3. The Scream

The Hermits finished eating, and a few of them chose to explore. Slowly, everyone except for Etho chose to go, and they separated. Only a few groups of three were made, as they left. Beef, who had chosen to go alone, was walking down a hallway with tattered light green wallpaper. The photos on the walls were all torn, except for one, which had shown Evelyn in front of a Cafe. He shrugged it off, entering a room with a deep purple door. It was a bedroom, and it had a few electronics, including an art tablet. He left the room shortly after, not wanting to mess with someone else's belongings. After a few more rooms, he sat down, leaning against the wall. He knew it wasn't a good idea, but he needed a break, as he was walking for about an hour. He closed his eyes, but after he did so, a loud bloodcurdling scream could be heard. It echoed, and it shook Beef to the core. He bolted towards the sound of it, and he hoped for the best, hoping nothing bad had happened. He knew these thoughts were childish, but he still believed. He made to the room, to see a group of people outside of the door. His eyes widened, as he remembered that Etho had stayed back, all alone. He tried pushing through the hermits, but he was held back. They were shielding him, and he was scared, for his boyfriend, and why they were trying to keep him away. Meanwhile, inside of the room, Etho was lying on the ground, a sword in his gut, and multiple stab wounds around the rest of his body. His blood was pooling around him, and his normally pearl-colored hair was more of a light pink. He also had yellow-purple bruises on his throat, showing he had also been choked, presumably after he screamed. His eyes were half-lidded, and he was in the center of the room. Looking at the placement of the wounds, he probably fought back, though it was heavily implied not too. Beef finally pushed through everyone, and he gasped at the scene in front of him. He broke down, collapsing, and tears were streaming down his face. He choked out sobs, and he looked up again to see a purple veil, covering Etho. He magically disappeared, and the blood also melted away. All except for a hand print on the wall, and the few stains on the closest couch. Beef stayed where he was for a few minutes as the rest of the hermits filed into the room. He had just lost his boyfriend, and he never got to say goodbye. He wiped his tears, and stood up, entering the room. Once he entered, the door slammed shut behind him, and another hologram appeared. "Hello. I see the first death happened. I would like to state at the end, all will be revived." Evelyn said softly, looking at Beef with caring eyes. "V and I will be overlooking everything, and making sure everything will go as planned. Tommy, Tubbo, your friends will join us soon. I believe it will be after the third or fourth death." She added, cutting off a bit at the end. "Yep! The third death. V just confirmed it. Good luck" She finished, the hologram flickering before disappearing.

--------------

Beef sighed, he felt a bit better knowing Etho wasn't dead for good, but it was still scarring. He had just seen his boyfriend's dead body, but he seemed to feel a tad better. Meanwhile, Etho was a spirit, but he was unable to be seen. At least, not by anyone we have met yet.
