This is the story of a disgraced fairy who was destined to one day become the queen of her entire race, but not before she met her true parents. A living symbol of fear and evil and one of the first people ever created, I just called them Mom and Dad. Now I'll start this story from the very beginning.

Back when the world was still new, I was banished from my home and sent to the next realm over. A realm where the only things there were a failing deity and a primordial entity that was older than the time itself. However, no one other than the Darkness knew that God had created life. One day a woman found a newborn baby cold, alone, and abandoned crying in a puddle left by the rain from the previous night, that baby was me and the woman who found me was named Eve. Eve had long brown hair, beautiful brown eyes, and the kindest warmest smile imaginable. "Poor thing. Did God leave you here?" Eve said as she picked up the child and rocked her, "No God didn't put her here. She is a fairy." A man said, at the time the Darkness couldn't hold a complete form for long, his shadow tethered him to the Earth and while he looked human parts of his body revealed his true identity. The parts of him that were human were the majority of his torso, his left arm, his legs, and his head. His right hand and partway up his forearm were part of his true self and parts of his true form showed through on his face going over his right eye, his pitch-black hair complimented the dark markings throughout his body. "It looks like she likes you, Eve. Will you keep her?" The Darkness asked, "Yes." Eve said sweetly as she kissed the Darkness, "I'll need to call her something." Eve said, "Titania, call her Titania." The Darkness said, "Tatania, that's perfect. Hello, little Tatania." Eve said sweetly. Eve was always kind to me, she loved the Darkness and she loved me, and I loved her. Eventually, I started calling her Mama and I called the Darkness Papa.

<two years later>

"Titania." Mama said, "MAMA!" I said happily as I ran up to my mother and hugged her leg, "There you are! Titania I was worried!" Mama said as she hugged me I just got a sad look, I had worried my mother and soon I began to cry, "It is alright my dear, it is alright I was just worried you ventured out near the river and fell in." Mama said as she stroked my hair, "EVE!" Adam yelled I didn't like Adam he was always mean to me and Mama, he hated Papa. One time I saw him hit Mama when I went to get Papa to help her Adam left. Papa and I found her on the ground in tears. "Mama." I said as I hid behind my mother, "It will be alright my love." Mama said as she held me behind her, "EVE! What do you think you are doing! God made you for me so how about you do what you were made for and stop wasting everyone's time spending day after day with those parasites!" Adam said, "I do not belong to you, Adam! And I will not stand idly by while you insult not only the man I love but my darling daughter as well!" Mama said angrily, "THIS IS YOUR FAULT YOU LITTLE PESTILENCE!" Adam shouted as he tried to grab me, thankfully Papa showed up and stopped him before he could touch me, "I think you should leave Adam." Papa said, "God will have you burned!" Adam said, "You know as well as I that God cannot kill me. I gave him a chance and he failed, and I beat him down. But even knowing this you attacked my daughter. God failed to kill me so I beat him just for disappointing me, so what do you think I would do to you for harming my daughter?" Papa said as he threw Adam down to the ground causing him to retreat. "Are the both of you alright?" Papa asked, "Yes we are both perfectly fine my love." Mama said as she picked me up, "I'm glad. Eve, I'm worried for you and Titania's safety, please come stay with me." Papa said, "Very well my love, the both of us shall come to stay with you." Mama said. Papa took us to a cavern that he had made his home. The walls were lined with torches and a fire in the center to illuminate the dark cavern, I'm pretty sure the only reason why Papa had any light in the cavern was for me and Mama. Papa had made three places for us to sleep.

<three days later>

"Good night Titania my love." Mama said as she kissed my forehead, "I will go find your father so we can all get some much-needed rest." Mama said before she left the cavern. I had fallen asleep soon after my mother left me but I have clear memories of my father telling me about that night.

