Chapter 31
"Hey, Madi." I said walking inside the house and closing the front door behind me. I slid my converse off of my feet and walked towards the family room when I noticed that Madi was watching Once Upon a Time. I stood there for. minute or so before she finally noticed me and smiled.
"Hey Linnea! How was school today?" Madi asked as she turned off the TV and stretched out her arms. After stretching she set the extra large bag of sour cream and onion chips aside on the table.
"Good, I didn't know there was a dance tomorrow, at first though. Then I remembered it was the Valentine's Day Dance, apparently my mind was trying to block that info. Anyway, guess who asked me to go with them?" I explained, smiling as I waited for Madi to guess who asked me to the dance.
"Connor?" Made guessed with a shrug as she threw her head back in complete confusion since she knew she was probably wrong.
"No, I wish he asked me though. I have a feeling he asked one of Becca's little minions or something," I sighed with a disturbed tone in my voice,"he is definitely really cute."
Maxi clenched her teeth in thought," Ugh, I don't know! Who?" Madi shouted with a small laugh as she came up to me and looked me in the eye trying to find out who it was.
"Well, Alex Douson asked me." I replied grabbing a fiber bar for a snack from the cabinet and sitting down at our island counter.
"Oh, you know what? I think his sister graduated with me, I think her name is Selena but I'm not sure. Is he cute?" She questioned with a thumbs up and then a down, wanting me to choose one, as she opened the fridge to find a snack for herself.
"Yeah he is pretty cute," I admitted sitting down to start working on my math homework that had fifty two problems.
After a half an hour of or procrastination, I just couldn't do my homework since my mind was rolling crazily since I couldn't stop thinking about Alex.
I kept daydreaming about Alex and his cute soulful brown eyes and brown hair. Although my life took a major twist in boy drama, I truly think Alex and I are perfect for each other.
Well, then again, I definitely can't predict the future, I learned that the hard way. So I'm not one hundred percent sure that we are going to stay together through college since we are going separate ways. I've heard that long distant relationships just don't work out a lot so I guess I will have to wait to see what happens.
