Chapter 20

I woke up to my white ceiling. My dream catcher swaying slightly from the breeze that entered through my opened window.

Today is homecoming! I realized throwing my bedspread over to the side and hopping onto the floor. I looked over at the clock which read, 8:49 A.M. I knew homecoming started at three 'o clock, but I was dying to do my hair and get my dress on, which was a beautiful shade of blue and had sequins around the torso. Plus, the neon sky blue was waved for a pretty effect near the bottom of the dress.

I put it on and looked in the mirror to see myself in the dress. Madi had a really good taste in picking dresses, oh my God. I looked really beautiful in the dress except for the fact that I didn't have mascara or lipstick on and my hair was all fizzed up from sleeping. After a few more minutes of examining my outfit, I quickly put on mascara and slipped on some lipstick next.

Finally, I got to my favorite part of getting ready, my hair. I was starting to brush and at the same time that I was searching up cute homecoming hairstyles on Pinterest. I scrolled for at least a whopping hour until I found a really cute hairstyle. It was where I made a crown like design in my hair with my grown out bangs in braids and pinned them back.

Next, I curled my hair, because Maid thought I would look cute with curls. In about a half an hour I was done. I looked at myself proudly and went downstairs, Madi left a note on the table saying she went to Steve Skis, a skiing equipment store to get ready for their annual skiing trip. Personally, I didn't really like skiing, I was more of a snowboarder and  I liked to just stay inside most of the time with Hot Chocolate and a good book...and a blanket.

Anyway, so I grabbed two blueberry waffles and plopped them into the toaster. I'm that two minutes I kept texting Ethan about how I was so excited for homecoming. It felt like an entire day waiting for three 'o clock to come around.

Finally, it did come around and I was becoming really anxious. Then I heard Ethan ring the doorbell and I felt a rush of adrenaline in me as I hugged Madi goodbye. She smiled as she watched me open the door.

"Hey!" Ethan greeted, smiling," wow. . ." Ethan gaped as he looked me up and down examine my dress I was wearing.

"What?" I asked as I looked at me and then around the room to see what he was referring to.

"Your dress. . . I mean, look, you are just so pretty!" He commented as his cheeks turned a bright pink after he made that comment.

I smiled, blushing as we walked over to the car to go to homecoming, which would hopefully be a success.
