CHAPTER 11
'Fedor?' she whispered, cupping his shoulder tenderly.
He stirred sleepily, a broad smile broke out on his face. 'You want me again?'
'No! I have to go back to Rebecca.'
'But why?' His arms tightened around her naked body. 'Five more minutes,' he groaned, burying his face at her throat. His tongue doing erotic things to her body.
She laughed softly, raking her fingers through his hair. 'That used to be my line.'
'And I never said no to you. Ever.' His head lifted, his mouth crushing hers.
She used both hands to push at his shoulders. 'We have a baby now. You don't want her waking up alone, in an unfamiliar room, and being afraid. 'And she's going to ask me for pancakes!'
Fedor laughed. 'Should I join you in your bed?'
'No! Go back to sleep,' she whispered sliding out of his bed.
Olivia slipped on a night shirt. She snuggled up next to her daughter, gathering her against her bosom and closed her eyes. Hopefully Rebecca would sleep for another hour, before she needed to get up.
She knew she would have to prepare some pancakes for her baby, even though Ilia would have had a delicious spread of breakfast big enough to feed a very hungry Tzar.
It was some three hours later, that she stirred and jumped up. Rebecca was not in her bed. It was quiet. The room was empty. Olivia hastily took a quick shower, brushed her teeth and threw on a pair of jeans and a sweater.
Why didn't Fedor wake me up?
Gosh they'd spent half the night making passionate love, over and over. Olivia can't remember how many times Fedor had said: "Again and again."
Her body thrilled and hummed from all the exhilaration and satisfaction. She had been shy and nervous for Fedor to see her naked again, after childbirth, but the adoration and desire in Fedor's eyes had quickly put her fears to bed.
She rushed down to the breakfast room and found Fedor and Rebecca busy with breakfast. Rebecca was in a high chair, with pancakes and a whole bottle of syrup.
'Good morning,' Olivia kissed Rebecca, removing the bottle from her hand.
'Pancakes mum. Dad made pancakes.'
'Why didn't you wake me up?' Olivia scolded Fedor. 'This had never happened before.' Not a single day in Rebecca's life had she ever, left their bed, before Olivia could awake.
'Morning,' Fedor rose, grinning like a Cheshire cat. He kissed her full on the lips. 'Rebecca was awake in bed, talking to Pingu.'
Olivia had looked so adorable and so tired. He had felt guilty noting the dark shadows under her eyes.
'I came to check on you guys, and Rebecca lifted her arms to me, so I quietly brought her down and asked the kitchen to prepare her some pancakes.'
'Thank you. For future reference, you do not allow Rebecca free rein of the entire bottle of syrup. You, put the syrup onto her plate!'
'Oh. Okay,' Fedor looked at her sheepishly.
'Did you say thank you to daddy for your pancakes, darling?'
'Tanks, dad,' Rebecca smiled at Fedor, her lips covered in syrup.
Olivia was busy stealing some of Rebecca's pancakes and stuffing her face, when in walked Ilia, and behind Ilia, most astonishingly, was Luba Gusev.
'Darling,' Luba rattled to Fedor in Russian, ignoring everybody else in the room. 'You haven't come to the office as yet. I brought you some urgent documents to sign.'
Olivia glanced from Fedor to Luba. Her heart purred wildly. Fedor did not so much as look at Luba, nor greet her. He merely took the file and began perusing the contents.
Mmh...darling! 'Luba. Good morning.' Olivia greeted with a raised eyebrow.
Only then did Luba notice the toddler in the chair next to Olivia. Only then did Luba register the little child who was the splitting image of her father.
'What the hell!' Luba exclaimed in Russian, looking from Fedor to the baby, but Fedor was focused with the document in his hand.
From her peripheral vision, Olivia observed Ilia smirking mischievously because Luba's one breast was literally pressing against Fedor's upper arm. Ilia also observed the rage building up like a tornado, on Luba's face.
