"Lost & Found" (Revised), Ch. 21 (PG-13, S): Nights of Love and Christmas Eve Joy
In the late afternoon on their wedding day, Tuesday December 23rd, Jocelyn and Matthew take a taxi back to their flat, their home after their wedding reception. As Matthew opens their front door to their home, he holds Jocelyn back and she looks at him quizzically—not the least of which is that she has to visit the bathroom again. But, Matthew gently sweeps Jocelyn up into his arms and carries her across the threshold of their home. He gently sets her down and closes the door behind them.
The newly married lovers embrace and kiss adoringly, amorously--Matthew eagerly pulling the pins out of Jocelyn's hair and letting it fall softly about her shoulders. He cannot wait to love her this night.
Jocelyn: Then, Jocelyn [(2) right] winces urgently with a sheepish grin and holds out her index finger--which Matthew promptly kiss. "Matthew my love. Hold that thought. I'll be right back."
Pregnant ladies should never be separated from their bathrooms for very long. As Jocelyn dashes toward their bathroom, Matthew rocks his head back in laughter.
Matthew: "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! That's alright my Love. I'm right behind you."
A smiling Matthew [(3) right] slowly lopes after her--his gait slow and seductive, like a panther--and then he sits on their bed, waiting for Jocelyn to come out of their bathroom. Matthew twists his gold wedding band on his finger. It has been a long time since he wore one. They had to cut [his] first wedding ring off of him because his injuries from the accident had swelled his hands. And it was unrepairable as a ring--except for melting it down and having it made into a smooth flat round amulet of sorts with their initials MKM (for Matthew, Karena, and Matty) engraved on it that Matthew carries in his pants pocket always, rubbing it for comfort--almost like a talisman.
Then Matthew takes the amulet out of his pants pocket and he reverently places it in the velvet lined box he uses for storing his cuff links and such on top of his dresser. Mathew's life and heart are full of love again--as is his heart full with joy again. It is having Jocelyn in his life that will now give him comfort--and joy. So though his eyes are brimming with tears in remembering his first family, they are also brimming with tears of joy for his and Jocelyn's love.
After a few minutes in the bathroom, Jocelyn walks into their bedroom with a sheepish grin on her face.
Jocelyn: "Sorry Matthew."
Matthew: "Not at all, Jocelyn Dear. You have a good excuse, a wonderful excuse!" Matthew pulls Jocelyn toward him in a warm and tender embrace and says from his heart full with love for her, his voice deeply timberous as he smoulders with love for her. "You look so beautiful today my darling. I've never seen you lovelier." He leans over to her and he kisses her tenderly on her lips.
Jocelyn: "And I've never seen you look more handsome, Matthew. I love you so." Jocelyn caresses his face, brushing a hair away from his eyes.
Matthew: "I love you so, Jocelyn."
Matthew and Jocelyn kiss each other adoringly and tenderly. But, they must each remove and hang up their dressy wedding clothes nicely before their honeymoon wedding night may truly begin.
Jocelyn: "Matthew, I will need your help in unbuttoning my dress at the back." She smiles lovingly and coquettishly at him.
Matthew: "With pleasure, my darling." He growls suggestively at her in his deep velvety voice.
Their joy in being together as lovers, husband & wife, and future parents to be need not be constrained. Then silently Matthew and Jocelyn begin to undress each other. First, Matthew removes his suit jacket and hangs it up. Then Jocelyn loosens his light blue silk tie and she removes it from his collar. Jocelyn turns around and Matthew unbuttons the two dozen small buttons of her ivory satin wedding gown that go from the nape of her neck to the small of her back. Matthew leans down and he kisses Jocelyn's creamy skin on her neck and back as he pulls apart the fabric of her gown. Jocelyn trembles with her husband's loving touch.
Jocelyn turns around to face Matthew again and she now slowly unbuttons his shirt buttons from his neck to his trousers. Then she opens his shirt wide and kisses his chest as she slides his shirt off his strong arms and shoulders. Matthew is bare chested in front of Jocelyn now. She runs her hands along the muscled planes of his expansive shoulders. Matthew reaches down and lifts the hem of Jocelyn's wedding gown up and over her head and he hangs it up for her.
[P] Jocelyn is now wearing only her satin and lace slip and her satin and lace bra and panties--where Matthew sees a small blue ribbon bow in the middle of her bra and his eyebrow rises mischievously. The small blue bow is Jocelyn's something blue, only for her husband Matthew's eyes. Jocelyn unbuckles Matthew's belt, unbuttons his trousers, and unzips them. Matthew slides his trousers off of his body and he hangs them up. Matthew is now wearing only his briefs and socks.
