ntw[pl. AlvFiAna] Vacker Sibling Bonding Time

Note: AAA

Sorry. Okay. So. People always count Biana and Fitz as siblings but forget Alvar is still their older brother. And I want more Vacker sibling fluff (although I'm awful at writing fluff and don't think this is quite it, hehe whoops?) with all THREE of them. Sooo. ENJOY. OR DON'T. IDC.

Yah, anyway, so if I missed any triggers definitely let me know.

OH ALSO.
They're humans for this one, and instead of being a like, 28 year old adult, Alvar will be 18 years old. Fitz will be 16 years old, and Biana will be 13 years old. Just a fyi lol.

And, if you guys are thinking "Wait this isn't Alvar's personality", then uh, go read the Alvar scenes in book one, two and four (before he was revealed to be a member of the Neverseen). I know that it was just a mask, but for this oneshot, it is NOT just a mask, it's actually him.

. . .

A knock sounded on Fitz's door.

"Who is it?" he called, taking the next few seconds to shove his awful sketch of Marella Redek under a stack of homework. Keefe was the artist, not Fitz. But he couldn't very well go admitting that he maybe had a crush on Marella Redek to him, so he'd tried to do a drawing of her himself.

He couldn't explain his crush on her. She was exactly what he thought he didn't want: gossipy, fiery, fierce and uncaring about her appearance, showing up to school in wrinkled clothes and without any hair spray in her hair, only a few messy braids. But try as he might, the mighty Fitz Vacker was secretly falling head over heals in love with the idea of him with her.

   ANYWAY!

"It's me," Alvar said open the bedroom door, "And we've got a problem."

"You can deal with your problems yourself."

   "I said we, not I."

   "Fine. What is it?"

Fitz loved his brother—he did. So much. But, he was a older brother, and they were siblings. So, that meant that they easily got on each other's nerves, almost every single day.

"Biana has a date planned with Dex Dizznee."

Dex Dizznee. A huge computer nerd at Biana's school. Fitz had talked to him for a minute or two when Biana invited all of her school friends over for her birthday party, and he'd seemed nice. A little weird, but kind. And Biana had been crushing on him for awhile.

"..good for her. And where is the problem?"

"Just this: Whenever a girl gets a boyfriend, she ignores everyone else for him. Story says that Elwin gets lonely because he feels like she's always out with me." Story was Alvar's girlfriend and Elwin was her father. He had been single when he adopted her, but had married a guy called Terik a couple years ago. And that was all Fitz really knew about her.

   "So you're worried...why?"

"She's thirteen, Fitz. Not old enough to be going out with boys. We should have two more years being her whole world before that."

Fitz had to admit that he wasn't quite ready to let his sister go just yet. She was still so innocent—only just out of her childhood years. Only just learned how to apply makeup, and obsessed with Disney movies, and Taylor Swift, and stuffed animals still. Not quite mature enough to know her "type" or have set proper boundaries or decided on her standards for whoever she was to fall in love with, in order to protect herself from having her heart broken.

Fitz nodded. "Alright. What did you have in mind?"

"Well, if she knew she had awesome brothers, she wouldn't wanna toss us out just like that right? So, maybe we just do what she wants all day or something. That was my idea."

Fitz groaned. He knew that, with a little sister, that would probably include makeup and dresses, and who knows what else? But if it was so that he could protect her from boys until she was more mature.. "Fine."

   "So we're agreed?"

"Yeah yeah. When is she going on this date?"

   "Tomorrow evening."

"So we're doing this today then?" Fitz asked. What have I gotten myself into?

"Ready when you are." Alvar grinned.

"Let's get this over with." Fitz said, standing up, but Alvar just shoved him back into his seat. "Dude, what? This is your idea."

"Yeah, but that's the wrong attitude. You'll never make any girl feel special like that. You need to act like you want to do what she likes. Remember when you were five? No? Well anyway, sometimes I'd have to watch you for mom and dad and you'd want to play with blocks. I would want to play with legos, or watch my shows, but would play with you and Biana instead, helping you guys build with the big baby blocks. You guys loved it. Remember?"

"Now I do, and you liar. You had fun playing with us."

Alvar shrugged. "When I set aside what I wanted to do first. You guys loved it, so it was worth it. But that's what we've got to do today with Biana. Make her feel special, like we actually want to know what she likes. Trust me, this stuff will come in handy when you're dating too. It's something good to learn."

Fitz practiced getting his attitude right with Alvar to help him and give him constructive criticism—constructive criticism that really made Fitz want to throw pillows at him. But, eventually Alvar said his attitude was good enough and they sought out Biana.

She was pretty easy to find. She was on the couch with her ear buds in, humming and swaying to whatever music was on.

Alvar leaned over and plucked a ear bud out. "Hey Bi-Bi."

"Alvar! Gimme that back." she said with as close to a angry frown as she could muster. Fitz took the ear bud from Alvar and gave it back to Biana.

"Hey, chill out sis. He didn't mean to upset you."