Ilia watched with fascination the play between her son and his employee. Fedor paid scant attention to Luba, but Luba was sinking her unwelcome her claws on Fedor's arm. Ilia was curious as to why Olivia was allowing this she-cat, to manipulate her employer.
'You want to go into the garden sweetheart?' Olivia whispered to Rebecca, her appetite all gone.
'Yes mum,' Rebecca smiled delightedly, lifting her arms to her mum.
Olivia lowered Rebecca onto the grass, in the garden. Rebecca ran around jubilantly, talking to the flowers, and calling to the birds on the trees. Olivia helped herself to some coffee from the refreshment table in the patio. She sipped her coffee and smiled happily, seeing her daughter so carefree and content. She chose to ignore that Luba was inside there, indiscreetly, making inappropriate contact with her man. It was not much of a consolation for Olivia that Fedor was not reciprocating Luba's unwanted advances. Dammit she was human and she was ___ jealous. There she thought it, even if she would never voice her jealousy.
'That can't be your child!' Luba spat at Fedor in an incensed tone.
Fedor looked up from the document. 'My private life is not your concern Luba!' he signed the document, handed it back to Luba, and walked out.
Luba glared angrily at Ilia. She wanted to vaporize Olivia and her child into thin air.
'My daughter in law and grandchild are lovely, are they not?' Ilia spoke in Russian. Adding fuel to the burning cauldron. She smiled delightedly as Fedor curved his arm around Olivia's waist, and Olivia leaned into Fedor's shoulder.
"'Daughter in law?"' Luba repeated in Russian. 'Fedor has not married anybody!' She laughed scathingly.
'Fedor has proposed. They will be married,' Ilia folded her arms challengingly.
Luba's nostrils flared. Her face contorted angrily. 'You never did like me, did you?' She hissed at Ilia. 'Fedor needs a woman who can stand her own. He needs a woman who is bold and confident!'
'And Olivia has all those qualities,' Ilia smiled tauntingly.
'Good bye,' Luba snarled angrily and marched out of Fedor's home.
'Thank you darling,' Olivia took the sunflower from Rebecca's tiny hand, and playfully tucked it into her hair. Rebecca grinned proudly.
'Let's get one for you too, sweetheart,' Olivia lifted Rebecca into her arms, kissed her cheek and walked back into the garden. Rebecca pointed eagerly, to where the sunflowers were growing.
'There you go,' Olivia plucked a smaller flower and tucked it into Rebecca's hair. 'You look beautiful. Here let me take a pic of you. Smile,' Olivia laughed, as she clicked half a dozen pics of Rebecca in various poses in the garden.
'Take one with Rebecca and I,' Fedor ordered, as he posed sexily next to Rebecca.
Olivia laughed and obliged. She'd taken a few fotos of Fedor and Rebecca, at her flat, rather discreetly. Now she was going to go wild.
'Smile honey,' Olivia laughed softly, urging Rebecca to pose with her daddy. Olivia's eyes were locked on Fedor as she clicked away, like crazy.
'How about we take a family one?' Fedor laughed happily. 'Let me set the timer on it.' They took a few, with Rebecca in the middle, then with Rebecca on Fedor's lap, and Fedor naughtily snuck a few kisses on Olivia's cheek, as the camera clicked away.
'Sophie. Sophie, mum?'
'Aww. Are you missing Sophie, darling? Okay, let's call Sophie.'
The phone barely rung, when Sophie picked it up on the second ring.
'Olivia! Is Rebecca hurt? Did something happen? Is she okay? If something happened to my baby, there will be hell ___'
When Olivia chuckled, Sophie stopped talking. 'Oh damn! We should have brought you with? You're missing Rebecca?' Olivia smiled adoringly at Fedor, as she spoke to Sophie.
"I ___ I __ I can hear a smile in your voice. So I guess Rebecca is okay. She is enjoying Russia?'
Olivia laughed. 'She is having a wonderful time in her gran's garden, but she has not seen much of Russia as yet.' Olivia quickly, sent a few of the pics, only of Rebecca, to Sophie.
