This part has been published before, but I edited it and changed some things. I hope you enjoy this newish chapter!

This Thursday I will release the new fic. It will be Thorinxreader again. And I will add some new chapters to my old Imagine books. They will be old fics, but with some changes. You'll see what I'm talking about when you see it!

'Do you remember the words Galolyn?' you asked. Together with your three youngest children, you sat in the library. It was a beautiful day outside but they couldn't play in the mud just yet. Thorin insisted on teaching your children all the old songs of Erebor. It had been a big part of his childhood and he wanted to pass it on to his children.

For now, you were alone in the library because Thorin had some business to look into with Balin.

Galolyn climbed onto your lap, causing Galallyn to complain. 'That's not fair! She can always sit on your lap!' he pouted. A chuckle escaped your mouth before you could stop it. 'Come here then.' The twins both jumped up and climbed onto your lap as well. Gaerlyn, 'accidentally', stepped on Galolyn's foot. She tried to push her sister off but she clung on to your necklace.

You lifted her up into your arms and tried to get her small hand of your necklace. 'Sweetie, I don't get much air this way' you said and Gaerlyn let go of it. You put your children back down on the ground, trying to look stern at them. 'Since when do we treat kin like this?' you asked. The twins lowered their head with tears in their eyes.

'Sorry' Galallyn began, 'mum' Gearlyn finished.

Galolyn picked up the book that had fallen off your lap and placed it in your hands. She put on her pouting face and looked straight at you. 'Please mum, can you sing this song with us?' Your heart melted. It was unfair. You couldn't deny your kids anything, and they knew exactly which buttons to push inside your heart to get what they wanted.

'We will sing if you promise that you won't fight again. You are kin, you should love and protect each other' you said with a stern voice.

Galolyn turned around to face her younger brother and sister. 'I'm sorry tha...' she started but couldn't finish because the twins jumped on top of her to hug her. 'Do not worry big sister!' Galallyn yelled into his sister's ear. 'We still love you!' Gaerlyn said as she almost suffocated her sister.

You laughed and somewhere near you, you could hear a deep chuckle.

'I see that you have everything under control here?' Dwalin asked. You looked up at him and smiled.

'Dwalin, how are you?' you asked, affection evident in your voice.

'DWALIN!' the twins yelled and surrounded him. Galolyn still lay on the floor, rubbing the back of her head.

'Are you alright sweetie?' you asked and helped her back up, gently. 'Can't you give them something to calm down?' she asked annoyed. You shook your head. 'I'm afraid they will turn out to be just like Fili and Kili, and you know that they have never calmed down.'

'How is your little one doing?' you asked Dwalin. He carried a little bundle in his arms. The child's face was almost completely shielded, so that no one could see the child. Dwalin looked down lovingly at his first born.

Kim and Dwalin didn't want to have children as soon as you and Thorin had them. They decided to wait a couple of years before they would try. Now, they had a beautiful son; Narlin.

'He is a tough little boy. I can tell he will become a great warrior one day' he says with pride in his eyes.

'Do you want to sing a song with us?' Galallyn asked in his cute, high voice.

'I'm sorry lad, I have other things to do.' Dwalin focused his eyes back on you. 'Where is your oldest?' he asked.

You crossed your arms. 'Is it you who wants to know that or my husband?' you asked suspiciously. Galolyn stood right next to you, her eyes shooting back and forth between you and Dwalin.

'Can you watch Narlin for a while? I will try to find her' he said and took a few steps forward. It was a little difficult with the twins holding on to his legs. They were laughing when they realized Dwalin was actually having a hard time to move forward with them holding on to his legs.

Carefully, he handed you his son and looked lovingly at him.

'You have a good heart Dwalin' you said, smiling.

Dwalin smiled. 'Don't tell anyone, I have a reputation' he said jokingly.

'Go, I hope you will find her in time. Thorin won't like it if he hears she has been skipping lessons again.'

'Agreed. It will be best if she is here as soon as possible.' Dwalin bowed his head and tried to get the twins off his legs.

'Galallyn, Gaerlyn, enough.' They pouted at you as they, reluctantly, let go of Dwalin's legs.

'Thank you lass, I will be back soon.'

'Thank you Dwalin.'

The tattooed warrior left the library to look for the missing princess. Finally, it was time to sing the old songs with your children. But you weren't able to focus on the songs completely. You were worried about Gwendolyn. You knew she wouldn't get herself in trouble, on purpose, but she didn't understand that she had duties as the princess of Erebor.

You wanted her to be able to be a child but Thorin also made it quite clear that she was royalty. Sometimes you felt bad for her because you knew she didn't like the royal lifestyle. Just like you, she loved reading and going on adventures. Her father wanted to keep her safe inside his mountain, locked away from anything and anyone who would try to hurt his daughter.

Sometimes, you would cover for her if she skipped lessons again, but at some point your husband would find out and he would be very, very mad.

