Chapter Two
This vid is awesome too! I wish I could write something as awesome as this! (And some of the visuals are hilarious! {C'mon, Chat on his staff, flying away..... it's so funny!}) Plus the pic is of a certain someone, I thought it'd be good to do a quick sketch (of 45 min. Hehe).
Marinette's POV
I walked with Alya to the Daycare, until I heard screaming. Not just any screaming. The screaming of young children accompanied by maniacal laughter. Alya turned on her phone, as if sensing a new story to put on her blog as I grabbed my purse, ready to hide, let Tikki out, and help. I already had my suspicions that it was an akuma. We started running towards the daycare and what I saw when we got there made my as surprised as any. Hawkmoth is creative....
Third POV Limited (this is the first time I'm writing it this way, and if you don't know what it is, please look it up {I also don't know if I am doing it right or not})
Marinette stared in terror and confusion at what she was witnessing. She looked over and saw Alya doing it too, but she was also videoing it. Mr. Durand (of course, she didn't know that) had been akumatized and was now an unnamed villain controlled by Hawkmoth. The villain was dressed in a white spandex outfit, spotted with words. Cursive writing wound around the man and large sword-sharp pens were magically strapped to his back in the cross stance. In his right hand, he had a book, and his left, empty, but ready to grab the pen/sword at a moment's notice. The man's head was completely covered by the spandex as well, but the words stopped and spiraled around forming the look of a mask and spiraled around his mouth as well. He was standing outside of the daycare with his book being waved at the children, soon turned seniors. The process was peculiar. The book was waved at a child. The child slowly stopped running and words shot from the books' pages. The child would quickly age from themselves to what they would look like in about sixty years, and then continue to try to 'run away'. Marinette let Alya continue to run forward as she slipped behind a tree off to the side of the sidewalk. She prayed that Chat Noir would arrive soon, and let Tikki out. "Tikki, spots on!" Quickly, Marinette transformed into Ladybug and yo-yoed off so she could come in from a different direction. She didn't want to alert her friend of her identity or cause any type of suspicion.
Ladybug swung and landed in front of Alya, making the young blogger stop. "Miss, I need you to leave." Alya was about to argue, but Ladybug wouldn't let that happen. "N- Ahhhhhhh!" Ladybug had grabbed Alya and swung down, back to where they had initially walked from. Ladybug put Alya behind a tree and bush. "Stay here. If you must, you can video from here. Stay safe, bug out."
By the time Ladybug got back to the scene, the villain was gone. Being unable to help the now-seniors, Ladybug sung around the area looking for clues as to where he went. "My lady. What did I miss?" Chat Noir landed gracefully, bowing to me with a smirk on his face, I scowled. "An akuma has been released once again. I'm betting the object is his book. He uses it as a wand and turns children into senior citizens. I was busy helping a blogger out of the way when he left. Now I am trying to find him." Chat's face darkened slightly. He nodded and stood back up. Suddenly, his eyes widened at something behind me and I turned around, ready for an attack. "Ladybug and Chat Noir, heroes of Paris. I am The Author. If you wish to have the precious children of Paris back, you will hand over your miraculous'. The spell will be permanent after midnight. Oh, and I also silenced any input from parents. I suggest surrendering...." My eyes widened slightly at what he said. "What did he do to the adults?! Chat, follow me. I have an idea." I looked at Chat, panicked, but only slightly. I grappled my yoyo and swung over to the news tower, checking the adults as I went. I could hear Chat swinging on his staff next to me. "So... Bugaboo, guess what a week from today is?" I rolled my eyes, but a small smile lit up my face as I swung to the doors of the news station. "How'd you know it was my birthday then? Are you stalking me?" I grew slightly concerned. What if he knew my identity? Chat's eyes widened. "Really?! Why didn't you tell me, my lady? I'm hurt." I smiled a little wider, but internally cursed myself for my slip up. "If I told you my birthday, it'd be almost the same thing as telling you my identity. Chat, I do it to keep us and our loved ones safe. What were you talking about then?" I pushed open the doors and ran up the flights of stairs. "A week from today is our six month anniversary." I rolled my eyes. "Only you would keep track of our monthly anniversaries Chat." I giggled slightly and then calmed myself, as we were outside the entrance to the news floor. "Ok. You know the drill. Stay on your guard. We go in on three. One...... Two....... Three!" I kicked down the door, and saw.....