It had started raining when Mama found Papa, "I thought I would find you out here." Mama said, "Eve you should go back inside." Papa said as he covered Mama and shielded her from the rain, "Well our daughter wants her mother and father to go to sleep." Mama said as she wrapped her arms around Papa's neck, "Eve what's going on, you're not acting like your usual self?" Papa asked, "I don't know what is happening to me, but it feels right." Mama said as she kissed Papa, "I only feel this way around you. Adam has never once made me feel like this and this is far from the way I feel around Titania." Mama said before she kissed Papa again and this time they didn't break away and before long things escalated.

"I have no idea what that was, but I loved it. Almost as much as I love you" Mama said, "I love you to Eve." Papa said. That's when I screamed and then Mama and Papa came running in.

"Well, well looks like I found a few rats!" Adam said as he held me by my hair with a sharp rock against my throat, "M-Mama." I cried, "Titania my love, you will be alright." Mama said as she walked towards us, "I wouldn't do that if I were you, Eve, not unless you want little Titania to get hurt?" Adam said, "ADAM YOU LET MY DAUGHTER GO THIS INSTANT!" Mama yelled as Adam pressed the rock against my throat hard to the point that I began to bleed a bit, "ADAM IF YOU HURT HER I WILL KILL YOU!" Mama shouted as Papa held her back, "Eve no." Papa said, "LET ME GO THAT IS OUR DAUGHTER!" Mama yelled, suddenly a shadow pierced Adam's arm causing him to drop the rock allowing Papa to punch him, "TITANIA!" Mama said as she ran over to me and hugged me and cried, "Eve do not let our daughter see what I am about to do." Papa said as Mama shielded my eyes. "NO NO N-" Adam shouted before there was a sudden snapping sound, then everything was quiet and the air was heavy. "M-Mama." I sniffled, "Hush now my love, everything is alright." Mama said as she kissed the top of my head. "Eve, I'm going to go take care of a few things." Papa said, "Go, I will watch over Titania." Mama said softly. "Right." Papa said, "Titania, my love, I am so so sorry this happened to you." Mama cried, "Come let us sleep." Mama said.

<three months later>

"Mama?" I said, "I'm alright my love. I just did not feel well." Mama said as she stood up after puking for the third morning in a row. I hugged my mother and she hugged me back, "I love you Titania and nothing will ever change that." Mama said, "Now I want you to go find your father, I have something to take care of and then I will come and join you both." Mama said sweetly. At the time, I had no idea why my mother sent me away. "Papa!" I said happily as I hugged my father, "Titania darling why are you by yourself? Where's your mother?" Papa asked as he picked me up, I pointed at where Mama and I were, suddenly the skies darkened and it began to rain, "Titania stay here, don't move from this spot." Papa said as he sat me down. I wish I could say that I had listened to my father, I wish I could say that I stayed there as my father had asked, but I can't. I followed my father and I found him in tears crying over my mother, "Mama?" I said, "Titania I told you to wait for me!" Papa said, "Mama sleepy?" I said, "TITANIA YOU WILL STAY WHERE YOU ARE!" Papa shouted causing me to tear up, "I-I'm sorry my dear, please just stay where you are." Papa said softly, "Want Mama." I said, "Titania my darling, your mother is gone." Papa said, "Where Mama go?" I asked, "She was killed in cold blood." Papa said grimly, "Mama." I said sadly, "Oh it was after all you were the one who caused this. You infected her with your evil." God said, "Titania my dear I need you to stay here and look after your mother for me. Do you think you can do that for me?" Papa asked I nodded as he stood up, "This will not take long." Papa said as he and God vanished. The air felt dense and heavy, suddenly there were several loud claps of thunder, lightning filled the skies, and the ground began to shake violently. "MAMA!" I cried in fear as I clung to my mother's lifeless body, I desperately wanted my mother to wake up, take me in her arms, and tell me that everything would be alright and that she would never let anything hurt me. Sadly that would never happen, she was dead, and for the next fifty years, my father would fight God continuously. Day in and day out. The one and only time my father ever stopped fighting, was when we buried my mother.

