Ethan's POV

The Saturday started out boring. I kept thinking about Linnea. I miss her so freaking much but I just can't help it, I really, really, really love her.

" Hi." Colin jumped onto my back causing me to almost drop my phone from shock. I bent down to pick it up nervously and angrily at the same time.

"What the. . . heck buddy!" I shot back angrily. Shoot, I almost swore in front of Colin, this day is going to suck, I knew it. First the girlfriend now the stupid swear. I slapped my forehead in frustration and then looked at Colin. Honestly, the only reason I am making a big deal about swearing is because my parents hate it when I swear. Literally, if I swear I am grounded for two weeks.

"Ethan, did you swear?" Colin questioned raising an eyebrow at me. His hair was finally starting to grow back on his head again. His friends call him, old man, as a joke since he looks bald.

" Uh. . . no, whatever." I replied. "Anyway, I'm going to go on a run." I clarified as I rocketed downstairs before Colin could respond.

As I started pacing I ran into Becca who was walking with her friend, Ari who is in college.

"Uh. . . 'scuse me" I quickly piped sprinting past them and acting like I didn't seem her or Ari next to me.

"Ethan, wait up!" Becca shouted after me. I could feel her panting heavily as she tried to catch up to me as I ran quickly away. I turned around the have on last look at her, man she is cute when she is running. I don't know why but she just is.

I legitimately made a U-turn and ran straight back to my house. As I ran, everything beside me was a blur. I didn't see the trees, mailboxes and the homes, all I saw was my tinted front door that I had just shut behind me.

*Sigh*

"Yeesh, well you sure ran quick, was there a bear or something?" Colin added, appearing out of no where. Thankfully, he was looking at his iPod and not at me so I quickly took the advantage and I immediately sprinted upstairs into my bedroom.

"Shut up, let's just say, I was being chased by a bunch of girls. . ." I theorized pulling off my customized Nike shoes and throwing them into my closet.

Wait. . . I had to call Linnea right now. I don't even know if she was still going to homecoming with me!

I rapidly dialed her number and waited for a moment for her to answer the call. It was silent and then suddenly I heard her voice.

"Ethan?" Linnea's voice echoed in my phone, but I liked her voice when it was echoey. As she spoke, I realized that there was poor connection which meant that we could lose connection any second.

"Oh, hey Linny!" I answered happily since she heard her phone ring and she answered it.

"I miss you SO much!" We said in unison as we both let out a laugh.

"So, uh, how's New York City?" I asked as I played with a loose thread at the bottom of my t-shirt.

"We got here a few hours ago, actually. Currently, we are driving to the nearby mall." She giggled in response, she was probably really excited because knowing her, she loves malls.

"Awesome, I hope to see you soon, Becca and her gang were literally chasing me down the street just a half an hour ago!" I laughed.

"Oh geez, well I got to go because we are stopping at Culvers before the mall, so I will talk to you later!" Linnea ended as she hung up the phone before I could answer.

"Okay, bye Linnea!" I concluded, basically speaking to myself since she had already hung up.

I put my phone down and lay on my bed for a moment, contemplating about what I should do next. Pretty much my life was now:

Eat.
Sleep.
Eat more.
Play on phone.

While I was rummaging around in our cabinet, our land line started ringing. I love seeing who called so I immediately ran over to see who it was.

     It was North Carolina State University (NCSU) calling. Wait. . .this is the the college I want to go to! Oh God, I have been waiting for 5 months for a call from them and here they were. Probably about to tell me I wasn't accepted but whatever.

My stomach was feeling all fluttery and weird. I picked up the phone as nonchalantly as I could and answered it.

"Hello, is this Mr.Ethan Coo?" The man inquired, his voice deep and stern. I was silent and then I realized I needed to answer.

"Oh, uh, yes, it is." I answered nervously as my heart was pounding against my chest and suspense was now flying all around me.

"Good, because you have just been accepted to NCSU, of this morning.We sent you an email and I hope you will come to take a look at the school later in the year."

Oh my god, I am so excited, I just got in NCSU, the most best college ever!
