Chapter 43 Sam
"No! Absolutely not. No fucking way. I am so done with this shit. You are not going anywhere! I am locking you up!" Dmitri had been raging on for the last five minutes.
"I'm with Dmitri on this one. Sam, you had to put yourself in harm's way when Syd was taking, she is your Alpha's granddaughter. And look what happen. I know I have no rights here but that doesnt mean I want you to get hurt or worse. Plus it is my job to protect my..." Nickoli stopped there. I was thankful because I was not sure what he was about to say. By the look of some of the others they caught more of the conversation then the rest did. Our ending relationship was not out yet.
I was doing a pretty good job ignoring the two men. I did understand and agreed with them, but I had no choice. With Nickoli talking over Dmitri it took a few seconds for me to comprehend what Dmitri said. Pushing myself off from the wall I took a few steps towards Dmitri. "I'm sorry what did you say?" I started with my arms crossed under my ample chest. "I know I did not hear you say you would going to lock me up, did I? After hearing all this bitching and tuning you all out, I know I misheard. Can you repeat that Dmitri?"
He wasn't backing down and although I was pissed at him at that moment I was also turned on. His thick chest breathing heavy under the burgundy ribbed T-shirt, amazing blue eyes that penetrated mine, his soft full lips begging to be kissed sped up my heart. I was still angry but my body was thinking of other ways to release the pent up agitation.
Moving closer, now inches away, I had to struggle to retain eye contact instead of feeling him up with my eyes, he growled, "Oh you damn well heard what I said. I will lock your ass up! End of discussion." He too was angry and was not going to back down.
One second I was in control, the next the Lioness was. Giving a warning growl, knowing my eyes had change; not to lion but to the ice blue colour of the wolf. "Í will protect her. We will, Wolf and me. The only thing a male is good for besides the odd hunt is for mating."
"Sam?" Nickoli, Dmitri and a few others called out.
"Lioness, we need to talk to Sam right now," Lawrence came forward. "I know you and Wolf can take care of her, but you will all be out number," Lawrence's voice stayed neutral. "Will you let Sam come back now? I know she can hear me and like you said before she is your leader, the one in control. Come on Sam don't let anyone fight your battles."
"Well, hello my Nemean," Lioness purred. "We are just having a little fun. Have to teach these cubs who they cannot push around. No matter how much they are worthy and that one is. For a wolf."
Nickoli was stiff and unmoving, "What did she just call you?" he gritted out between his teeth. "And what the hell is happening?"
Joseph slid down the wall staring at Sam in horror, repeating over and over, "Oh god no. Oh god no, Oh god no..."
Lioness looked over at Joseph, "Joseph. Our sweet, sweet little Joseph. We will get your sister back don't you worry."
One moment I was standing feet away from Joseph while he sat on the floor, the next he was across that space tackling the unsuspected Lioness. Landing hard, head bouncing of the floor once, with Joseph straddling over my thighs and both his hands thrust into my hair holding it tight.
"NO!" he roared. "Sam don't you let them take control ever. NO." He was now shaking my head on this side of violent while the others tried to pull him off once they came to their senses. "Fight god dammit. If you can't fight then you are not the woman I thought you were and I should never have saved you. You are no better than the him," he screamed right before the others were able to pull him off and was thrown across the room.
Coming back to myself, my head throbbed and the screaming that was going on in the room wasn't helping. Dmitri and Nickoli were kneeling beside me talking at once and I couldn't understand what was going on. Nickoli was more guarding than paying attention to me. All I knew that I was on the floor with a splitting headache. "What the hell?" I tried to get up but Dmitri gently pushed on my shoulder to stop me from moving.
"You don't understand," I heard Joseph yelling. "If she lets them out she will be lost. She will not be the person we all care for. She will be something that thinks like her animals more than anything else. Sam! Fight it, you have to control them! Never let them control you. The more they do the easier it is," Joseph continued to scream.
"What's wrong with Joseph," I started to panic hearing the fear in his voice. "Dammit, Dmitri, let me up," I demanded.
"How are you feeling? How many fingers am I holding up?" Lawrence asked, holding up two fingers.
"One bitch of a headache and two. What the hell happened?" My panic continued to rise.
"What do you remember?" Dmitri asked, still holding me down. Glaring at him the best I could as he looked down at me, he continued. "OK, Ok. You kind of lioned out then Joseph tackled you to the floor and started screaming for you not to let your beast take over."
"Oh." I didn't know what else to say. I had been struggling more as everyday went by. They were not just a part of me but more like another personality, well more like two other personalities. All having their own dreams, wants, and needs. It was scaring me and I knew I had to do something but wasn't sure what. And when I told Lawrence today he didn't understand what I was saying until I let my lion come forward.
"Will someone please tell the rest of us what the hell is going on?" Nickoli demanded he stood up from his crouching position. I guess the threat was gone.
"Sam cannot help me get my sister back until she has better control, that's what's going on," Joseph answered harshly. A couple of men had him on the far side of the room blocking him from moving.
"You want to know what," I raised my voice swatting at the hands that tried to help me stand. "I am so fucking tired of people telling me what I can and can't do. The only way we are getting your sister back alive, Joseph, is if I go get her. If any of you are so much as a mile from where they are she is dead. Is that what you want Joseph?" I knew I was being mean but they were not listening and they had pushed me to far. "So you let her die or shut the fuck up and tell me what you know about what is happening to me. Because I feel like I am losing my fucking mind here. Never mind the fact that I really rather not have to go near Elijah again but we, I, have no choice."