Matthew sits on the edge of the bed and removes his dress socks. Normally, he wears his socks to bed during the cold winter months, but his wedding night is a special occasion--so, no socks. Then, Matthew opens his arms wide and Jocelyn leans her body into him and they kiss and caress each other with tenderness and loving abandon. Matthew lifts Jocelyn's slip up and off her body--caressing her pregnant tummy now, where their baby sleeps and grows.
[P] Baby Drake has been quiet for most of the day, not causing his [or her] mummy any discomfort. Jocelyn and Matthew pause now, in wonder as they both hold her tummy, waiting to feel their baby kick. And as if the baby knew [its] greeting was wanted, it [gives] a little kick that both Jocelyn and Matthew feel. Matthew and Jocelyn each sigh, then kiss each other sweetly.
But this is their wedding night and they will have a very loving one--despite the fact that they have already, technically, consummated their love. They are now husband and wife, and their union is a blessing to each of them. Matthew's kisses begin to trail down Jocelyn's neck. And he then buries his face in Jocelyn's full round satin and lace bra covered breasts, kissing them and her adoringly through the satin and lace fabric.
Jocelyn sighs with Matthew's intimate touches on her body and she kisses his forehead as she outlines his shoulders and chest and abdomen with her caresses. Matthew moans with the anticipation of their pleasures of love. Now Jocelyn's and Matthew's need for each other can no longer be delayed or denied. Matthew peals Jocelyn's satin and lace panties off of her hips and slides them down her legs as he kneels on the floor now kissing her abdomen. Jocelyn's passion for her husband unfurls as she welcomes his loving attentions. Matthew reaches up and unhooks Jocelyn's satin and lace bra and slides it down her arms and kisses her loveliness as it is revealed to him. Matthew also removes his remaining clothes and he and Jocelyn slide into bed together.
Matthew and Jocelyn have to be careful and not have Matthew's weight on her pregnant belly. So, they are creative in their lovemaking as a new husband and wife. Matthew adoringly, lovingly, passionately, and tenderly kisses and caresses his beautiful wife Jocelyn as their lovemaking intensifies. He is hers and she is his, forever--their loving union soon to bless them with their first child. And then, waves of pleasure and joy and bliss tremble through Matthew's and Jocelyn's intertwined bodies as they tremble in ecstasy together.
Their love reaches its perfect fulfillment in their loving arms--husband and wife, soul mates and lovers, and new parents to be. Matthew rolls he and Jocelyn onto their sides with his arms embracing her back and he kisses her lips adoringly, tenderly and lovingly as their raptures are fulfilled. Jocelyn is lost is a whirl of loving sensations as she kisses her Matthew sweetly and tenderly as they cuddle together. Jocelyn feels completely loved and cherished by her Matthew.
Matthew: "Jocelyn, my darling, my wife, I love you with all of my heart."
Jocelyn: "Matthew my love, my husband, I will love you always, now and forever."
Matthew and Jocelyn tenderly kiss and cuddle for some time whispering words of love and hope to each other as Matthew strokes her hair and kisses her temple, while Jocelyn slowly rubs his cheek with her index finger, before falling asleep in each others' loving arms on this, their wedding night.
***
Though an 11:00pm December 24th Christmas Eve Service--usually referred to as Midnight Mass--is always lovely with the songs and sentiment of the season as it ends with everyone holding a single candle, that time is too late at night for the very pregnant Jocelyn. So on Wednesday December24th--the day after their wedding--Jocelyn and Matthew content themselves with attending the 4:00pm Children's Christmas Pageant service—that one day their own child or children will be a part of.
It is a lovely service filled with cherubic and enthusiastic children singing songs and playing Joseph and Mary, sheep, shepherds, wise men, or angels. Then, there is the inevitable after service treats that everyone enjoys that Jocelyn and Matthew also take part in. Jocelyn is once again wearing her purple velvet empire waisted dress with the ivory colored lace color and sleeves and she looks quite beautifully pregnant. And, some of the children cannot help but notice that Jocelyn is having a baby like Mary does in the Christmas Story and they come up to Jocelyn eagerly while they are still in costume.
6 year old Angel [(4) right]: "Oh Mrs. Drake?" She asks using Jocelyn's new name. "Are you having a baby like Mary?"
