Chapter 9
Moon's POV
Why must everything be so impossible?
Everything is impossible? Wow, you're really great at existing than.
"Shut up!" I screamed. "Who said that?"
The demon inside your soul
"Whaaaaat?" I said. "Who is this really?"
The disembodied author.
"Oh, hey there Moonlark," I said, feeling a little awkward.
Hey... uhh, yeah. This is somehow more awkward than talking to Ember.
"Wait, you talked to Ember?" I asked.
Hypothetically, yes. I can travel through any of my books.
"Wow, wish I could do that." I commented, a little stunned.
Okay, step 1. Read Story Thieves. Step 2. Jump into the book...
"Huh?"
Kidding, kidding! My goodness! Even Shadewalker isn't this tense!
"Shadewalker?" I asked.
One of my Spirit Wolf friends. Cocky arrogant asshole.
"Wait, if you're a wolf," I asked. "How are you able to write these stories?"
I can't. I just hired a girl named Nina to write it for me as I tell her what to write.
"Nina?"
Well, actually. Nina isn't her real name, but she goes by it because almost nobody seems to be able to pronounce her name correctly even though it's very easy to do so.
"So... this Nina. Does she live in this world?"
She lives in Minecraft. But her location is sworn to secrecy. She mentioned how triggered she's be if somebody found her.
"But... how did the two of you meet?"
An awkward conversation for another time. Do me a favor, Moon and forget everything I told you alright?
"Wait," I said. "I have a quest..."
Than Moonlark left.