Nothing. I looked around, confused. "Kitty, where is he?" Chat slowly lowered his guard and shrank his staff. He stashed it behind his back, and fully turned towards me. "I have no idea, my lady. I was sure he would be here too." Suddenly, the Author's voice echoed throughout the room. "What do we have here? A bug and a cat? An odd combination, don't you think?" I mustered up my courage as Chat rearmed himself with his staff. "We are neutral in our conflicts, but we both seem to have bad relationships with paper. Isn't that right Chat?" Chat looked at me with mischief. "You are correct, my lady. Us cats are fur-ocious when we come across a meows-placed book." I shook my head at his terrible, but funny, puns. "Not now kitty." The Author appeared on a railing above the news set. "Touchè. But this old tom could use a few scratches behind the ear, could he not?" The Author unsheathed his pen/swords and started firing words at Chat from their inked tips. Chat let out a small yelp as he dodged out of the way, taking cover behind some recording cameras. I took cover as well, behind the screen cast. "Is the bug too scared of the book in which it will be squished? Come out my lady." I gasped quietly, but Chat was already in action. He practically flew towards the Author yelling, "She's only my lady! No one else can have her!" He stuck his staff into the ground and used that to help rotate him around and kick the Author right in the chest, sending him flying back. I quickly sprinted over and snapped the pens on the floor, but no akuma came out. "Chat Noir, the akuma's in his book!" I saw Chat try to reach the book tucked into the Author's pocket, but the Author quickly sent a flurry of words at Chat through his book. A second weapon, smart. Seeing no other way, I used my power. "Lucky Charm!" My yoyo went up straight into the air as I went on the top of my big toe on my left foot. My yoyo spun as sparks flew, it came down along with a polka dot flame thrower. I looked at it oddly, but looked back to the fight. Chat looked back at me for a second, but that was all the Author needed. A word flew and hit Chat on the arm. "Chat! Nooo!" I quickly looked around while Chat slowly started to age. My vision turned sharp. First, the tank of water, probably used for dunking, lit up polka dot style, second, the wooden plank above it, third, the rope connected to the pulley system, and finally, the flame thrower in my hands. I smirked as a plan flashed into my head. "Hey Mr. Author, how come people don't read books anymore? Is it because they're too boring?" I quickly jumped up and out of the way of some of the Author's words. I landed on the wooden plank and watched as he followed me. Thinking he had me cornered, he smirked. "Well, it seems that the little bug is trapped." He slowly crept towards me. "It's time to bring down the fly swatter!" He tried to lunge for me, but I swung out of the way with my trusty yoyo. He fell onto the boards, right where the 'x' marked the spot. I quickly threw the flame thrower at the sand bags, causing one to go up, and the flame thrower one to stay down. The hatch opened up, and the Author fell into the tank, the book staying afloat. I quickly swung over and grabbed it, tearing the soggy book in half as soon as I touched the ground. A black and purple butterfly tried to fly away, but I used my yoyo. "Time to de-evilize!" I caught the akuma in the center of my yoyo and brought it back to me. I opened the lid, releasing it. "Bye-bye little butterfly." I grabbed the flame thrower and threw it up into the air. "Miraculous Ladybug!" Beautiful little sparks started to swirl, and they covered the whole camera room, then left out the open door to return the rest of Paris back to its original condition. "My lady, you did it!" I laughed as Chat swept me up into a hug. "Yes kitty, but not without you distracting him first." He set me down, still smiling. "Of course my lady." We bumped our fists together, saying in unison, "Pound it." My earrings beaped, and I subconsciously went up to cup my ears. "Oops, gotta go. See you later Chat." I waved him goodbye and quickly ran out the door, out the building, and started swinging by the rooftops, up to mine. I landed one the roof just as my time wore off. Tiki fell into my awaiting hands, already sleeping. I carefully tucked her into my purse. "Sweet dreams Tikki."
