•1• "What's The Worse That Can Happen?"

"That's it troops! Stab those mannequins like they're your arch enemies!" The general instructed, causing a burst of motivation to break out in his army.

Every one of those 2,000 soldiers quickly worked their way through the training dummies, the fire in their eyes burning brighter after their leader's words, all motivated to grow stronger, to slash through their enemies...

All except one.

The brown haired boy, younger than most, stood tall, waving his sword in both a lazy and seemingly arrogant manner. He looked towards the thousands of soldiers in front of him, sighing as he half heartedly swung his sword, slicing his target in half.

The general called on the boy, instructing him to come over to him. "What's your name boy?" The general asked.

"Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook, sir." The younger bowed slightly, before standing up straight to meet his general's eyes.

"Well Jeon, tell me, why are you here?" Jungkook looked at him with surprise, not expecting the sudden question.

"W-what do you mean, sir?"

"I mean, what are you doing here? Of all places for a young, handsome man like yourself to be, why here at the royal castle? Why work as a soldier of a prince?"

The general once again asked, eyes sharply scanning the younger boy in front of him, waiting to hear an acceptable answer, and after thinking for a while, Jungkook finally spoke.

"...You see sir, I've never been one for fighting or fame, respect or honour. The only reason I'm working for the kingdom is for money. Money is all I need, all I want, all I'll get." Though his answer was not that of a warrior, it held as much truth as the certainty of tomorrow's dawn.

"Mhm, I see... work hard then, Jeon Jungkook." The general hummed.

"Yes, General Kim." He answered, jogging back to join the rest of the soldiers.

"General Kim! His highness would like to see you." One of the maids called, signalling for him to come inside the castle.

Kim headed towards the Prince's room upon being informed that his presence was required, passing pillars of quartz and bulletproof windows, knocking on the door once he arrived.

"Enter!" A voice said, before he made his way into the spacious room. The king sized bed was placed in the middle of the room on a slightly risen platform, dark pinkish-reddish walls surrounding it. On top of the bed lay fluffy white pillows surrounding a pink haired boy.

"Your highness, you wished to see me?"

"Namjoon, we need to talk."

"Hurry up slow poke! If you don't keep up I'll leave you behind!" The excited Elf joking threatened, watching his best friend take his time strolling through the kingdom streets.

"If you don't shut up, I'll use my arrow to stab your throat." The Archer coldly replied, though he still picked up his pace as not to lose the younger boy.

The two now walked side by side, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the street, watching children running around, salesmen gathering customers and men and women laughing together.

Then, the Elf had an idea.

"Hey! Why don't we visit the castle!"

"Yeah... let's not. They don't let people from outside the kingdom go inside, after the incident..." The archer warned.

"Oh come on you mood killer! It'll only be a quick visit~" the elf tried to persuade the older, who refused to give in. "And besides..." he started, once again.

"What's the worse that can happen?"
