When my eyes flutter open, it's about 5:30. I feel a hand on my hair, stroking my head, and I look up to see Alaina. She's staring at the fan and looks peaceful and worry-free.

"Hello beautiful." I feel her shiver unconsciously when I whisper in her ear.

"Hey there handsome. Sleep well?" She smiles, turning slightly to look at me.

"Mhm." Best sleep I've ever had. I bury my face in her neck. She turns, fully facing me and wraps her arms tightly around me, and puts her face in my hair. I wrap my arms around her, pulling her even closer, and I feel her smile into my hair.

She pulls back suddenly, and I look up in confusion.

"Riki." She's avoiding eye contact. Never a good sign. I wonder what's wrong?

"What's wrong?"

"What......what does this mean for us?" Her voice is shaking and I see tears rising in her eyes.

"That we love each other." Her eyes rise to meet mine.

"There was never any doubt.....for either of us I can see now....But....Argh, I don't know how to put this?" The sigh she gives breaks my heart. What are we gonna do now?

"Are we just gonna pick up from where we left off or are we gonna start over?" I take her chin in my hand, turning her face back towards mine gently, forcing her to look me in the eye. The blue orbs flicker between mine worriedly.

"Yea...." She's forcing that smile.

"Alaina. I don't know what this means or what's gonna happen. But I do know that I love you and that I'm never letting you go. If you want to start over, we can start over. If you want to continue from we left off, we can pick it right back up. Or if you just want to see how it goes, I'm fine with that. I love you and that's never going to change." I give her a light, feathery kiss.

"Mmm.....Riki, I love you too. I....I want us to be together." My heart soars at this. She feels the same! You know what, I'm gonna do this.....

I smile, making up my mind and reach over to the bedside table. I pick up the chain and ring, taking it off and hold out to her. Her eyes widen.

"Alaina... Will you marry me, again?" Please say yes.

".......Riki...." It comes out strangled and I see tears threatening to fall.

"Alaina. Even if you tell me no or can't give me an answer now, I will wait for you. I will wait for however long it takes. We can wait for this. In fact, we don't even have to do this at all if you don't want to. I just want to be with you." I don't care I just want to be with you.

She smiles, grabbing my hand gently when I go to put the ring back. "Yes......yes Riki yes I will marry you. Again."

"Alaina..." It comes out as a breath out as I try to contain my emotions, slipping the ring on her left ring finger. I can't help it. I kiss her fingers.

"I love you. Forever and always, until the end." I press my forehead to hers, giving her light kisses.

"I....love....you.....too." I look into her eyes and see myself reflected in them.

"I was an idiot and I'm never letting you go again."

"Yes you were. And I won't let you let me go." She lifts my head up and gives me a gentle kiss of her own. We kiss until I hear a growl. Was that her stomach!?

"Dammit." Alaina is grinning and blushing sheepishly, causing me to laugh. She glances at the muffin and now cold coffee, forgotten in the heat of the moment.

She slips out the bed, putting my shirt on, and grabs her food and drink. Damn. She looks amazing. I wolf-whistle and a napkin bounces off my head, leaving me to pout.

"Haha. You deserve it." And with that she starts eating.

After eating, Alaina went differing in her bag, looking for clothes. I went ahead and got dressed. When I turned around, Alaina had just tucked my shirt into her jeans. I laughed.

"What?"

"You're adorable." The smile on her face raises my spirits even more. I kiss her forehead and went to dig another shirt out of my bag.

We laid back in the bed after getting dressed. Her head was on my shoulder, and I wrapped one arm around her.

"How's Ibuki doing?"

"She's doing great. She's the main reason me and dad are actually able to carry out a conversation about something other than work."

"Good. I'm glad you two have a better relationship."

"Yea. She misses you and she got my ass when she found out you left. Turns out my little sister is not so little." I remember how she chewed me out.

"Anyways I'm glad she's doing well and that you three are all getting along." Alaina smiles up at me.

"So. What have you been up to these past 3 years?" You seemed to have done better than me.

"Well after the first year, which was mostly just me getting a job and reconnecting with them and changing.....Drastically. Kelly wanted to do something to 'change the world'. Well none of us really understood this, but Kelly, well she was the original Lost Kid. She had been doing the whole Robin Hood thing for a few years, but what was Robin Hood without his Merry Men? Well in this case Merry Women and Man. Anyways, she asked us for help and Blondie and En jumped at the chance. Kaylee and I, well we thought about it. Anyways, long story short, we became The Lost Kids-the infamous 'all-female' thieves. From there, I've been a thief. Again. Going around and doing dangerous things and facing dangerous people, and doing thievish things. You know the drill."

"How many times have you been nearly killed? Or blown up? Or shot? Or hospitalized?" I can only imagine what could go wrong.

"More often than I care to admit." She's biting her lip.

"Alaina. What i-"f you get killed?

"Riki. It's part of the job. You know that well enough. We were in plenty of dangerous situations together." She kisses my cheek

There's a knock on the door. We get up and I open it.

Low and behold.....there stands Samantha......and En. He has his arm around her shoulder and she's standing there with the stupidest and happiest grin on her face. Heh.....Wait until you see this. That grin turns into a shocked when I snake my arm around her waist. She holds up her left hand and she squeals, hugging Alaina. En shakes my hand.

"Man, congratulations."

"Thank you. You too."

"Kaylee!!" Samantha and Alaina say at once.

We head down the hall, the girls talking animatedly in front of us.

En quietly breaks the silence between us. "You're one lucky man."

"Yea......I know."

"Actually I don't think you do.... I've known Alaina for a long time. I don't know what went down between you two, it's none of my business, but I do know this- you are the first man she's ever taken back."

I'm about to respond when the girls conversation catches my attention. "So. Who do we set her up with?"