'Aw, my baby looks so pretty and so happy.'
Olivia laughed again. 'I think she is missing you too. She spoke your name twice. I guess, she is remembering you and her playing in the garden and she thought of you.'
'Oh my gorgeous little pumpkin. I am missing her so damn much!'
'Here, say hi to Rebecca,' Olivia handed her phone to Rebecca.
Twomonths later...
Fedor and Olivia were preparing for Rebecca's birthday party the next day. Fedor had wanted to have the party at an orphanage. Olivia supported his idea whole heartedly. There would be lots of children about Rebecca's age that she could have lots of fun with. Rebecca would have a wonderful time, with children around her age group.
Fedor was pestering Olivia to go with him to buy Rebecca some clothes. She asked him to do it by himself, he was not taking no for an answer.
'Fedor,' she laughed. 'I've given you Rebecca's size. Just get her anything casual she can run around in and be comfortable as she plays with others.
'I insist you go with,' he pleaded. 'What if I buy the wrong colour or something not appealing?'
'Sophie and I are busy filling the party packs and I still need ___.'
'Go!' Sophie waved her hands in a sweeping manner. 'I'll manage.'
'But how difficult is it for Fedor to just pull one T shirt and one pants off a rack and be done?' Olivia threw her hands in the air questioningly.
'Just go,' Sophie shooed Olivia out. 'Maybe he wants some alone time with you,' she murmured conspirationally.
Olivia narrowed her eyes at Rebecca's annoying Nanny, picked up her hand bag and marched out. Olivia expected to go to her local retail shop that specialized in kiddies casual wear, but Fedor seemed to have other ideas. He was talking about a designer kiddies boutique store, where items cost an arm and a leg.
'No Fedor! Children quickly outgrow their clothes. It's pointless being so extravagant! It is foolish. Now either, we shop here, or we go back home!'
'Fine,' he pouted, as he possessively curved his arm around her waist, as he led her into the store.
'I said one outfit. You've chosen four already!' Olivia was finding Fedor exhausting.
'Rebecca will need a change of clothes, after she's done in the water slide. These shorts look lovely. It's so hot now. She can use them every day.' He picked three toddler shorts and matching T shirts.
'That's it. Now let's go!' She slapped her arms on her hips.
'That's a pretty hat,' he looked at her with puppy dog eyes. 'Rebecca will look gorgeous in it.'
Olivia laughed. Fedor grinned, finding any excuse for his hands to touch her body. His arms circled her waist. 'You look gorgeous, bossing me around,' he pressed his lips to hers.
Olivia tugged the items out of his hands and marched to the teller. Fedor followed with a few toys and story books. She glared at him, her eyes narrowing warningly.
'Only because it is her birthday,' he murmured. 'I won't buy anything else until ___ until?'
She laughed. 'Until tomorrow?'
He grinned, kissing her cheek. 'Until Rebecca's sexy mummy gives me permission.'
'Shut up. Just pay already,' she smiled.
'Mr. Zykov. Thank you for choosing to host your daughter's party here. The children will be most appreciative. Thank you also for your continued support. The monies are most helpful.'
'It's our pleasure,' Fedor smiled, including Olivia, as it was her that had seen the article in the newspaper of the orphanage needing funds to meet their daily needs.
'You still fund them?' Olivia whispered, thinking after she'd broken up with him, he's stopped sponsoring the orphanage.
He shrugged, non-committedly. What Olivia had not known, was he not only continued to support them, but had also increased the monthly sponsorship, seeing the infrastructure needs and the daily requirements for food, and other essentials.
Olivia was excited there were six children around Rebecca's age. She would have lots of fun with them. Olivia had suggested to Fedor that Rebecca receive her gifts at home, so as not to be insensitive to the children at the orphanage. She had also warned Fedor not to go overboard. She had instructed him not to come with more than three gifts.
At the party there was lots of cakes, snacks, refreshments and lots of candy for all the children, and off course Rebecca had a wonderful and most memorable party with her newly established friends.