<twenty years later>

My father was entirely focused on keeping me safe so when God made humans and angels, my father made monsters. For fairies, we are considered children until we are over three hundred years old. Our bodies age very slowly to the point where we are fully grown when we are around one hundred and fifty years old. So my mother and father treating me like a child was not far from how a fairy would have treated me, I would have been treated as if I were a newborn until I was fifty years old. "Papa. Can I help?" I asked innocently, "Not now Titania. I am busy." Papa said, "But Papa I want to help!" I said, "Titania!" Papa scalded, "I-I'm sorry Papa." I said sadly as I walked away, "I miss Mama." I said sadly as I walked out of the cavern which I called home, "Lady Titania it is not safe for you to be out here alone." Maria said. Maria was Papa's attempt to give me some sort of mother figure, Papa made her to be as much like Mama as possible, she had long black hair, emerald green eyes, pale skin, and because Papa created her she was a monster. Her monstrous trait was shown by her feline ears and tail which were black just like her hair. She was very motherly towards me. She loved me and I loved her in return even if she was a bit strange. "Now my darling kitten tell me what is the matter?" Maria said, "Papa is upset with me and I fear that he does not love me anymore." I said as Maria picked me up and I buried my face in her chest, "There, there my darling kitten I know your father will always love you. I might not know my lord as you do but I am certain that he will never stop loving you just as I do." Maria said as she kissed my cheek, "Well that was very...heartwarming however I shall be taking the child now." A woman said. She had long golden hair, sapphire blue eyes, and a flawless body. She was beautiful. "Maria please don't let her take me!" I said as I clung to Maria, "It is alright my darling. Your father will not allow anyone to take you from him." Maria said, "Her father is the one who sent me to retrieve her." The woman said, "What's going on out here?" Papa asked, "Ah, so you are the one who has been raising the young mistress. I am her attendant, you may call me Raven Darkshire." Raven said, "What do you want Raven?" Papa asked, "I am here for her." Raven said, "Her father sent me to retrieve her after the unfortunate passing of her mother the high queen." Raven said, "I am her father and my daughter will not be going anywhere." Papa said, "I must insist. From what I have seen of your world you are at war with the God of this world. Do you honestly think that it is safe for a child?" Raven said, "Will she be safe?" Papa asked, "Yes." Raven said, "Then take her." Papa said as he walked away, "NO! I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU, A COMPLETE STRANGER TAKE MY DARLING KITTEN!" Maria said as she held me tightly, "Titania my darling I will not allow her to take you anywhere!" Maria said, "So your name is Titania. Well, mistress Titania I don't see why you have to leave your...friend behind. She could come with us if you'd like." Raven said, "I-I want Maria to come too." I said, "Very well my mistress." Raven said.

Raven took Maria and me to the Fairy realm to meet my father. "Lord Oberon I have brought your daughter back to you." Raven said, "Does she have a name? Does she speak?" Oberon said, "Her name is Titania my lord and-" Raven said before Oberon raised his hand demanding her silence, "I want to hear it from her." Oberon said, "Yes my lord. Titania dear, please come here." Raven said sweetly, I stepped forward and saw the man who I was told was my father for the first time. He had medium-length silver hair, a long silver beard, and green eyes. He wore a gold circlet around his head, he wore baggy blue and silver robes. "Speak dear child." Oberon said, "You're not my Papa." I said, "YOU INSOLENT LITTLE GIRL!" Raven shouted as she prepared to slap me before Oberon began to laugh, "You're just like your mother, she wasn't afraid to tell me exactly what was on her mind. This only further proves that you are my daughter." Oberon said as he stood up and walked over to me, "You have your mother's eyes. I hope I am around to see the woman that you will become one day." Oberon said as he ruffled my hair, "Ah, it seems my daughter has found herself a little pet." Oberon said, "My lord, this is Maria. From what I can tell she is the young mistress' nursemaid." Raven said, "Ah I see. Very well I shall allow her to stay simply because my daughter seems to like her." Oberon said.