'If you hold it up, just like this, you will be able to hit it' Kili said and helped Gwendolyn to point the arrow upwards. They were outside, near the mountain, practicing their fighting skills.

'I think it's too high' Gwendolyn pointed out.

Kili chuckled. 'I've had a few more years of practice, may I remind you' Kili said playfully.

Gwendolyn raised an eyebrow and pointed the arrow downwards. Kili placed his hands in his side and watched the arrow missing it's mark completely. The arrow landed a few feet away, hidden between some rocks. Gwendolyn shot an angry look at Kili and tried to make her way towards the point where the arrow had landed.

'It's not my fault you are a bad teacher' she said, struggling to move forward.

'Me? A bad teacher? How can I teach you anything when you don't listen to me?' Kili asked and followed her.

It was a beautiful day to be outside. The sun was shining brightly and there were no clouds in the sky. Usually, Gwendolyn would be in the library right now with her brother and sisters to learn songs from her mother. But she had already heard the songs of old so many times, she didn't need to learn them anymore.

Thorin didn't want to hear about it, though. He wanted her to follow all of her lessons, but she didn't find them interesting anymore. She wanted to learn how to fight and she wanted to read as many books as she could. Balin was a nice dwarf but his lessons became boring very quickly. And she wouldn't even become queen.

Thorin had decided Fili would remain his heir, he would sit on the throne if anything happened to her father. She didn't know why she couldn't become queen.

Gwendolyn ignored Kili and continued to look for his arrow. 'You are even more stubborn then your mother' he muttered under his breath.

'I heard that' Gwendolyn pointed out. '

I hoped you would.'

Gwendolyn looked back at him and laughed. Suddenly, she frowned and looked in the distance, behind Kili. 'What is it?' he asked and looked behind him as well.

'Do you see that?' she said and narrowed her eyes to get a better view. Far away, she could see a small group moving towards the mountain. She couldn't see what it was, it was too far away. Instead of getting the arrow, Gwendolyn walked back over the rocks to see who were getting closer.

'Wait, we first need to know what they are before we can get closer to them' Kili tried to warn her.

'Kili, if they were bad news then we would have already heard the ...' Gwendolyn started before she was interrupted by the alarm horns from Erebor.

'Then we would have heard this sound' Kili said, his tone serious. 'We have to go back to the mountain. If uncle can't find you, then I'm afraid he will get his army ready to go looking for you' Kili said and walked towards the mountain.

Gwendolyn looked at the group in the distance once more before she followed Kili. Every once in a while they would sneak out of the mountain to escape their royal duties. One of the guards promised them to help them get out whenever they wanted, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to get away. Thorin hadn't noticed, Gwendolyn hoped. She knew her mother knew something, but she wasn't sure what she knew exactly.

The group in the distance came closer to the mountain and Gwendolyn could see a group of dwarves coming from the mountain to attack the other group. 'Quickly' Kili said and moved into the mountain first.

The guard who said he would wait for them by the hidden door was gone now. 'I think all of them are at the entrance of the mountain' Kili pointed out. He lead the way and they almost moved around the corner to get to the front of the mountain when Thorin got around the corner. The guard was standing behind him, avoiding their eyes, looking down at his feet.

'Not all of them then' Thorin said in a dark, low voice. His eyes were focused on Gwendolyn.

'I thought you would be in the front, to attack the group with the guards, uncle' Kili tried but only earned a harsh look from Thorin.

'It is only a small orc pack, nothing that a few dwarves can't handle.' Thorin's eyes were shooting fire. Gwendolyn knew that they couldn't use this secret door anymore. Not now that her father knew of it. Nor would she ever be able to leave the mountain again.

'How many times have you left the mountain?' Thorin asked.

Gwendolyn swallowed, she never felt brave when she faced Thorin after she had done something wrong. He had told her countless of times that he wanted her to remain in her quarters, safely hidden in the mountain. And she had never listened to him. 'I don't think the question is how many...'

'How many times?' Thorin bellowed. Even Kili's shoulders tensed.

'It is not her fault uncle, I told her-'

'I don't care who came up with it! How many times have you left this mountain unguarded, Gwendolyn?'

She looked right in between his eyes, it wasn't as scary as looking straight into those icy blue eyes. 'Only twenty times' she muttered.

Thorin's eyes widened and his mouth dropped. 'TO YOUR ROOM, NOW!' he yelled.

'But father...' she started.

Thorin's eyes narrowed and he regained his composure. 'Now!' he sneered. T

ears formed in her eyes. 'You are always like this! You never understand what I want!' she yelled and ran past him.

'Go with her, make sure she goes to her room. Afterwards you will go to your own room' Thorin said to Kili. The prince nodded and ran after Gwendolyn. Thorin still stood there as he listened as the sound of footsteps diminished. He sighed heavily and lowered his shoulders. 'I'm just trying to keep you safe' he muttered, so that the guard wouldn't hear him.
