TONY STOOD AT the entrance of the building with a bright smile in his face as Kendra came around with the groceries, her smile replicating his. She skipped the stairs two at a time as she made it to the front doors.

He took one of the bags from her arms and the two walked inside together.

"How was school?" He asked and Kendra smiled and nodded.

"It was great!" Kendra responded, "I made a few new friends, and I think I'm caught up on everything they're teaching."

"Wow," Tony spoke, amazed by her as they set the bags on the counter, "really?"

"Yeah," she spoke, turning to face, "but I cant tell you about the guy I saw today, if you knew anything, then it would destroy the universe."

Tony nodded, looking to Vision as he fazed into the room, looking at the groceries that Happy helped finish bringing in.

"Well, then we wait!" Tony spoke and he looked to Kendra, stiffening his hands and tapped her shoulders then the top of her head.

"Congrats, Kid, you're an Avenger, now go get ready for your first training session," Tony spoke and walked off. Kendra looked to Happy with wide eyes, her shock stopped her brain from functioning.

"Is he allowed to do that?" Kendra asked, alternating her attention between Happy and Vision.

"Hawkeye did it," Happy shrugged and Kendra slowly walked away, going to her room to change into a tank top and workout shorts. Kendra looked to Zeus who was perched on his stand.

"Sword and Shield?" She asked as she pulled her hair into a ponytail.

Wings only today, you'll learn how to fight, fly, fight and fly, and if you do well, shield tomorrow, Zeus spoke and flew over to her shoulder.

"Outside I presume?" Kendra asked as she walked outside, making her way around to the big backyard. Looking around, seeing that there was an enclosure of trees, Kendra walked closer to the trees, allowing Zeus to choose a branch to get comfortable on.

Do you remember what I said your first night here? He asked. Kendra took a few steps back as she didn't a look around once more, making sure there wasn't anyone spying on them.

"Imagine opening your back and stretching out," Kendra recited slowly as she closed her eyes, picturing her back opening up and soon she could feel her wings as if they were her legs. She stretched them out, hearing the pops in the joints as she ruffled them slightly, hearing the feathers rubs against each other like a peacocks would.

"It feels refreshing, like, a morning stretch," Kendra spoke as she opened her eyes, looking over to see them, they were double her size, but considering how much weight has to be carried around, she would understand why they would be so big.

They were a sleek black that glistened under the sunlight.

Now, open them up, Zeus instructed and he opened his own wings up, do what I do.

Kendra watched as he made the feathers tilt back. She did the same, looking to them, perfecting the position. Looking back to him, she smiled as she understood what he was about to tell her. Kendra began to flap her wings like she used to flap her arms when she was six and thought if she did it enough, she would spontaneously begin to fly.

She immediately started going up, it was rough at first and she instinctively stuck her arms out for balance. It helped her maintain that mindset as she got steadier.

It helps to set a rhythm, Zeus chimed in, Kendra went higher, leaning back and stretched her wings out and glided back down and swooped under, running into her landing.

"I think I'm getting the hang of this!" She spoke.

"And I always though my wings were the best in town!" Kendra heard a man chime in and she spun around, tucking her wings in behind her, the ends trailing on the ground by her feet.

Before her stood Sam Wilson, a man she knew as Anthony Mackie in her world.

"S-Sam?" She asked, her eyes wide as she looked behind him, "what are you doing here? If someone sees you they'll-"

"Don't worry," Sam raised his hand up to make her pause as he drew near, a smile on his face, "things have been worked out, we came to terms with the Accords."

Kendra raised an eyebrow and looked to Zeus, shocked.

"Are you doing another mind trick but that wouldn't be very punk rock of you," Kendra asked and Zeus blinked and she could have sworn she saw him roll his eyes.

No, idiot, Tony must have called them today and told them about the impending doom, Zeus spoke and Kendra rolled her eyes.

"You're always so condescending!" She exclaimed as she turned to Sam.

"If Tony didn't explain to us your peculiarities I would have written you off as a crazy person," he spoke and she chuckled.

"Well, it's wonderful to finally meet you in person, you're one of my favorite characters in my old universe," Kendra spoke as she held her hand out. Sam only chuckled as he shook it.

"Uh, thanks," he spoke and Kendra smiled, feeling Zeus perch on her shoulder.

"This is Zeus, he's the one that threw me down here," She introduced. Sam looked to him and gave him a nod. Zeus chirped.

"Is everyone here or is Bucky still in Wakanda?" Kendra asked, "because I'm still not sure how Tony feels about that, it is a rather raw subject."

Sam nodded.

"Bucky and Steve are in Wakanda, I'm actually going to host a session like I used to at the VA and try and get everyone to clear the air," Sam spoke and Kendra sighed in relief.

"Finally!" Kendra yelled out, a smile appearing on her face, "I've been needing that to happen for over a year now!"

Sam chuckled and she looked to Zeus as she retracted her wings, seeing them go back into their tattooed form on her back and upper arms. Kendra faces Sam as she saw people going in and out do the front doors.

"So when you do this, do you want me to be there?" Kendra asked, "because I watched everything when it came to this, and I even read up on it."

Sam nodded, the two eventually making their way back to the front doors.

"Yeah, that would benefit all of us, and if you ever need someone to just sit and talk to, you can always come to me," Sam spoke and Kendra smiled bright.

"Thanks," She responded, patting his back as she went to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water and went to her room, Zeus flying onto the bird stand and got himself situated.

"This is so out of character for team Cap," Kendra sat on the bed, looking to Zeus, "I mean, everyone on that team was following him and listening to his orders, cause, Steve, but for him to do a full one eighty it's just-"

Not him, Zeus filled in and Kendra nodded, chugging the water and throwing it away in the same trash can she had in her room.

"I guess we'll get some answers when Steve and Bucky come in," Kendra shrugged and grabbed a towel and a change of clothes, walking over to the bathroom in her room and shut the door.

"Hey Friday!" She called out, "play my badass music in my bathroom!"