"Annoy, a little bit, maybe." Alvar shrugged with a grin.

Biana rolled her eyes, good natured now that she had her ear bud back. "Well you definitely reached your goal. So what do you guys want?"

"Well, listen up cuz this is a first of it's kind deal, but how does this sound: Fitz and I do WHATEVER you want for the rest of the night. Watch your movies, dance to your music—"

"Bake whatever dessert you want," Fitz added, "Anything. Really."

Her eyes lit up. "Seriously? Are you joking?"

"I wish," Fitz kidded, "But nope. This is real."

"..why?" Biana asked, squinting from brother to brother suspiciously.

"Because we want you to tell all your friends that you have the best family in the world, obviously." Alvar joked.

"Sure. Does this mean you'll wear makeup and dresses with me?" she squealed as her eyes lit up.

Yeah—I knew that would happen. Fitz mentally sighed, but physically nodded. "Yep! Well, if that's what you want."

He barely finished his sentence before she jumped up squealing, doing a little excited dance, "This is the BEST DAY of my LIFE!"

"Is that a yes then?" Alvar laughed as she dragged them to her bathroom.

"Okay, dresses first! I may need to borrow some of mom's...yeah, I'll be right back."

She ran out quickly and came back with two dresses. She handed the navy blue, sparkly one to Alvar. It looked like it would come to about his knees and the neckline was see through, and Fitz remembered his mom wearing it to the party that they'd had for the new year.

The one that she held out to Fitz was teal and silver. It was more of a ball gown with a few layers of fabric for the skirt that would come to his ankles about, and he almost groaned, but caught Alvar flashing him a smile, encouraging to keep up a good attitude. As much as he DISLIKED ALVAR FOR BEING SO FOCUSED ON HIS ATTITUDE, it did help him to catch himself and remember why they were doing this. For Biana. To make her feel special, to be good big brothers, to remind her that they do love her and she doesn't need to try to catch other boys attention, without actually saying any of that aloud.

I know they say that actions speak louder then words, but seriously, couldn't we just go give Dex a few warning threats so he knows what will happen if he breaks her heart?? And tell Biana to be careful what boys she trusts?? Does it have to be THIS?

"I guess I'll go change first." Alvar said, leaving the room and coming back a few minutes later wearing the dress.

"I, uh, can't zip it up all the way."

"Probably cuz you go to the gym twice everyday!" Biana laughed, "Mom isn't as buff as you are, but you're good. At least it looks like its up about halfway, so."

"If you're sure it's alright. Okay, your turn little brother." he smirked and Fitz shook his head, trying not to laugh at seeing his brother in a dress.

"Fine. Don't start the party without me."

Fitz went to his room to change, then struggled to adjust all the different layers of skirts—why did his have to be super frilly?—and zip it up, then tie the sash in a super messy bow. How do people tie bows that are ON THEIR BACK!? I swear it's like a super power or something.

When he looked himself over in his mirror, he found himself a bit disappointed that it fit him perfectly. He wasn't as buff as Alvar and he, apparently, was his mother's perfect size. How. Embarrassing.

He dragged his feet back to Biana's bedroom, putting on fake enthusiasm right before he opened the door. "Alright, what do ya think?" he asked, twirling around for Biana to see.

"Oh! It's perfect! It goes so well with your blue green eyes." she complimented, then went back to applying Alvar's makeup.

Already his face looked more smooth, eyebrows more perfect, and Biana was working on his eyeliner right then.

   "Looking good, Alv!" Fitz snickered.

"I'm totally gonna send Story pictures of us once Biana has worked her magic." Alvar says, one eye closed while Biana was applying eyeliner, the other one taking in how probably ridiculous Fitz looked.

"Yes! And I'll dress up too and we can ask who she thinks looks better. Of course she'll probably say you cuz you two are in LOOOVE, but we'll still ask."

After Biana finished Alvar's makeup, she applied Fitz's, and he looked totally different when she finished. He and Alvar BOTH did. It was sort of really embarrassing, but at the same time, he did pull it off pretty well.

"Okay, now shoo while I get ready for the photo shoot—and don't mess anything up!" Biana warned them.

Alvar tried to take a seat on the couch, but the dress seemed to stretch too much so he ended up standing. Fitz sat down though, and resisted the urge to run a hand down his face.

"Going good so far," Alvar assured him, "She's really happy."

"Yeah, I can tell. What other torture do you think she has in mind for us?"

"It isn't torture, it's fun. It's different from normal and a nice experience."

"Mmhm." Fitz hummed, then reaching for his phone that was on the coffee table, scrolling his social media while he and Alvar waited on Biana. It took a while, but finally she came out.

She wore a beautiful purple dress that was poofy like Fitz's. It had a thin pink side bow and slightly poofed sleeves.

His sister looked beautiful. She always did.

   "Alright! Gimme your phone Alvar."

"What? Why?" he asked, raising a eyebrow.

"Because I wanna take the pictures and send them to Story."

Alvar started to hand it over. "Mmm, okay then."