"Well Titania my darling, Lord Oberon seemed nice." Maria said as she washed my hair, "Yeah, but I still do not like Raven." I said, "The fairy realm is quite lovely, however, I can't help but feel that it is no less dangerous than our world. I want you to be very very careful alright my kitten." Maria said, "Ok." I said softly, "What's the matter my darling?" Maria asked, "I miss Papa. I-I don't understand why he would send me here." I said sadly as I turned and hugged her, "Oh, my darling kitten your father only wanted you to be safe." Maria said, "I love you, Maria." I said, "And I love you my kitten." Maria said, "Now we should get some rest. I am very interested in learning exactly what these bed things are." Maria said as she stood up and picked me up and walked out of the bath.

Maria and I shared a room. The bed scared me at first, I was so used to sleeping on leaves and stone that this mass of softness frightened me. I felt like I was lying on a cloud and I feared that I was going to fall through it! "Sleep well my kitten." Maria said as she kissed my forehead before she went to bed.
I was asleep for about three or four hours when I woke up after I had a nightmare and found someone standing over me holding a knife. The knife had serrated edges on both sides of the blade, and the fuller of the blade went completely through the bade allowing you to see through the center. I screamed when I saw them, and Maria immediately sprung into action as the intruder began to try to stab me. Maria grabbed the intruder's wrist stopping them from stabbing me, she began twisting their wrist until they dropped the knife which she caught, and then she placed the blade against the intruder's throat. "TITANIA!" Oberon shouted as he along with a few guards ran into the room and turned on the lights, "Raven?" Oberon said, "I knew there was a reason I didn't like you." Maria said, "Why would you do something like this Raven? You have always been so loyal." Oberon asked as the guards took hold of Raven and took the knife from Maria, "WHY! Why wouldn't I try to kill her! I am your eldest daughter but because my mother was not your wife I was thrown to the wayside! I should be your successor and not some insolent brat!" Raven said, "No one wants her! The Queen herself abandoned her and yet you made me bring her back because what, she's the queen's daughter? She doesn't even have a mother!" Raven said suddenly Maria slapped her, "DON'T YOU DARE SAY NO ONE WANTS LADY TITANIA!" Maria shouted, "I was created by her father for the sole purpose of being as much of a mother to her as possible. I was made to be as much like her mother as possible. I have had the pleasure of raising her for eleven years now and at that time she has never once called me anything other than my name. That's because, to her, her mother Eve is still alive!" Maria said, "We would visit Eve's grave every day. In a world where God is the enemy nowhere feels calm, warm, or safe. Nowhere other than Eve's grave. It was the only place that felt warm and safe, the colors were vibrant and full of life. We would sit there for hours talking to Eve. I know I will never be able to take Eve's place, and I know Titania will never love me as she loved Eve, and I know that our world will never recover from Eve's death." Maria said, "So don't you dare say that she is unwanted, unloved, or that she does not have a mother because she has me and she has Eve." Maria said, "We shall deal with you later, Raven, for now, Titania is my top concern." Oberon said, "I would like to be alone with Maria please." I said, "Very well, we shall leave the two of you." Oberon said as he, the guards, and Raven left, "MARIA!" I cried as I hugged Maria, "There, there it's alright, you're ok." Maria said as she comforted me, "Please lady Titania don't cry, I understand that what you just went through was very scary but I will always be there to protect you, kitten." Maria said, "M-Maria, could y-you please call me what Mama called me?" I said as she dried my eyes, " of course I can, my love." Maria said sweetly, "Now let's get back to bed my love. You may share a bed with me if you wish." Maria said I just held onto her, "I take it you want to sleep with me tonight?" Maria asked I nodded, "Very well, how could I refuse such an adorable young lady." Maria said as she picked me up and together we went to bed, "Goodnight kitten." Maria said as she kissed my cheek, "Night night, Mama." I said as I fell asleep.
