Closing my eyes, visualizing Dmitri, Nickoli, Mason, Jack, and Lawrence, the men I was the closest to and the Alpha's, who were the strongest. Clear visual in place, I reached out with my mind to feel them. I highly doubted they were less than a mile away but if I didn't try I would regret it. Sweat poured down my face, exhaustion kicked in and I did not feel a damn thing.

Frustrated, angry, and scared, I was determined not to give up. Going back to the basics, I cleared my mind, going to my peaceful quiet beach, a soft warm breeze caressed my skin, water as still as glass. Slowly I began to visualize the men one at a time.

This time I could feel the edge of panic, worry, fear and anger. I was positive it wasn't mine. Slowing down my breathing, concentrating on those feelings that were not mine, I could make out Dmitri and Nickoli the strongest, than Mason and I thought I could also could feel Lawrence. Eyes watering, needing, and wanting to be back home, I quickly vanished my own thoughts and feelings to keep a hold of theirs. Pushing with all my might I tried to send them a feeling of being Ok, and try to hide the fear I was really feeling. At first, I thought I lost the connection when everything went blank, but immediately I felt relief coming from them, too tired to hold on any longer, the connection slipped. I tried to get it back, but fatigue won out. One second my loved ones were with me and the next they were gone. I didn't have time to wallow about it because sleep pulled me under.

LAWRENCE

Home base set up was at Sam's, tension was building; a time bomb ready to go off. It was taking all I had to keep my Lions from exploding at the seams. Looking over at Jack, he too seemed to be having the same problem. At least he had his second to help him, where my second was not of any help, due to his personal relationship with Sam. I, too, was connected more with Sam then I wished, no one else knew that and it would stay that way. Having feelings for her was not in my best interest for many reasons. First, no matter how unconventional, she was dating my good friend and second in command, Nickoli, and the wolves third in command Dmitri. The natural pull of the Tlazolteotl had been there since we met, the day we found her unconscious on the floor, and the sexual tension between us was out of this world, but overall she is an amazing person that I would be proud to have at his side. I wasn't even going to think about the pull I felt towards her.

An argument snapped me back to the now and away from my personal thoughts, Dmitri was on the verge of starting a landslide of aggression.

"Dmitri! Outside now," the Alpha roared, silencing the house.

Thinking some fresh air sounded great, I nudged Nickoli and followed the wolves.
From what I had heard and seen of Dmitri, he had a very short fuse on the best of days but when it came to Sam it was practically non-existent. Now I watched Dmitri pace like a cage animal, face red, body shaking, as his anger and fear poured out of him.

"Dmitri," Jack started to say.

"We can't just sit here and do nothing. It has been hours and we are still here doing nothing," Dmitri roared.

"Dammit, what the fuck should we do? Go off and search for what. We need to grid out the area and once the guys are done searching the area around the house, they may find something for us to go on. They went through a lot to get through the protection of this house, which means they have had to spend time here, and you know our guys will find something," Jack repeated everything he has said over the last hour and the strain from doing so showed.

I pulled Nickoli to the side. "How are you holding up?" Nickoli had been extremely quiet and that was beginning to worry me.

"The harder I try not to think, the more images of Cassie and Katie flash before my eyes," his voice strained, trying to keep it together.

He was not the only one to have those thoughts. I hated to say it, but if Sam suffered the same fate, I didn't know how the outcome would turn out. Before I could respond, the team that was out searching the grounds came in to view.

A few of them were caring something as the jogged up to their group. "Jack, we found some things," a wolf, I didn't know, said.

Placing everything on the table, I saw three video cameras, a satchel, black candles, and a black ceramic bowl. Taking the satchel to examine the contents; I ha seen these herbs before, and might just know someone who might be able to help us out with it.

"You know what that is?" Jack asked me.

"I might, but I know someone that will and maybe some names of witches that are familiar with it," I replied, taking out my cell to make some calls.

Before I could dial the first number, a strange feeling came from deep inside. Hesitating, looking up, I was not the only one that stop dead in their tracks. Nickoli and Dmitri looked like they just seen a ghost. All background noise vanished, concentrating on the weird, but not unpleasant feeling, I felt fear that was not mine and something else I could not understand.

Just then, a glimpse of Sam flashed before my eyes. She was trying to use her ability to feel for us and us to her. Relief with the sensation of being able to sense her radiated my body, smile stretched wide, I said aloud, "That's it Sam, where are you honey?" Then it was gone, I was just left with mine and the prides feelings.

"Did you feel that?" Mason stormed out of the house, racing towards them.

"She's scared," Dmitri said at the same time Nickoli said, "She's Ok."

"That was different. It was faint and she was trying hard to get to us. She is not within five miles, which I am for sure of. Although we have not practised this, she is strong and the more she does it the better chance of us being able to get a better idea where she is." I told the group.

"You're right. These cameras have a distance of around 15 to 20 miles with no interference and around 10 miles if there is, so that is a start," one of the wolves who found the devices out in the woods confirmed.

"Ok then, we start gridding out the maps, starting five miles out. Within the hour we will have the search parties ready to go," Jack announced.