He didn't look all too happy about that and Fitz found it pretty funny.

Biana turned it on, then stomped her foot. "Uh, lock code?"

"Oh, right I forgot—" he said, holding his hand out but Biana swatted it away.

"No no no, I mean, tell me what it is so I can punch it in."

Alvar waited a couple seconds, Fitz assumed for a "Just kidding!", but when there wasn't one Fitz could see him mentally reminding himself that he can always change it later as he mumbled, "Sixteen eighteen."

"My age and yours?" Fitz asked.

"Yeah. I mean, could be. Or maybe it could be Story's and mine, but who knows really?"

Fitz's mouth made a O shape and he gave a okay sign.

"Alright. So lets start with individual pictures and then we'll take one with all of us. You guys ready?" Biana said, opening the camera on Alvar's iPhone.

First she had Fitz stand by the bookcase, and then she snapped a few pictures, then it was Alvar's turn, and then she took a selfie of herself. After all of the individual pictures, she scrolled through them to see how they turned out.

"Great so far! Alright, so let's all group together, I'll stand in the middle and you two stand like that. Just try to add a bit more pose...alright decent."

Biana set the timer and placed the phone on the computer desk right in front of the bookcase.

When the picture took, she picked the phone up to look at it. "We look great! So where do you talk to Story?"

   "Discord."

Biana opened her brother's Discord and found Story's DM's, sending the four pictures to her. Biana then handed Alvar the phone. "Okay! So. It's like, five thirty now. Mom will probably have dinner ready in a hour and I'm thinking after chores we can watch a movie, with brownies if Fitz feels like starting those now, and until dinner we can color?"

"Yeah I can do brownies. I should probably step out of the dress though so I don't ruin it."

"I probably should get back into my clothes too before I rip mom's dress."

"Oh, okay! You guys go do that."

After they were back in their clothes, Alvar drew with Biana and Fitz made brownies. Baking for his friends was always fun. He wasn't as great as his mom at it, but decent at least. Sophie and Keefe, his two best friends, liked his baking a lot.

His mom came in to start some meat for tacos. She looked at Fitz, then Alvar. "Are you two wearing eyeliner?"

"And mascara, blush, foundation and whatever else? Yep!" Alvar grinned.

Mom laughed. "You all look so pretty! How did Biana rope you into that?"

"They offered to do whatever activities I wanted today, so I went with makeup and dresses first, and now Alv and I are coloring while Fitz bakes brownies for watching Beauty And The Beast tonight."

"That all sounds fun." Della said, clearly pleased that her children were getting along so well today.

"It was, and then we took pictures to send to Alvar's girlfriend. Here, look." Biana said, taking Alvar's phone and going under gallery. Della awwed over the pictures, chuckling to herself.

"Did his girlfriend ever say anything?"

"Uh," Biana checked his Discord, "No, not yet."

"I see. Well, I hope your movie night goes well."

"Mhm! And you're making my favorite dinner, right? Is it my birthday or something, cuz this is amazing!"

When it was dinner time, Alden came in from his office. He also found the makeover amusing and gave his sons approving nods, and Fitz had the feeling that his father already understood why they were allowing this.

After dinner, Alvar did dishes, Biana cleared the table and Fitz picked up the counters—as per their everyday after dinner chores. Then Fitz grabbed the brownies, Alvar grabbed the big bag of popcorn in the pantry, and Biana set up the movie.

Alden and Della also decided to watch the movie with them and Della brought out a whole stack of pillows and blankets and everyone got comfortable with their plates of snacks, snuggling up together. Alden sat between the arm of the couch and Biana, Dell sat on the other side with Fitz and Alvar sat in the middle, right between his younger siblings.

Biana had picked the Beauty and the Beast with Luke Evans as Gaston and Josh Gad as Le Fou. Fitz found himself enjoying it. This was the first time he was watching it, actually, and it was way better then the cartoon in his opinion. As the credits rolled, Biana turned to look at both of her brothers as she sat up.

"Okay you two. So why did you want to do whatever I wanted tonight? Does it have something to do with the fact that my first date is tomorrow?"

Alvar and Fitz glanced at each other and Alden and Della pretended to be paying no attention as they scrolled their phones.

"Well," Fitz started, "Kinda? Not that you planning a date is wrong or anything—"

"Just that you guys are scared I'll forget you?"

"It's not quite that, but a little bit? Mostly just want you to remember that if a guy isn't treating you well, uh, you have...I mean, you have two older brothers who love you and will...not to undervalue yourself, basically." Alvar admitted in a mumble.

Biana smiled. "I know I'm priceless already, but thank you both. And you too, mom and dad. I have the best family a girl could ask for, especially brothers," she gave Fitz and Alvar a hug, "You guys are amazing. And you don't have to worry, Dex is one of the kindest guys ever. He'll treat me like a princess."

"I hope so. If he doesn't, he'll be in a world of regret." Alvar promised, making everyone laugh at the classic older protective brotherly statement.

And a whole family group hug was how the night ended.
