew agreed.

"What does it do?" Phoenix asked.

"It scans around an area where a murder took place to see if there are any fingerprints, DNA and all kinds of other things to find the murderer" Clemont explained.

"Wow, amazing" Both Maya and Pearl exclaimed with stars in their eyes.

"Time to turn it on" Clemont said pressing a button.

Clemont's machine then started making a buzzing noise until it changed to a more frequency style noise. It then picked up a signal pointing towards where a bunch of boxes were piled up near a wall. Phoenix gave everyone some gloves to wear and they all investigated that one area. After a few minutes of investigating, Serena and Bonnie found a few things. A few strands of brown hair, a piece of black cloth, a berry and piece of fishing line. Going through the items, not many knew who could be the culprit, that is until Andrew thought of something.

"I think I might know who framed Ash" Andrew exclaimed.

"Who?" Dawn questioned.

"Do any of you know anyone with brown hair, wears black, carries berries and likes fishing?" Andrew asked.

"Wait a second, now I understand" Max realised.

"Me too" Clemont agreed.

"Whom are you referring to?" Phoenix asked.

"It's possible that the traitors framed Ash" Clemont explained.

"That makes sense, Ash humiliated Misty and Iris got disqualified in his battle" Serena stated.

"Wait, I see a surveillance camera over there" Maya pointed out.

Everyone looked to where she was pointing to see a camera placed in the corner of the room. This gave Phoenix an idea that the camera was able to pick up the crime scene. They all ran to the security room to check if the footage was still there but they couldn't find a single clue.

"Drat, either they planned ahead and took the footage or the camera was disabled at the time" Phoenix exclaimed.

"Well, we still have a few clues to help us" Serena informed.