"She's been making googly eyes at Hiro."

"Ooh you're right! Ok Blondie our next mission is to set up Hiro and Kaylee. Riki, do you think you can handle it on Hiro's end." She bats her eyelashes up at me.

"Yes. I got it babe." I smile down at her.

"Aw....he's wrapped around your finger." En teases.

"Yea but you're wrapped around hers." I fired back motioning to Samantha.

Alaina knocks on Kelly's door and she lets us in. When Kaylee sees the four of us, she bounds over and hugs Alaina and Samantha.

"Yes Kaylee, your plan worked."

"For both of us." Kaylee pulls back smiling from the hug.

"Finally. Maybe he'll quit moping around the bar." Takuto smiles at us and I shoot him a death glare. He blushes and mutters,"Idiot lovebirds."

Everyone seems happy and a little shocked that we are back together but they all offer us congratulations and Hiro says something about "knowing this would happen." They all seem happy and unsurprised about Samantha and En. But that's to be expected. The chemistry has been apparent since we met them.

"Ok it's time to get down to business." Kelly says and the meeting begins.

We all find seats around the room. I lean up against the kitchen counter in the room, and pull Alaina to me, wrapping my arms around her waist. I feel her stiffen when I put my chin on her head. She then relaxed and puts her hands over mine and I intertwine out fingers.

"Ok. Tonight we need someone to do a little recon. You'll have to enter the building and check the possible escape routes, the room where the action is supposed to be held and the possible basement. Takuto and En both will be assisting whoever goes." Boss runs over what is needed for tonight.

"Who do you plan on sending?" Samantha asks.

"Well......" Kelly looks down and then straight at Alaina. "Honestly I want Alaina to go." What happen to both of us going?!

"Why me?" Alaina's voice is a higher pitch than normal and I tightens my arms around her.

"It's because you can get along with anyone. You're likable and you can move between high and low class easily. You have and make friends everywhere. We need someone who is able to go in and make friends quickly and find out things. No offense to Sam, but she-"

"I have a high class personality that won't work in this situation.I agree. You should go." Samantha is smiling at Alaina and I can feel her relax a little.

She nods. "What am I going in as?" She squeezes my hand with hers. I feel like she's telling me to calm down and that it'll be alright.

Kelly relaxes and smiles. "You're going in as a maid. You'll be 'cleaning' and listening for info. Maids-"

"Are the best source of info. They are there all the time and usually in the background. No one ever thinks about them and they overhear a lot." Alaina finishes off for her.

"Yes. Takuto and En will guide you through the rooms and keep you out of way. Just do what the head maid says and check the areas as you go and you'll be fine. Samantha's going to help you dress the part." I feel her stiffen again.

Samantha pulls Alaina from my arms and she looks back at me, panicked. I'm not sure what to do so I stand there.

"S-s-Samantha? Um....Let's keep it E for everyone. Please." That's what she's worried about.

"Well. I wouldn't mind a little rated R." I smirk as I see her turn tomato red. Hiro and Kelly are rolling by now, while Takuto is gagging.

"Sh-Shut up!" Alaina makes a b-line for the door, dragging along poor Samantha behind her.

"Takuto's right, ya know." Kenshi tells me. "Maybe now that you have her back, you'll quit moping and maybe more fun."

"Of course I'm right. When aren't I?" Kenshi and I both shoot Takuto a glare, and he just turns back to his computer.

"Well whatever it does to you," we turn to Kelly,"It already had a positive impact on Alaina. That's the first real, heart-felt smile I've seen in her for awhile."

What? "Really?"

"Yea, it usually looks forced or strained or it just never reaches her eyes." En answers, not looking up from his phone.

"Haha ~Guess you two act alike because that's been you for three years Riki~" Hiro says, looking at me.

"Shut up."

When Kelly opens the door, you could hear a pin drop. Her sky blue pearl button-up makes her black hair shine, even if it's in a bun. The light makeup makes her dark blue eyes shimmer in this light. She looks absolutely stunning. Wow. She glances at Samantha, worry written upon her face. She smiles reassuringly.

I quickly stand in front if her, and take off my jacket and cover her shoulders with it, wrapping it around her. "What happen to E for Everyone Samantha?" I can feel my brows furrow.

"*giggle* This is E for Everyone Riki. Alaina just looks that good when she decides to wear something figure flattering." She lightly hits my shoulder.

"Hmph."

"Riki." She squeezes my arm softly, drawing my eyes back to hers. Those beautiful eyes. "I'm fine. I doubt that they are going to do anything worse than annoy the hell out of you so calm down."

"Okay lovebirds, we've got to get her in there soon so come on and load-up. Their maids work at night and the new recruit starts tonight. We've got you set up and you need to be there by 9 and it's 8. Let's go." Kelly, Takuto and En heads towards the door. She gives me a soft peck in the cheek and turns to follow them, I follow behind and I see Kelly give her a look.

"Riki, hon, stay here." She turns to me.

"But-" What if something happens?

"No buts. I'll be back soon. Love you." Alaina reaches up and plants a light kiss on my lips. She turns and follows the others down the hall. When she is out of sight I head back into the room.

Upon entering, I a strong smell assaults me. GAS?! As I fight to stay awake I see people in black suits enter the window. Then all I see is black.

I open my eyes to see a man strung down at me. I'm seated, hands and feet bound along with a gagged mouth. Well, shit.

The man has brown short hair and familiar blue eyes. Who is his sonbitch? Why does he seem so familiar? Even the way his damn head is tilted is ringing a bell.

"Hmm. So you're the famous Yanase." He leans even closer and I draw back slightly, pulling myself straight back in the chair. "Gotta admit....My sister always knew how to pick'em."
