"HEY, S! I'M BACK!" ROWAN SHOUTED AS HE locked the door behind him, walking into the semi-large house his friend was currently in. The girl had been doing well for herself, saving up from her job to get her dream house. She wasn't the type that wanted a lot of luxury, but was absolutely in love with the idea of having a home that she could have her family in. So it was no surprise she was happy that two of her best friends were staying there.
"Finally!" Sara waltzed into the kitchen, and the latter took a moment to analyze her, his eyes flickering up and down at her attire. She took a spin. "What do you think?"
"Hot." Was the first thing that came out of the maroon-haired boy's mouth. He knew that that was what she was going for, and mainly wanted to hear. She played the part well. So Rowan set down the drinks in his hand and the bag from the café, leaning on the island in the middle of the kitchen. "So you're planning getting laid tonight, then?"
"Hell yeah." Sara grinned.
"What's up?" Kousuke walked into the room, heading straight for the bag full of paninis that were sitting next to Rowan. He gave the other boy a side hug, of course. His focus was mainly on the meal in front of him, though. It was only when he was interrupted by a cough, he noticed the brunette's appearance. His expression turned into one of impressed. "You're getting laid tonight." It was more of a statement than a question.
Sara laughed, her waist-length hair swaying as she turned to walk out the kitchen. "You guys are sweet. I'm gonna go finish getting ready. And you better bring your fashion sense, Ro."
"Hey, I have better fashion sense than you do." He defended.
"You're wearing sweatpants!"
"Cause it's a chill day!"
Kosuke shook his head at the two, rolling his eyes. "Fucking children. I swear." He muttered halfly under his breath, ripping apart a piece of the panini in his hand and taking a bite.
"I didn't miss that commentary." Rowan muttered, earning a shove. After that he let out a laugh, nudging the latter back.
"Shut up." He scoffed, switching to speaking in English. "You seem off. What's up?"
"Well, guess who I saw at the shop that ruined my mood." Ro raised a brow at his friend, waiting for a response.
"I'm never gonna fucking guess. You know that." He took another bite of the sandwich.
"Sakura."
Suddenly, Kousuke was raising a brow in return, earning a nod from the latter. He set down the food in his hands and reached for the cup of coffee. "Seriously? We haven't talked to her in years."
"I know. She was acting like we hadn't missed a beat." Rowan shrugged. "I made it clear that's not what was going to happen."
"So badass." Kousuke replied sarcastically.
"Shut. Up." He reached for the almost empty bag from the café, hitting his friend with it two exact times. He wasn't fazed at all.
"Wait, Sara!" Kousuke shouted. The transition from languages was quick. There was a slight tumble noise and a frustrated groan, and then heavy footsteps down the stairs. Finally, there stood the girl with an annoyed look, half her hair curled.
"What? You made me drop my curling iron."
"Did you happen to invite Sakura?" He ignored her slight attitude and annoyed tone.
Sara suddenly smiled. "Of course! And the others. Why?"
Kousuke and Rowan sighed. They made eye contact for a few seconds before turning back to the girl standing at the foot of the stairs. She had her hands on her hips, patiently waiting for their response.
"You're a dumbass." Kousuke finally said.
"Say it again." Sara threatened, pointing her unplugged curling iron at him. "Anyways, what's so bad about having them here?"
"We haven't talked to them in two years. What's the point?" The tallest of the two boys pointed out.
"Exactly. Thank you." Rowan agreed. He walked over to the fridge, opening it to grab a water bottle out of it.
"You're just scared." Sara said knowingly with crossed arms. Her weight shifted from one leg to the other.
He never turned. "What could I possibly be scared of?"
"Of seeing Naruto."
"You're the one who's trying to fuck Sasuke tonight. Don't try me." Rowan immediately snapped, closing the fridge door with slight force.
Kousuke choked on his coffee. "Holy shit. You know Sasuke's sworn off girls, right?"
"Is that why him and Sakura broke up?" Rowan knew he wasn't supposed to laugh, but he did. Kousuke always knew how to lighten up his mood. "Wow. Maybe you don't have a chance after all, S."
"They're on a break." Sara turned sassily, annoyance evident in her tone once again. "They're coming and that's that. If you're getting laid tonight don't do it here." And with that she was gone, returning to curling her hair for the party.
Rowan rolled his eyes. "Settle down, Rachel. Hypocrisy isn't a good look on you."
"I would be a great one night stand." Kousuke hummed absentmindedly. With a grin, he shook his head and set his coffee cup down on the island for good. "Unfortunate."
Sara groaned. "Shut up! The both of you."
"Chill, S! Anyway, If you want I can be with you the whole time."
"It's not like I need you there." Ro took a sip of his water. He reached for the paper bag and grabbed the last panini simultaneously.
"I really beg to differ. Remember in tenth grade when you got into a fight with a kid? You couldn't hold your mouth." The Japanese teen eyed the latter. "I had to stop you and get a swollen lip in the process."
"And I still beat your ass." Rowan smirked.
"Before I beat yours." Kousuke challenged. "Sometimes I can still see the black eye on you."
"Whatever. Point is, I'm fine. I'm not gonna get into a fight with Naruto." He held his hands up in defeat, making his way out of the kitchen.
Kousuke shook his head. "Or melt like silly putty either, I hope."
"Shut up, Ko!"