Jocelyn: "Yes dear, we are." Matthew puts his arms around Jocelyn's shoulders and gives her a kiss, smiling with pride and love.
8 year old Mary, the Mother of Jesus [(5) right]: "Are you going to have your baby at Christmas time, too?"
Matthew: Laughing at the thought of them having a baby tomorrow on Christmas versus in four months he says "Ha ha ha! No dear, we have four months to wait until our baby is born. So, tomorrow, we'll just all think of the baby Jesus. Hmmm?"
5 year old Wise Man [(6) right]: A little boy wise man, who obviously is not typecast, asks. "Where did your baby come from Mrs. Drake?"
Now Jocelyn and Matthew are a little astonished to be almost at the point of giving a birds and the bees talk to their parish's little ones. But, happily, the Vicar steps in to relieve them of their discomfort.
Vicar Nelson: "Love, my children. All babies come from love." The children nod their heads satisfied with his simple answer. Then changing the subject, the Vicar [(7) right] suggests. "I think all of you did such a wonderful job telling the Christmas Story that you should quickly change out of your costumes so you can enjoy some of the treats that we have for you. Hmmm?" And the children gleefully go and do that.
Jocelyn: "Whew!" Jocelyn blows out the breath she had been holding when the kids asked their question. "Thanks Vicar. That was a close one. Since I work at the university, the young people there don't ask such pointed questions."
They all laugh: "Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Matthew: "Yes, my Love. But we'll have to get used to it. As your pregnant tummy grows, Jocelyn Love, you'll become a very interesting person to these little ones."
Vicar Nelson: "That's right! We haven't had a baby born in the parish for about three years. So, you're quite the celebrities at the moment." The vicar smiles cordially at them.
Then Marcia Glass [(8) right] walks up and joins their conversation. Jocelyn and Matthew had noticed that Marcia and Vicar Nelson had seemed friendly at their wedding rehearsal and then at their wedding yesterday.
Matthew: "Marcia, lovely to see you again." He says leaning down and kisses her cheek.
Marcia: "Thank you Matthew. It's lovely to see you both. Jocelyn dear, you were such a beautiful bride yesterday." She says giving Jocelyn a gentle hug.
Jocelyn: "Thanks Marcia. We're so glad that you could join us. And, it's nice to see you here today, as well."
Vicar Nelson: Blushing a little, Vicar Nelson admits. "It was I who invited Ms. Glass to join us for our holiday services, since she told me that her family was out of town this year." He explains.
Marcia: Marcia nods cordially at Vicar Nelson. "Yes, it's nice to be included. And it's fun seeing all the families sharing in the holiday festivities."
Matthew: "Though we'll be asleep at home by then ..." Matthew says patting Jocelyn's pregnant tummy as Jocelyn grins. "... are you going to be back for Midnight Mass?"
Marcia: "Yes. I've always enjoyed Midnight Mass services that end in a silent candle light parting after singing Silent Night [video in sidebar at right] --it is so beautiful and moving. And Nelson, I mean Vicar Nelson ..." Catching herself and using the more formal informal mode of his title plus his first name. "... says that you do that here. So, I decided to join you." She smiles broadly, with a little blush creeping up her face.
Jocelyn: "Well, you know Marcia, if you and Vicar Nelson don't have other plans, Matthew & I and Michael & Madge will be having Christmas supper around 12noon at our flat and you'll be welcome to join us." Jocelyn invites them expectantly as she smiles warmly at them.
Marcia: "Oh, I hadn't thought that far ahead." She thinks about it--not wanting to impose, but also not wanting to be alone. Then she replies. "It would be nice to be with a family for Christmas since mine are out of town. Thank you, I accept. It is very kind of you to invite me." She says graciously.
Matthew: Vicar Nelson, are you able to join us as well?"
Vicar Nelson: "That will be delightful. I've not been invited to a mid day supper yet. Though, I am expected later at the Cosgroves for dinner around 6:00pm."
Marcia: "It's nice that your parishioners keep you in mind at the holidays." Marcia says smiling at Vicar Nelson and he smiles back at her.
Jocelyn: "Well, you have Matthew and my address. So, just turn up around 12noon and we'll eat around 12:30pm."
Matthew: "Yes, we look forward to seeing you both."
Then, after eating some cake and punch themselves, Matthew and Jocelyn head home for a quiet Christmas Eve. They have a loving evening together--as the newlywed couple that they are--before they drift off to sleep in each others' loving arms.
